41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Low prices, are you excited about the situation? on: March 21, 2018, 07:56:51 PM
Prices couldn't be better. Alts are cheap ish, BTC is at a good price and seems stable there. Now is the time to fill bags and wait for the boom!!!
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why is the price of bitcoin so high on: March 21, 2018, 07:45:44 PM
I think you should be asking why BTC's price isn't higher. In comparison to last year December it's low?
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest now or wait? on: March 21, 2018, 07:38:42 PM
Definitely now the time to invest imo. Alts are cheap BTC is steady. Crypto in general is not widely known and more and more people are starting to hear about it. I strongly believe a trend will start soon and BTC will reach ATH again. Dont think it will reach $50k like some of the guys are predicting but its going to past last years ATH and quick.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What altcoin will make us rich? on: March 21, 2018, 07:29:19 PM
For a quick buck, invest in a new POS or new MN coin, quick in quick out. If you want something more long term definitely look at coins in the top 10 rankings. They are generally older coins with good support and will be around for time to come.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What are 3 MOST IMPORTANT things for you in ICO? (before you invest) on: March 21, 2018, 06:53:06 PM
In my opinion there should be a regulating authority that sees over ICO, hell any new coin in fact. There are way too many scams going around and imo it causing a bad name for crypto. Ive seen 2 coins (i invested in both, luckily didnt loose much) where the dev's have disappeared within 2-3 months.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Invest or bounty? on: March 21, 2018, 06:36:37 PM
I prefer investing over bounties purely because i don't have the time to do bounties. Also, if i don't have the funds to invest in your project i won't be wasting time on doing your "advertising" bounties so you can make money.

One of the greatest technologies in the last century. Still a lot that can be done with this and its a lot that can be achieved!

When will BITG be listed on Crytopia?
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How to make money from staking? on: February 17, 2018, 09:41:58 PM
Finding the right POS coin is easier said than done. They have been popping up left right and centre and most high ROI coins look great for the first month or so and then the price drops in seconds. High ROI coins are good to make a quick buck. Buy high volumes, stake it for a couple of weeks and get out before the big holders dump.

If you are looking for a good long term POS coin i would say go for something with a low ROI. This coin will grow steadily, it will have a decent value that will be constant and people wont have millions to dump at once. Yes, it will take longer to make your initial investment back but you will have a coin that will give you better returns at the end of the day.

Few examples of HIGH ROI coins that looked great but didn't make the cut:
XGOX Coin: Started last year, reached 500+ sats and dropped to 7 sats within 2 months. Still struggling to get over 50 sats. Why? They had super blocks of 5000%. People locked their wallets for the super blocks and staked millions at a time and dumped.

OP coin: Started out great in November 2017, got listed on CMC and about tripled in price in hours. Running High ROI of 1200% at the moment. That means if you bought 1 million coins you would double your coins in 1 month by compounding your stakes. That leads to over supply and then dumping. Lost 50% of its value the last few days.

DV7: Massive high ROI of 10 000% for 20 000 blocks, who ever came up with that wasn't thinking. That's literary doubling your initial investment in less than 4 days. What do you do, dump the daylights out of it. Currently trading at half pre sale price and pre sale was maybe a month ago if that long. Just looks like a scam coin to be honest.

And then we have Diverse: This looked like a promising coin with a rather high ROI of 3000% and super blocks of 7000%, but only for 100 blocks. Again you could double you initial investment within a month but there are still guys holding millions that could dump at any second. Currently struggling around 200 sats. I do however think this coin will do good for the next 2 - 3 months and then follow the others.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: What is best PoS coin to invest into right now? on: February 17, 2018, 09:12:28 PM
I don't see a bright future for high ROI POS coins. After the past few months POS coins popped up out of nowhere. People bought, double there initial investment and dumped. Its still happen. Low ROI coins is the way to go, they have steady constant growth with a good return on investment.

However, I see the same happening with Masternode coins popping up. Same applies, you need a low return coin that can steadily grow in price and give you high returns over time.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [PreICO] WaBi (蛙币) coin backed 🔥 by safe products in China on: February 17, 2018, 08:42:33 PM
This coin looks promising, very good usage, good volume on binance and then there is the masternode coming up, this coin could go places really soon.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: South Africa vs Bitcoin on: February 17, 2018, 08:11:32 PM
Is it true that South Africans is cashing in on bitcoin?
Do South Africans really makes more money as Bitcoin to ZAR prices as very good?
South Africa is the cryptocurrency capital of the whole of Africa and the people there are making a lot of money with cryptos and mostly because their utility tariffs are very low.

I'm sorry......you have to check your facts sir.....

1. SA has one of worlds most expensive telecoms prices....in the world....was 3rd or 2nd most expensive.
2. Electricity used to be cheap....notice that word "used" to be....electricity has gone up over 400% in the last 8-10 years? You can check facts here:http://www.poweroptimal.com/infographic-eskom-tariff-increases-vs-inflation-since-1988-projections-2017/
3. Road tax at tollgates and on petrol is way over normal. (Just look at the E-Toll farce.....)

Its not easy to make money here....average salary is around R3000 to R6000.......to rent a 2 bedroom house will cost you that.....never mind electricity, food, petrol(gas),school fees....need I go on? Please check your facts.

I don't know if you can call us the capital....Nigeria, Botswana also have loads of money......the people I know made have lots of money purely because they got into BTC early....like 2012 early.

Wish I also did  Undecided

[True what he is saying, and on top of that we actually pay a bit more for BTC if you use LUNO to purchase it. Depending on the area you live in a 2 bedroom house can actually cost way more than R6000 to rent.

I doubt that the fact that our president resigned has any impact on BTC here, the RAND will strengthen meaning our BTC is actually worth less as it trades in BTC/USD and BTC/RAND.

When it comes to being the BTC capital of Africa i might agree and if not it soon will be. We are still far behind and a lot of people don't know much about BTC or even that alt coins exist. Listened to a radio conversation where the guy said that there are only 1000 coins available here, which shows you even though they think they know they don't.]
