kool as shit mann! Good job!
42  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Quad Mining Rig, improvable? on: June 09, 2011, 07:19:52 AM
The cards each come with old-skool 4pin to PCI-E connections, so dont worry. All you gotta do is use 2 adapters on the (4th) card, no big deal!
43  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: If Bitcoins crash or go away, what do you plan to do with your mining rig? on: June 09, 2011, 05:04:02 AM
Grow weed in it!! Duhh!
44  Bitcoin / Pools / Re: BTC Guild - 0% Fees, Long polling, SSL, JSON API, and more [~700 gH/sec] on: June 08, 2011, 09:12:03 PM
Yes I see the same 'last share' over 1 hour.  Its a spooky feeling but I seem to beleive that the 'actual' calculations etc. are running correctly behind the scenes so to speak, the web page view is the only broken thing hopefully

There is a large strip of bolded blue text at the top of every page on the website which specifically addresses the fact that 'Last Share' (and by extension, idle miner emails) are not properly working due to the split servers.  It won't be fixed until later this afternoon when I can get home and launch the EU server.

Ah Gotcha Eleuth, sorry im kinda of dislexicing out after tryna cram all this info down my brainstem for the last 4 days lol Wink
45  Bitcoin / Mining / Anyone install Win7 to a USB drive on their rig? on: June 08, 2011, 08:50:24 PM
If so, any quik details you can chime in with? Also, what size USB? 8gig or so?

Thxx!

Haha thats right u guys, have a good day!
48  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: how the hell do i set this shit up on: June 08, 2011, 10:11:53 AM
OK ive only been in this shit 3 days so im no expert . . but u make me feel like one! jk

So anyway, forget about the setting up a pool thing for starters IMO, just get some ati cards for starters if you can, even one, like a 5830 or something. lose those nvidias, its not the kind you want if you can avoid it.

Setting up a pool takes a hosted server, a dedicated linux geek at least one, and more shit thats doesnt happen in a athlon 1500.

Just start chunkin away mining man, unless you got bank then you could recruit a pool team and rent a hosted server.
49  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 09:11:37 AM
so in other words, 99x 3 = 297 pounds x $2k a pound = $594,000 x 6 grows a year = $3564000 a year = 3.5x more than allegedly Tycho is making at the moment, but he doesnt have to trim lol, and he doesnt have to steal electric
50  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 09:07:10 AM
Yeah theoretically you could grow 99 3pound (dry bud) plants every 2 months. You would need something in the order of 120 x 1,000 watt lights with ballasts and hood, a frikkin huge ass chiller, giant reservoirs, and some serious help at harvest time for trimming. But there are people rockin big grows, usually collectives that also own dispensaries. I know a guy rockin 36,000 watts, and I know a hydro shop guy round these parts that sold 160,000 watts of lighting and 220,000 watts of lighting to 2 dispensary grows.  In 2006, its estimated conservatively that California grew 8.6 MILLION pounds of weed. 2006 was like the probably January 2011 of BTC.

Yeah the rate does look small, I moved my 2 measley 5830s over to the Guild myself around an hour ago. Hopefully like you said its a web error.
52  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Co-op? on: June 08, 2011, 08:53:32 AM
im only teasing you Nixx, just stuck awake from geeking out tryna learn all this stuff here, and tryna entertain myself and you other night birds. Best of lcuk to you
53  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 08:52:01 AM
Marijuana is still a federally controlled substance regardless of state law. And federal pound me in the ass prisons are not fun places to go either Sad

Troo Pokes, *but* they don't prosecute on 99 plants or less. They are mostly hitting dispensaries for the last year plus.  Since you can grow 2 to 4 ound plants, you can harvest a pretty good pile off of a single digit number of plants. You just gotta sit on your indoor from like haloween til st. patricks day til the outdoor flood subsides.
54  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 08:48:02 AM
True man, *but* . . if you hoard the BTC and sit on them and they go realll high, it could beat ganja imo
55  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Co-op? on: June 08, 2011, 08:44:15 AM
lol . . so wait, I fedex thousands of dollars of hardware to a european church with a frikkin fiber-optic internet backbone going to it. You know, the church that lets non-believers set up nerd factories in the altar boys dressing room. Then I *also* tweak the shit out of it 24hours a day, and when theres a giant pile of BTC in a few months u swear to God you wont donate them to the church for me right>?
56  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 08:39:41 AM
well by weed I mean medical mari-hu-ha of course Wink
57  Bitcoin / Mining / What's a better use of Electric? on: June 08, 2011, 08:37:12 AM
They are both strikingly similar, even though they sound totally different. In essence you burning electric and generating heat to produce a commodity, you never have to leave the house, and one way or another down the line you are involved with some kind of shady\grey area at the very least.
58  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Co-op? on: June 08, 2011, 08:33:20 AM
Just out of curiousity, where the hell are you?
59  Bitcoin / Mining / Re: Mine with deepbit on: June 08, 2011, 08:32:20 AM
make a coven of threads i.e. 6 + 7 = 13 threads
