Yeah, I think rates that far below I'll just hold onto it until an exchange picks it up. But I am willing to part the whole 1400 for 1 btc to undercut the general trend. Or negotiate, but 0.3LTC is 0.008 btc and that's far too small for the lot. Nevermind the 0.001... Variations can be 20-30%, but not 3 orders of magnitude...
Good lad. Unless someone makes you a serious offer, I would hold on to them. Right now it takes something like 1Mh/s to generate 50 coins in a day. Just because you mined them off the bat, it doesn't mean that they are worth any less. This is no DOGE.

HAHA I didn't say this was the giveaway section just saying we need one This pretty much tells us that we need one. Addresses in signature. (Hey, when in Rome...)

We have put together the original wallet and packaged it along with the libraries.
Thanks for doing that. Does this include a logo and other cosmetic changes to the wallet, or is it still Litecoin-branded?

0.001 for 1k
The current rate in most forums is 1 BTC per 1K CAT.

Why not just keep them for yourself?
You pose an interesting and legitimate question. There are both altruistic and egoistic reasons to do a giveaway. The altruistic reason is that you want to share with others. You feel good about donating to a large amount of people, what it essentially amounts to pennies each, and see them appreciate the gift. The egoistic, or generally speaking, more strategic reasons are: - More people will install the wallet. If you are a developer or heavy supporter of the coin, this is a cheap way to get people to play with your coin.
- More people have coin X -> More interest in the coin.
- More people have coin X -> More people are willing to vote for the coin to go on an exchange.
In short, it's cheap publicity wrapped in an act of kindness. Everybody wins.

There almost needs too be a giveaway section so the same posts don't appear 10,000 times!!!
This is a very good idea. Mods can we make this happen?

If you are diversifying, do yourself a favor and buy Worldcoin. It's insanely cheap at the moment.

Let's make "Donations to Catcoin development: 9fXU8qiJni1DapSNiVirfvNRWsk41Qj5xo" I sent 50 catcoins for developments.
Nice try. Lol, look at OP and than tell me something) Haha. It was meant to be a joke, but I missed the .

We've created a GitHub organization for Catcoin-related development: https://github.com/catcoinsWe're going to be picking through the code to ensure quality first. More to come later. Good to hear.

Hey, this Christmas stuff plus my life left me almost no time to be online last night, so I will be reading the 90 pages of the thread today and update the OP with the pools etc. Thanks for the support so far, I can see almost 1gh/s on the network so seems like a good thing.
Here is an idea, don't launch a fucking coin if you can't be online that night. An apology and real explanation of the difficulties encountered would have been nice too. Ultimately I don't think you have the leadership required to take this project off the ground. I hope you add other developers and marketing people to your team, because there is a lot of interest and value in your coin, but you are doing your damn best to mess that opportunity up. There are serious issues that need to be fixed right away, including the litecoin branding in the wallet, a clear announcement thread with all the info corrected and updated, etc.

I've been running on the pool for the past few hours this morning. I have 248,000 unconfirmed and 0 confirmed. How long does it take? I know it's 500 confirmations. But, sheesh.
Holy hell, what kind of hashpower do you have. With 770 KH/s I got 700 MEOWs in several hours of mining.

EAC are hard to mine, unlike IFC or DOGE. This is actually a fair price.

This is really well done. Are you affiliated with the developer? Because I don't think he has what is needed to get this coin off the ground. Whoever is behind the logo and this site, might. Also, we need a proper Catcoin announcement in the forum, and not just the broken pre-announcement from today. An explanation and apology as well. There is so much interest in the coin, that even with the botched launch, it's still possible to make Catcoin a decent success story.

CAT coin because it was so professionally and timely launched.

why is there so much anticipation i dont get it? Because of doge? Its not like its worth millions...
There are two factors to consider: 1. Hype behind other memecoins like Dogecoin. 2. This is the scrypt version of Bitcoin. Coins will be fairly rare and hard to mine compared to most new coins.

I think its kind of crappy that the author was doing us a favor by setting up a pool first only to get undercut by someone else. Especially when the author isn't pre-mining. Then again I'm guessing his pool will start first so we will see.
Well, 4% is not a favor. It's gouging. Had he gone with 1-2% I would support his pool in principle. But 4% is almost unheard of. Also, a diversity of pools is useful when some will inevitably go down.

4% fee on kr105's pool (this is nuts). AlexUK 1%, Mikellev 0%.
