41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 12, 2023, 08:25:44 PM
Many say Girona will become La Liga champions after beating Barcelona, but they forget Real Madrid whose main target this season is to win La Liga. Girona did manage to beat Barcelona, but many of them didn't realize that Girona was unable to beat Real Madrid. When they beat Barcelona, Barcelona's players were always dull on the front lines, wasting too many opportunities, which is what caused them to lose. Meanwhile, Girona efficiently took advantage of opportunities with good finishing.

We'll see later, how strong they are able to maintain their prowess in competing with Real Madrid, whether it's just temporary luck that adorns moments in Spanish football or whether they can be consistent so they can stay in the top four until the end of the season. Because Laliga still has a long way to go, it could be Bilbao or Real Sociedad who are the surprises in the top four.

Yeah Madrid are close to Girona on the table. Girona are putting up an exceptional series of performance but the question is will they be able to keep this up? especially when its just midway through the season. Madrid are known for their consistency and I think even a loss or draw in a fixture can give way to Real Madrid to overtake them on the table. Madrid will be closely looking for this opportunity and right now Girona are in pressure to keep up their position. Still I think Girona will be satisfied with what they have achieved so far. It's certain that they will be able to make a good finish in this season. Now they are just trying to make the best finish to the season.

Even though PSV and Arsenal are certain to qualify for the round of 16, the match between PSV and Arsenal was exciting. And in this match, in my opinion, both teams have the same performance and squad, the current score in the first half, Arsenal has scored 1 goal against PSV.
Even though Arsenal had a slight lead in possession of the ball, PSV also fired 13 shots, and 3 of them were shots on goal. Meanwhile, Arsenal only fired 5 shots and 1 shot managed to score a goal, the goal was scored by Nketiah in the 42nd minute.
The match in the first half was quite tough, and in my opinion PSV had a chance to score a goal in the second half and Arsenal had to strengthen their defense and also take advantage of counter-attack moments to add goals.

The match has now entered the 70th minute with the score PSV 1 - 1 Arsenal, PSV managed to catch up with their score in the second half which was scored by Yorbe Vertessen, actually PSV still has a chance of failing to progress to the next round, but with 1 goal they have currently making their position safer with a difference of 1 point from Lens. FYI, Based on statistics, PSV has a bigger chance of winning in this match, of course it won't mean anything to them, but at least it will make their supporters happy and build their mentality for the next round.

Arsenal are already safe and have advanced to the next stage so there was need to stress much out in the match when they are about to face Brighton and Liverpool in Premier League soon. Arsenal did well given their lineup but I am sure Arsenal would have totally dominated the game if they had rolled out their first team faces for the match. PSV on other hand had to win the match or draw to qualify and they did. Yeah PSV had good stats and tried their hard but in the end they got what they wanted even though they got only 1 point out of it.

Arriving Kylian Mbappe will make Madrid completed on all position, have good midfielder and Mbappe will make Madrid more solid on attacking line with Madrid easily to win many trophies next season. Lets hope official announcement with Mbappe agree for joining Real  Madrid next season.
Madrid has some wingers right now. Having mbappe in the club may not make the club to perform better too. There are no guarantees that is having him in the club will make it even better.
I rather than try to hire cheaper winger rather than him. Mbappe is not the only winger can score for the club.

This is the main reason why club is not that interesting to sign mbappe but im not talking about EPL clubs coz they have money that can be used to buy everything.
Madrid is the only way for Mbappe to continue to extend his brilliant career  but that doesn't mean Mbappe has an important role for Madrid.  Now the position has reversed because since Mbappe rejected Madrid first offer everything has changed completely. Madrid can still look for other player options that are cheap and even  more suitable. Rumors  are circulating  that players  from Brazil are being targeted in  the transfermarket next season and I hope that Madrid will continue to create stability  in every line. Vinicius and Rodrygo just need to continue to develop and  for strikers it's up to Florentino Perez  to decide.

Do Madrid still need a striker? Right now they have some good players and soon there is a young beast coming in their team in form of Endrick. I think in some years his love will finalise and I think Madrid will have the perfect squad back again. Mbappe is also a good signing but there are lot of uncertainties around him. We have seen earlier also how close he was with his move but then again things changed in a snap.  They are only missing a striker but there is no rush as they will be having that soon in next season hopefully.

