41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Problem with decryption on: May 20, 2018, 06:04:44 AM

Hello I have a problem.

I have two computers,  one of them is airgapped

I have  downloaded  and  runned Myetherwallet locally  on an airgapped computer.

In the  other computer  I made the on line  transaction

But  here comes the problem:

I  have on my pc  connected to internet  both  the  addresses  to  wich to send the coins from and  to

You  know that  when you run  MEW LOCALly  you  have to put  an on line form  and   an offline form  and then put the signed transaction in the on line  form

The  problem is  that a pontecial attacker  could have:

 1)  the address   which  I am  sending the  coins  FROM

2)  the address  which  I am  sending the coin TO

3)  the  signed  transaction.

With  all those  information, is  it  possible to recover the  Private key  whith some kind of tools?

In neighbor thread was posted. it may be interesting signal
https://etherscan.io/address/0x00ae8e844075aa19ef5b2e5bcdde6e99aebb1e17#tokentxns

The price is skyroketing.

This  project  has been under  the radar  for  so long time

The  reason is that  people  keep on buying  Litecoin  in 2018...   Distribuited computer  is  the future. Blockcchain serves  this role perfectly

Great news, now I understand the reason of such grow (+43% on current moment). Daily trade volume was also increased.
Eh, I hope I will be alive when they release final version of product  Smiley
On may 29 they should release econd version. I think price grow more. Realy tothemoon token.

Obviously the  actual  price  is  a bargain.

Imagine  how  much   could  save  Cloud  compunting companies,  using  a  network  of  connected  PCs  around the  world, to  provide  the  energy necessary  to perform calculs, calculation, time to market, genetic analisis

Iexec  is one of the  fewer  survivors  of  the  great  2018  catastrofer.

Blockchain is self  evolving  and it is becoming  more  and more sofisticated

I don't know what the team has been ding for sometime, i think the Golem, Elastic, Dadi and Hero projects are all direct competitors to RLC. The interesting thing about all these projects is that none has a working product yet. It is a tall dream to want to play in thesame space with the likes of Amazon and Microsoft. It is better for them all to come together and stop selling people nightmares

https://steemit.com/cryptocurrency/@apie/iexe-the-golem-slayer

their  are coming in this month with  the final product  V2

Don't compare this  with  DADI or ''Elatic'' or  Golem...

Golem is only  for  RENDERING  3d models

Iexec  is  the best  tech in this  field   they have members  with  experience about  could compunting

RLC (Iexec)  has partnered  with  Ubisoft.  Ubisoft is   one of the  giants in the game industry in France.

It's  like ''SONY''.   You can check their partnership:

With  only 80 millions of coin, this  price is ridiculous.  It has been under the radar  for  such a long time.

Also Golem  said  to  partner  with  Iexec for their rendering model.

do you see demo on Consensus 2018 ?

EEA’s Offchain Working Group Led by Intel and iExec

iExec, the leader in blockchain-based decentralized cloud computing has been making efforts to deploy several mechanisms to improve the security of the iExec decentralized cloud. Intel SGX technology fully meets the security requirements of the iExec decentralized platform. iExec is the first company in the cloud and blockchain industry to leverage Intel SGX technology.

This collaboration was initiated in the context of the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance (EEA), iExec and Intel both being members of the Alliance. The two companies have launched a new EEA working group focusing on off-chain capabilities. Privacy has been a long-running issue in the development of the blockchain ecosystem. iExec and Intel’s collaboration is one more step towards the full adoption of Ethereum blockchain for businesses.
Consensus 2018 — EEA Workshop

On May 16, 2018 Intel has presented the project at Consensus conference in New York during the Enterprise Ethereum Alliance workshop. This is one of the most important international meetings related to blockchain technology. iExec will perform a demonstration of an application running on the iExec decentralized cloud and integrating Intel SGX technology.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Myether wallet offline, I made a mistake, help me please on: May 15, 2018, 08:51:30 AM
Broadcast means it has been submitted to the network to be included in the next available mined block so just be patient

Once the transaction is confirmed you will see the tokens have been transferred

No, an attacked cannot gain access to your private keys that way

In future increase the amount of gas you use (gwei) for a faster transaction

You can find out how much gas is best to use here: https://ethgasstation.info

I have put  both  the addresses  in the on line form of  Myetherwallet  and  the signed  transaction

Can't  an attacker  get the private key?

