Guys I think this coin is dead. I mined it when it was first released...there's no discord, no community...yeah mining works but you can't do anything with your coins. It will never ever be listed on an exchange and never be developed. I would suggest to stop mining immediately. Unless someone has some information that I don't?

Any word on the fork? Or when we might have a discord channel? I'm anxious to chew the fat with other bitnoters!

Ubuntu is free. You can run a virtual box (also free) with ubuntu on your windows system and install the linux wallet to use in the meantime. I know it's not ideal but it would let you get in the game.

ybelevi I had this error compiling in Ubuntu 17. I fixed it by remedying the "All warnings being treated as errors".

What you need to do is clone the github. Go into your bitnote directory and grep search for "Werror *"

it will show up in 2 or 3 files. You then need to VI into those files (I believe they are all cmaker files) and DELETE any place you see Werror.  Save those files, recompile...it will throw the warnings but not stop compilation. In the end, the wallet works. I have been mining since last night and receiving payments.

I am mining this coin because I was able to get in early with a linux wallet. But I don't know much about it. Those of you who are mining it, why are you mining it? Do any of us know where it's headed? Will there be a discord? Going to exchanges? Are there masternodes?

I second a discord group, would be very helpful for creating community!

Mined all night on Lycheebit. DO NOT MINE HERE UNTIL THE ADMIN ADDRESSES THIS ISSUE.  Nihil is currently on the WRONG CHAIN on lycheebit.  I lost my entire crypto bankroll taking a chance on NIHIL...mined 210 of them on Lycheebit...all now gone I cannot get in touch with the pool owner. He lists his contact as his user here on bct. I can't write to him as he rejects msg's from newbies. I'm sorry to gripe publicly, I don't know what else to do and I want to make sure everyone knows of the issue as there are still people mining NIHIL on lycheepool as we speak! 11ghz/s worth! Please stop mining and please Lycheebit admin, please give me my coins

That was fast! I'm very excited to start seeing this coin move and grow. I'm glad I got in early. Theres still time to be a part of crop coin before things really take off!

Mining cropcoin is seriously the most excitement I've had since I started in crypto. It's good mining and the prospects are all good. I cannot wait to see what the coming week(s) bring for Cropcoin!