Last season he performed very well and everyone was happy with him. Let him complete two seasons before we can say something about him being fired. He brought champions league game to old Trafford and he won manager of the month of November which means he is doing something good, but not to the expectations of the fans. Let him finish this season. January transfer window will soon be open, let him buy players and do his magic.
I trust the process, but if there is no progress, obviously I am also disappointed. Including Man United, they suffered setbacks for this season. Maybe giving a chance is an option, and he should be given a deadline and maybe the end of the season if there is no improvement then he has to leave. He had been given a lot of money to buy, but he couldn't take advantage of it. The players and the philosophy of the game seem to be unsuitable for English football.

I think board still has some trust left for ten Haag. Yeah it's a difficult situation and ten Haag also should try other options like Sancho instead of disciplining him. It is giving a very limited room and breaking down the atmosphere inside the dressing room. I feel that they have a very good squad but they are not using their full potential. Ten Hag needs to clear the air and try again right now.
45  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 11, 2023, 08:10:53 PM
For Ten Hag United and Pochettino Chelsea, they did not join in the competition in the top four, because these two clubs had quite strange, humorous performances and were difficult to predict. But on the other hand, I am more interested in Newcastle, I think in the future they could be a stumbling block for anyone, just like Aston Villa.
I was thinking that Chelsea would give it their all to finish in the top 6, but  as things are now going, I don't think it will surprise me as much if Chelsea ends up in the relegation zone. They are currently in 12th place, having previously struggled in 10th place. Every time they begin a match, their playing style always surprises me, it's always so good So I'm still confused as to whether Pochettino or the players are at fault.
The performance of Newcastle cannot be compared to that of Manchester United and Chelsea, But Manchester United will perform better if they can get a new manager.but the issue is, who will be the next manager?
I don't think Chelsea will be relegated from the premier league. There are other teams who are not playing very well at the moment. Pochettino is a good manager, I just think the players are not really implementing his his game plans on the pitch. I think they didn't buy the right quality players during the transfer window.

Chelsea are doing much better than bottom of the table teams. Their level hasn't stooped so low that they will be relegated so easily. They have lot of good players in squad and I think they have lot of potential to get back on track again. The team chemistry is just not upto the level that a big 6 team should have inn Premier League. Yeah they also need to make some good signings in area where they lack, for instance on defence (particularly centre back).
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 11, 2023, 07:51:56 PM
I am always in favor of having a good backup goalkeeper. There should be an option that will not cause any problems with being a backup and will give confidence as a backup performance. Karius is not good at this. He has questionable performances and I'm not sure he can give the team confidence in Pope's absence.
It's complicated too actually as whenever you have a good backup goalkeeper, manager always have tough time dealing with options then. Take the situation at Arsenal for instance but you have to get a strong goalkeeper when main goalkeeper gets injured for a long term. Situation at Newcastle is same and I think best thing to do right now is to sign a goalkeeper on loan.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: La Liga (Spanish League) Prediction Thread 2023/24 on: December 11, 2023, 06:26:26 PM
I could have predicted that Barcelona would lose, but I couldn't have predicted that they would concede 4 goals. They conceded those 4 goals in a home game. Some matches have really surprising results. Girona players really wanted to win and they showed it in the match. They have endless energy and they always want to score goals. They don't care who the opponent is and they just want 3 points.

I'm really curious to see how they will do in the next games, it's hard to stop a team that scored 4 goals away to Barcelona. We will see in the next games if they will continue like this or if we will say goodbye to a dream early.
Girona have really been the surprise team in La Liga this season, and their success in beating Barcelona put them back at the top of the standings. Barcelona played with fear of losing against Girona, we can even see that Michel's squad has more good opportunities and could embarrass Xavi squad by more than 4 goals. It's a shame that efforts to reduce the point difference with Madrid failed this time, because their defense line was quite porous. Xavi must immediately improve, if he doesn't want the standings to form with a bigger point difference.

Girona is motivated by the assumption that they can only win against mediocre clubs, and Barcelona is the club that was slaughtered this time to confirm that all these assumptions are completely wrong. Their defeat to Madrid cannot be used as a reference, and now we see them leading the standings again. The next match will be an event of consistency for Girona, and I think the match versus Alaves will be completed easily.

Girona really have been playing great so far and its just halfway to the season but its also important to maintain the consistency till the end. Barcelona also tried hard in that match, it's not like that they didn't tried at all or played with fear. They also had intent to win the match but Girona had better tactics and good gameplan to counter Barcelona till the end of the match and they succeeded in the end.