47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Myether wallet offline, I made a mistake, help me please on: May 15, 2018, 04:59:10 AM
I  MADE A  MISTAKE

I have filled both addresses  (address  from  sending  coins,  and  address    to   send the coins to)  IN  THE ON LINE  myether wallet,  I HAVE  PUT  BOTH ADDRESSes  IN THE  ONLINE  FORM of MYETHERWALLET.COM

Then  I tried  to send  the transaction,  but the  nounce  wasn't  set properly, so  it said  to me ''Try  to  adjust the nounce''

So  I have put  ''100''  as  nounce

and  the transaction went trougt

it  said to me:   ''The  transaction  has been  broadcast  to  the network. That does not mean it  will  be mined  or sent..''  and so on

I am  worried....  I  just  checked  on Ether scan  and  my tokens did not move to the address...  they are  in my old address... so  why it said to me  ''the transaction has been  broadcasted''?

I am  also worried about   the  mistake of  putting BOTH ADDRESSES  (the one to which send coins to, and the one to send  the coins from)  IN THE ON LINE MYETHERWALLET  FORM  OF THE WEBSITE

WHo mined this  transaction?

Why it says  it has been  ''broadcasted''?

Can  an  attackker  with  1 address,  and second  address  +  the SIGNED  transaction recover my private key?

Can  I put  safetly   the  signed  transaction (made in MEW off-line in an airgapped computer)   into a compromised  computer?

there  is a  remote  way to  recover  the  Key  using  the  signed  transaction made off line in Myetherwallet?

You can safely broadcast a signed transaction as it does not include the private key. Just be sure that you only export the transaction. However this transaction should be written by hand because USB Flash drives and storage media after all can get infected. Or use a scanner.

There is no way of deriving a private key from public key or transaction hash known for now.

Since  its already been clarified and answered better to lock this thread.

Quite glad to see that you are really cautious into things even myself in first encounter i was bit skeptical into that file and figured it out on my own.

I  have  another  question, please

Thank you  very much,.  I have  suspected  it  was not  harmful

JUst  to be  safe, I have asked

Anyway is  it  possible that  hacker  could  corrupt gibt hub?

I always  check  the  sig  file   but  it's  the safest  way?

with gpg

52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: MEW OffLINE question on: May 13, 2018, 03:48:51 PM
OK, I'm not sure why you downloaded a file. You don't have to download anything to send use MEW offline. You simply need to go here to do it: https://www.myetherwallet.com/#offline-transaction

I think the one you just visited is also legit, and that is for running offline wallet (sure you want to do this)? your source looks ok, but no clue what's inside that html. Should be safe to view it, what's the content inside?

I want to  rund MEW locally, so you HAVE TO download  it  in order  to run it locally

I don't  understand that  ''phishing.html''  file...   because  into the pics in the example it  has been not shown

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / MEW OffLINE question on: May 13, 2018, 03:02:19 PM

Hello,  I  know this  place  is for  bitcoin core

But I have  a question

Is  it possible that  the Github  documents  have been manipulated?

I have downloaded  the  MEW OFFLINE  from github here : https://github.com/kvhnuke/etherwallet/releases/tag/v3.21.11

And  between  the files  I have   (index.html,  embed.html) I have found  a  file  called ''Phishing.html''

In the  ''how  to run MEW offline''  guide  there is no mention of  this  file

https://kb.myetherwallet.com/offline/running-myetherwallet-locally.html

There  are   ''index'',  ''embed.html'' In the images,  there is no  ''phising.html''  file

SO my concern is :  Is  it  possible that  the gibhub has been hacked  and  that file  has been put to stolen  private keys?

Can someone  explaine   what is  this  ''phishing.html  file?

I'm sure that IOTA will bring big profits to investors, the developers are doing a great job and the partnerships are amazing.

Just hold for 2-3 years.

Was  UCL website  hacked?  If it  was hacked and  the hackers  spred  false FUD  this is  a  bullish signal

Was it hacked or the UCL  really don't  want to  collaborate  with IOTA?

Hello, I was  asking  what is  the  point  of  making  private  smart contracts

Not  FUD, just  genuinly  willing  to know  why  private smart contracts  can be great and  which uses of case  may they have in the real life

Can you share  some uses of case ?

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: IOTA is the next big thing on: April 28, 2018, 05:05:59 PM
why  UCL    doesn't  want to  colloborate with  IOTA anymore?

generalizethis  what is  POC  for IOTA?

Proof Of Concept--it's basically a demo meant to show how a technology will work in the real world.

So for IOTA, https://data.iota.org/ would be a POC.

I don't  know  much about  POC.  Basically  how  does  it  work in a  sistem  where  there  is no  revenue  for  who is  running  a  Node?
