There is a new MANDATORY wallet update called Version 2.1:

It was created to solve syncing issues and works much smoother than the previous update. In addition to minor optimizations and security measures to ensure that extractions are further normalized, all communication between Version 1 and Version 2.1 has now been stopped.

This update also removes ~dirty from wallet version and displays V2.1 correctly.

Please note that V2.1 the ONLY VERSION that will be used moving forward and will be the one exchanges will be utilizing for security and safety purposes.

If you do not update to V2.1 you will not be able to send/receive to exchanges and will not be synced correctly.

When you have synced 100%, make sure that you are at the same block as the Main Explorer:

A new script for Masternodes will be made by Xezz to assist with single and multi cold node setup.

As it is a quick update, once the exchanges, the majority of the community, and staking services have updated to 2.1, exchanges will re-open deposits and withdrawals promptly.

Steps for updating to the MANDATORY V2.1 Wallet Version:

✅ Before doing anything, backup your wallet.dat file somewhere safe. Do not send it to anyone.

✅ You will need to remove all of your files in the %appdata% "AprCoin" folder EXCEPT your apr.config, masternode.config and wallet.dat files.

On Mac OS, these files are located in "~/Library/Application Support/AprCoin". It may be a hidden folder, so hit "CMD+SHIFT+." to unhide it in your Home folder. On Mac, you will also have to delete your APR Coin wallet from your Applications folder before installing the new V2.1 wallet.

✅ Run the V2.1 wallet application.

✅ You will be synced to the correct chain.

Over 51% of all nodes on the APR Network MUST be on on the new wallet version to get rid of exploiters once and for all.

The exchanges are compiling and testing the new wallets. On block 293,000 they will simultaneously open deposits and withdrawals (approximately 4 days from now).

This is to ensure the security of the network moving forward and to remove all Masternode reward and POS exploiters from the network. You will not be able to transact if you are not on the latest version of the wallet after that block.

A wallet update for APR Coin will be released in the coming few days. In accordance to standard practices with exchanges updating wallets, the APR Coin wallet will be put into maintenance mode on all platforms and deposits/withdrawals will be paused until the update is complete. Throughout the update process, it is highly recommended that you do not send/receive coins to ensure your balances remain safe. This update was announced on page 1 of the ANN, as well as on all APR social medias including Discord and Telegram. A member of the team responded to your question on Discord in the Exchanges-Support channel.

Once the new wallet version is released on GitHub, it is 100% mandatory that you use only this latest version. You will be able to safely transfer your balances from your old to your new wallet by using your wallet.dat file. Please be absolutely sure to save and back up your wallet.dat file for your current APR Coin wallet(s).