Girona have been fearless against any opponents in La Liga and at this rate they might get more than what they have targeted in the beginning of the season. To me it's good to see some unexpected team leading the table or having a good position on the table for a change. Who knows maybe they will win the league but it's a very tough road.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 11, 2023, 05:53:24 PM
I also support the fact that I think ten Hag needs to be sacked, his performance this season has been below average and I think the board of Manchester united has giving him enough time.
He has actually caused more harm to Manchester united than good, don't forget Cristiano Ronaldo warned Manchester united against him and after that he has had fall out with promising talents like Jaden Sancho. It's just not working and Manchester united has to know that.
You mentioned these players and you're correct about the details you dropped. Erik Ten Hag has had a falling out with most of his key players this season; there is little he can do to reconcile with his players; instead, he is intent on controlling his respects and acts toward his squad. Suggesting Erik Ten Hag's dismissal is not advantageous for the club because we should be well aware of the team's serious situation, and every other manager has little to add other than testing their techniques with a completely newt tactics.

Yeah sometimes too much discipline also does harm to the team and we can see this in the case of Manchester United here. I still think that Erik ten Haag is a good technical coach but he has to loose himself a little sometimes. Right now United are in a very difficult stage and I also think that he has to get some chances to the options that he has and make changes so that he can turn around the performance of United otherwise yes he will be sacked very soon.

De gea must become the best options for all of them but in fact that if everything totally depends on the various things. I meant that if de gea has no good history at the end of his career since manchester united was kicking him out. I see no points to use him as a new goal keeper for the newcastle. Unless the club will be trying to take a part on it. It's a risky decision from newcastle and i think that will better if newcastle is trying to get another goal keeper but de gea has a very good experience as a good keeper on MU for so many years. His experience was more than enough to make him play in the newcastle.

It seems like Newcastle likes to buy goalkeepers who have been sorted out at other clubs. In the case of De Gea, I don't know. But Newcastle has Loris Karius sitting on the bench as well who has not made a single game thus far if I am not mistaken. Is Newcastle looking for a new number 1 goalkeeper? I missed those news then, I only noticed that De Gea is still without a club and could be signed any time I suppose. They have all these old goalkeepers. For the long term they should try to find a great talent that will take the goalkeeper position for a long time. It is one of those positions where consistency is key more than anywhere else.

I think injury to Nick Pope has made them look after a very strong goalkeeper. Nick Pope have been exceptional for the Magpies and injury of Pope has made a huge dent in their squad. I think someone like Karius can be considered as a temporary change or in case of short term injury but I don't think it's a great choice for long run. Buying another goalkeeper will also be a waste as when Pope will return it will be hard to deal with excess goalkeepers then. I think best option is to see if there are some good goalkeeper in other team sitting on the bench and sign them for a short term or on loan.

50 millions were only market value and club was never using it as their measurement to determine the price tag for their players. Felix's real price was around 100 millions but where will barcelona get that amounts of money? Im very skeptical regarding the financial condition of barcelona at this moment. I have also a strong reason caused by barcelona was usually being warned by la liga regarding FFP. Barcelona needs to sell at least three players to bring felix to the camp nou as a permanent transfer.
So many times other clubs were also sending offer for felix but atletico only wanted to let him go out from the club if there will be a club that is willing to pay 100 millions for him. It sounds non sense but this is the truth.
Im waiting for efforts from laporta to bring felix to the campnou as a permanent player owned by barcelona. His performance in the barcelona is not that good but for me 100 million were over priced for a talent like felix.

Yeah Atletico Madrid will be targeting to get at least 70-80m Euro out of Felix's sale but I also think that Barcelona right now aren't in good financial condition. But I have been surprised earlier when Barca managed to spend some in a transfer window year ago (don't recall now), so it's still possible that Barcelona might make a stretch to get Felix into Barcelona. Also they have another option of getting him again back on loan for the new season and maybe in next season to that they will be in good financial condition to finally go for Felix's permanent move but it all depends if Barcelona are feeling up going for it.

At this point Chelsea owners and fans would start to lose faith in their head coach. Losing to Everton today after just coming back from a loss to Manchester united is far too much to take. I think Chelsea are far behind in terms of form and it may take a while before they get back to form.

Also Everton has been fantastic this season and they have been good lately, defeating Chelsea without conceding is a great feet to attain and they deserved the victory today.

Yeah they will be starting to grow impatient. Chelsea had been playing good before this game but I think owners will still give a bit of more chances before sacking him eventually. I think Chelsea have a very good squad and its just chemistry within the team which is not right at the moment. Everton also have been in good form lately so I feel that it was a bit tough match for Chelsea despite the position of Everton on the table. Anyway I think Chelsea will turnaround this form from next match. Chelsea have Sheffield in next fixture and I think Chelsea will dominate them completely and should be able to post a win on their results sheet.

