Is it worth it to mine this coin solo?
You can try! depends on your hash power, but difficulty is up again

Feel free to join out pool http://xnc.scryptlife.com

Seems to be a lot more interest in this coin lately - a lot more mining (network hashrate 80 MH/s at the moment) and the difficulty is creeping up from 0.09 a few days ago to 0.4 now.

Indeed, price went up on cryptsy Smiley

That is interesting regarding your gigabyte 7970's, My friends got the same cards with great results. What bios firmware is it your running? I'll double check what he has.

Running under windows or linux? (not that it matters). What config settings have you got for your miner?

wow. I think the pools in the original post need updating. Alot of dead links, and a pool that has massive orphan rates!

Please add my pool - http://xnc.scryptlife.com/

Hey guys,

I really can't believe that with all the trouble some of you are having with other pools, that you havent jumped ship?

This was the reason i setup this pool with huge server power to cater for this.

In the first 24 hours, we found 3 blocks. and it was highly profitable for the 3 miners that were on here.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Rejection on dogepool.net on: December 25, 2013, 11:55:49 PM
That rejection rate does seem very high.

What hardware are you using to mine, what kh/s do you get?

Where are you located? Being further away from the pool may not help

A loaded pool may not help either. But, in saying that, 10% is high also.

I'm getting 0.4% rejection rate on my pool (doge.scryptlife.com)
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / [ANN] Dogecoin doge.scryptlife.com 0% Fee, Vardiff on: December 25, 2013, 10:49:07 PM
Dogecoin pool up at http://doge.scryptlife.com/

Been privately testing for the last few days, and we've successfully mined a number of blocks.

0% fee, but donations are welcome (set to 1% by default, feel free to change to 0%)

Any questions, feel free to ask here

Merry Christmas Smiley

turns out 512mb of ram is not enough either Cheesy, you need 1gb ram

the memory speeds make a big difference for me. read the cgminer readme and he explains how he got his oc's setup.

my asus cards are voltage locked at 1.2v, they are supposed to be adjustable but I cant get them to go any lower.

got three unlocked asus 290's arriving tomorrow to play with, hopefully be getting better speeds/watts with them.

From what i understand, you cant change voltage in linux. I reduced mine with bios firmware mod.

But taking in what you said. I'm going to switch to my normal bios this evening, and try bringing memory clock up.

I've read the cgminer readme, and saw no refrences to OC cards. what version of cgminer did you see the readme in? 3.7.2? I've just found GPU-README ... looking now

how are you getting 750-760 on your 280x? What brand are they?

I can only get 700-710 on my 280x's

they are asus directCUII  non TOP versions. (earlier ones with a 2 space cooler not three)

I use the cgminer.conf file not a batch.

amongst other things the main criteria are -

intensity 13
powertune -20
clock 1130
memory 1780

been running for a couple of weeks now, no HW errors as long as I don't clock any higher.

Had them running 780kh/s for a few days but not so stable.

hope that helps buddy

Ive got the gigabyte OC 280x's with the 3 fans..
The best i could get was with 1028engine, powertune 0, and memory at 1500.. I havent actually tried adjusting the memory.

In saying that, i've since power modded them from 1.2 volts to 1.091 volts, and its reduced power consumption by approx 60-80watts per GPU.

Whats the voltage set on those asus cards? that might be the key to the speeds your getting (copy/paste of cgminer after pressing G?)

Thanks.
