41  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Introducing BitCoinz SuperStore - bitcoinz.ca/shop on: July 12, 2011, 07:12:22 AM
Hello,

I have noted the recent comments about Bitcoinz.ca/shop. I have removed the "directly" from my manufacturers comment. I did not realize it would cause confusion and accusations of it being a scam. We do deal with Dealextreme as noted above. Dealextreme is just the first supplier I have setup and many more will follow.  I have added mention of the drop-shipping aspect of the operation. My store is still in it's infancy and I truly apologize for any confusion I may have caused. I value all your input. I am an engineer by trade and Bitcoin enthusiast by passion. I believe in the viability of the Bitcoin economy and just want to do my part to make it a reality.

It is a legitimate operation I assure you. I have had many, many orders over the past few days Smiley. Thank you all for your patronage. Please forward me any comments as suggestions.

Peace.

Thank You,
T. Andrew Wozny

Hello,

Thank you for your input. We are expanding our products line to include many sources. What you see is just a meager start. We are working very hard to bring low price deals to the BitCoin community. Five new customers today, thank you all for your patronage. Peace.

Hello,

The prices are adjusted daily (if required) based on MTGOX / USD @ New York FOREX close of 5:00 pm EST. Being a FOREX guy it seems to make sense to carry on the tradition. MTGOX was selected because it is still the largest exchange around.  The site pricing structure is setup to handle the small ups and downs of usual price volatility. Large price swings either +/- will be accounted and adjusted that day. You will always get a great deal @ BitCoinz.ca. The CA domain does definitely represent Canada. I have lived in both Canada and the USA and am unaware of any power supply differences. No need for any converter or anything travelling between our two great countries.

I value the great people that frequent this forum and look forward to hearing your critiques. Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what products you would like to see added or removed. I truly believe that to make BitCoin a successful currency it must be used and adopted by the masses. This is just my meager attempt to set the bar a little higher and stimulate the flow of bits. I am adding products daily so please check back often and/or follow me on Twitter and FaceBook for updates.

If anybody has any business ideas you would like to discuss with me let me know. I am always looking for new avenues to explore.

Keep safe. Peace.

54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoins interest rates possible? on: June 26, 2011, 11:29:11 AM
No do not introduce Interest into the Bitcoin market. The whole concept of interest is what is destroying the real fiat currencies of the world (USD, CAD, etc). It would last for awhile but eventually destroy the whole BTC economy..just look around the real world to see examples of that. Why not just setup the Banksters here too....NOT.
55  Economy / Marketplace / Question about Bitcoin Auction Plugins on: June 19, 2011, 09:34:03 PM
Hello,

Does anybody know how to integrate Bitcoin payments into any of the readily available auction scripts. Is there any existing projects to do this?  Anybody know what some of the existing bitcoin auction sites uses?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

57  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Re: Problem with Tabsa's "Bitcoin payment via mybitcoin.com" for OpenCart on: June 19, 2011, 11:31:58 AM
I just had to change the text to all be NOT on one line ... This is what it should look like .

<?php
$_['heading_title']      = 'BTC mybitcoin.com';

// Text
$_['text_payment']       = 'Payment';
$_['text_success']       = 'Success: You have modified BTC (via mybitcoin.com) payment module!';
$_['text_btc_mybitcoin'] = '<a onclick="window.open(\'https://www.mybitcoin.com/\');"><img src="view/image/payment/bitcoin.png" alt="Mybitcoin.com" title="Mybitcoin.com" style="border: 1px solid #EEEEEE;" /></a>';

// Entry
$_['entry_order_status'] = 'Order Status:';
$_['entry_status']       = 'Status:';
$_['entry_sort_order']   = 'Sort Order:';
$_['entry_username']     = 'SCI Username:';
$_['entry_autokey']      = 'SCI Automation Key:';
$_['entry_btc_address']  = 'Your Bitcoin address at mybitcoin.com:';

// Error
$_['error_permission']   = 'Warning: You do not have permission to modify payment BTC (via mybitcoin.com) module!';
$_['error_username']     = 'Warning: SCI Username is required';
$_['error_autokey']      = 'Warning: SCI Automation Key is required';

?>

Thank you Gabriel Beal for the idea in thread : http://forum.bitcoin.org/index.php?topic=5392.0
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Technical Support / Problem with Tabsa's "Bitcoin payment via mybitcoin.com" for OpenCart on: June 19, 2011, 10:51:33 AM
Hello,

I am attempting to add Tabsa's "Bitcoin payment via mybitcoin.com" gateway to OpenCart 1.5.0.4. It is hosted on a linux based hosting company. I was able to install OpenCart with out any problems. All functions work fine.

The problem arises when I installed : http://www.opencart.com/index.php?route=extension/extension/info&extension_id=1981&filter_search=bitcoin&sort=e.date_modified&order=DESC

The installation steps for the Bitcoin payment gateway were as follows:

1. In mybitcoin.com enable merchant tools, checkbox "Enable SCI Payment Automation"
2. In mybitcoin.com "SCI Receipt URL:" fill in [http://YOUR_OPENCART_URL/index.php?route=payment/btc_mybitcoin/callback]
3. Upload files into your opencart installation

Steps 1 through 3 no problem,  step 4 is when it craps out.

4. Go to your opencart administration. Extensions -> Payments -> "BTC mybitcoin.com" click [Install]

When I go to Extensions -> Payments that is when an error screen is generated:

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_VARIABLE in /home/bitcoinz/public_html/shop/admin/language/english/payment/btc_mybitcoin.php on line 1

The path listed in the above error is correct. I have looked at the btc_mybitcoin.php file but have no idea why it is failing.

This is the text from the btc_mybitcoin.php file:

<?php$_['heading_title']      = 'BTC mybitcoin.com';// Text$_['text_payment']       = 'Payment';$_['text_success']       = 'Success: You have modified BTC (via mybitcoin.com) payment module!';$_['text_btc_mybitcoin'] = '<a onclick="window.open(\'https://www.mybitcoin.com/\');"><img src="view/image/payment/bitcoin.png" alt="Mybitcoin.com" title="Mybitcoin.com" style="border: 1px solid #EEEEEE;" /></a>';// Entry$_['entry_order_status'] = 'Order Status:';$_['entry_status']       = 'Status:';$_['entry_sort_order']   = 'Sort Order:';$_['entry_username']     = 'SCI Username:';$_['entry_autokey']      = 'SCI Automation Key:';$_['entry_btc_address']  = 'Your Bitcoin address at mybitcoin.com:';// Error$_['error_permission']   = 'Warning: You do not have permission to modify payment BTC (via mybitcoin.com) module!';$_['error_username']     = 'Warning: SCI Username is required';$_['error_autokey']      = 'Warning: SCI Automation Key is required';?>

Can anybody shed some light on what is happening and why it is failing.

Many thanks in advance

Peace