After a series of bad performance, Tottenham have found themselves dropping out from the top 4 spots on the table. I think the players of Tottenham should be motivated with the support of their home fans cheering for them when they play against West Ham United and I guess it should be a home victory at the final whistle.

They had good start in the beginning but when it's about title race you have to maintain the consistency and with the injuries that hit them recently it is hard to keep up with consistency with lack of good players. Today's game against Hammers ia tough one and it becomes more tough when their main man Maddison is out with injury. Still I think Spurs will try hard to win the points but Hammers are not an easy opponents to deal with. I would say both teams to score is a good bet in today's fixture.

Few hours left have several Premier League matches from

  • Sheffield vs Liverpool
  • Fulham vs Nott Forest
  • Crystal Palace vs Bournemouth
  • Brighton vs Brentford
  • Man United vs Chelsea
  • Aston Villa vs Man City

Liverpool must take three points away match against Sheffield after Arsenal won last night and they have 5 points left, not much problem get three points for Liverpool. I think have interested match between Manchester United vs Chelsea, Erik ten Hag under pressure right now after several bad matches result and have speculation more than 50% of Manchester United players want ten Hag sack from his position.

It's not only Liverpool but everyone who are behind Arsenal on the table. Arsenal were lucky last night but in the end 3 points is what matters. Anyway seems like United vs Chelsea will be highlight of today's fixtures. Both teams have been struggling but have top quality squad. It would be an exciting fixture to watch. I will say Chelsea are playing quite well compared to United so I am going for Chelsea win today.
54  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 05, 2023, 07:12:17 PM
~~~
The last head to head result occurred in 1991, and it seems that if you consider a head to head result like that with the current condition and situation of the team it seems like a joke too. Because after all, at this moment it is clear that Arsenal are the best in the Premier League and yes, even from the previous two seasons Arsenal managed to have good results too . Meanwhile for Luton, in reality Luton this season is only a promoted team and what's more, Luton at this moment is also in the bottom zone in the Premier League standings. So yes, considering their head to head matches doesn't have any impact at all at this moment, because their quality is clearly very different this moment.
For Luton Town, the match against Arsenal is a mission impossible to win. But no matter how difficult the match is, Luton Town must remain optimistic to give their best even if the result is nil. Of course Arsenal is the best team this season in 14 matches, but no one can guarantee that they will always win their matches against any promoted team, including Luton Town.
The chances of Luton Town winning this match are very low, as is the probability of a draw. Arsenal are favorites to win by 3 points and if Arsenal's performance is good then I think the score will be more than 2 goals today. Luton Town can usually score goals and they rarely lose without scoring, except against Chelsea, Manchester United and Tottenham. But perhaps, Arsenal will not give Luton a chance today to find a single goal until the end of the match.
Luton Town might be having poor time in PL right now but that is no reason to undermine them at all for Arsenal. Arsenal are enjoying a good lead on the table and are on the top of the table. So Arsenal wouldn't want to lose that lead here and Luton on other hand would be trying hard to get some points on the table for change so to be honest Arsenal should go all guns out and no mercy against this fixture. There is no point to relax right now in this game. Hopefully Arsenal will win this easy match and register another 3 points to their account on the table.
55  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: ⚽ Football Transfers Speculation, Odds and Predictions on: December 05, 2023, 07:05:38 PM
If you see Felix's condition in Barcelona, Xavi should start preparing money to buy him. After scoring the decisive goal, I think Xavi is increasingly convinced that Felix can adapt to Barcelona better. Maybe Barcelona can take advantage of this January transfer. It seems that Felix failed to thrive with Simeone and got into trouble. His performances were very declining and different when he was at Benfica. This kept Simone from giving away many minutes so he went to Chelsea last season and is currently at Barcelona.
Yeah Felix is a very good player and he is finding himself in good form at Barcelona right now. And, Barcelona are also happy with his performances as he is slowly becoming a reliable player for them. I think Barcelona for sure will try to buy him but are they ready to match what Atletico values Felix for? I think Atletico would want approximately 80-90n Euro and I think Barcelona won't go that far to buy him. Anyway will see how things develop in next summer transfer window.
56  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 04, 2023, 07:43:48 PM
I also see that their performance this year is very worrying, of course if Chelsea is consistent in the match they will steal points at their opponent's base, this will again create a bad image for Manchester United. If they want to appear in other leagues next year, of course they have to maintain their current position until the end of this league, otherwise their hopes of appearing in other leagues will be dashed.
United have been performing poor lately. Not sure what is going on but they are behind by 3-4 points from getting into top 5  of table. They can still make a good finish but right now teams performance is not that good nor atmosphere around the team.
Game against Chelsea is an important one but Chelsea also have been playing great football lately. It's at Old Trafford so United have the boost but will they able to redeem it in the fixture, well let's see.
57  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: December 04, 2023, 12:55:55 AM
Manchester City fell to 3rd place in the points table. I think Pep thought he would definitely get 3 points in this match. City played the match at home and took the lead 2-1. After 2-1, I thought Manchester City would widen the gap even more, but it didn't happen. As always, Tottenham managed to get points by playing better in big matches.
Spurs performance has slipped in last couple of games. Today's match was a good match and Spurs did a good job today. Spurs had the early break but it was a short one as in 3 minutes City also found their opener. After then City dominated the game but in last point of time Spurs also found goals and equalised with City. Now with that drop City has moved to 3rd and Spurs has moved to 5th position on the table.
Arteta made a mistake because he failed to calculate the optimal form of the team for the rest of the season. This season I didn't think Arsenal would be a contender for the title, but they are now top of the table and that means Arteta still hopes to fight for the title.
For me this season in the Premier League is looking very cool with Arsenal, City and Liverpool fighting for the championship and Aston Villa is ready to give this group worthy competition, for which Emery has special respect. For me, City is still the favorite, but I understand that any team from the top 4 can become champions.
They weren't at the beginning considering the performance from last season? Are you joking? They have such strong squad and reliable players and I don't think they are not a title contender. They have shown how consistent they are since last season and are still going strong so I think you are wrong here. For me, they have been since the beginning. I had bit of doubt in the middle with some loss of points in between but still they have been really going strong so far.
City are always favourite as they are king of being consistent in PL. They can easily cover the gap (if there is) by going on consistent and win matches for long run. They have a very good strong depth and a top manager which is why they always have been the favourites no matter what.
59  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Premier League Prediction Thread 2023/2024 on: November 30, 2023, 07:31:05 PM
You are right, Arsenal has 1 point less after 13 games and 1 goal better difference than last season after 13 games. Does that really mean anything? In my opinion it doesn't. They also have the strongest defense so far, which they did not last season although it was still great.
I also don't think it means anything especially considering 25 more rounds to play before the end of the season. A lot can change in those 25 rounds and it is right now important for the team plan things properly in order to maintain their consistency. Race has just completed 1/3rd of the distance and there is more to go but with proper planning everything can be achieved.
Quote
I think we are going to see a close race between Arsenal, City and Liverpool. I don't think Aston Villa can go at this level for a long time.
That's the main challenge for them. Aston Villa are an average team and so far they have been spectacular or say out of ordinary. So the main questions arises for how long they can stay consistent. They had a good start but can they continue it for long time. Depth and quality of squad determines how far they will go and till now they have shown their quality. If things go like this Aston Villa are gonna make a surprise finish at the table by the end.
This has been discuss before because Manchester United only want to sell Jadon Sancho this summer but Juventus only want to loan him so most likely Manchester United will refused Juventus offers and about Dortmund actually this team is Sancho priority if he want to leave Manchester United this because previously he was able to performing well with Dortmund so Sancho hopes he can able to find his touch again at this team but the most problem is currently Sancho salary is 250.000 per week and this salary was categorized as high amount of salary and we all know Dortmund doesn't want to pay any players with high salary so Sancho chances moved to Dortmund is quite small unless Sancho want to lowering his current salary
If Jadon Sancho's former club Dortmund demands a lower salary for him to play for them again, he should do so. Dortmund is known for producing great and talented players, many of whom are now football superstars. If they want him back, he should be willing to go there so he doesn't lose form from being out of the field for far too long. He is still a young player who will fit into the Dortmund football pattern. A loan should not be a viable option for him right now, and Manchester United are unwilling to accept a loan offer for him. If no other major clubs are interested in signing him as a full player, it is better he accepts a salary cut and play for his former team before another big offer comes for him in the future which I believe will in the short possible time considering the type of great and young player he is.
It is not clear if Dortmund are interested to get Sancho back on permanent move. I feel that with lack options and the only option of loan to Juventus seems the only and best option to at least get some playing minutes otherwise player gets dull and the most important thing is that he will unable to showcase his skills and performance and draw attention from other clubs. I think right now after the spat with ten Haag it is important for Sancho to move out of United and get some playing minutes elsewhere. I find Juventus loan deal perfect unless a better offer comes for permanent moves but it seems that Juventus option is the only one on the table.
