would keep most of it invested in cryptocurrencies. Probably BTC, Nxt and Ethereum.
Invite some friends for dinner and give some of it to my sisters.

Nxt AE is a way better solution, NEM token trading is running smoothly and there is liquidity.

For now it is likely that: 1. in the short term more people are using their existing bitcoins to buy stuff at dell or other shops, instead of buying BTC first and then use them to go to dell. 2. Companies sell their BTC for fiat 3. Most customers won't replenish their BTC.
=> Negative effect on price
However this is just one of several components that effects price. Other are net investment, and miners.
When bitcoin adoption goes up people will replenish their BTC and new people will start using it.

i agree, pronounced IPO limits should not be adjusted after the fact!

guys did you even read the link in the opener?
The scam had nothing to do with Nxt as a coin is was just a medium.
"Hey i have a great opportunity you can buy a high amount of xxx coin for bitcoin"
There was no hacking, or software glitches, no keyloggers or anything.
Hey just offered a price below market and people sent him money first.

Three questions on NXT: 1. Anyone using this faucet? Is it safe? http://freenxt.org/?menu=play2. I thought NXT wasn't mined. How does Hashrate.org's NXT Multipool work? 3. How many NXT do you need to start forging? I dont know what they are doing?? But I signed up there and I tried to play by login and nothing happens. Nxt mining pools are just like regular mining pools. They usually are multi currency pool and mine the most profitable altcoin, then convert the mined coins automatically into Nxt. Don't use your Nxt password for pools like this. Read their documentation.

Is Litecoin too big to fail?
No
1. The big to fail concept is relying on government intervention. 2. Neither Bitcoin nor Litecoin have any major impact on the world economy. 3. Even in the cryptocurrency space, Litecoin does not matter much. The sector is highly bitcoin centered.
The group that is important and is probably interested in Litecoin's stability are miners, but they want to sell coins at high price not buy them.

you own it all so you will keep trading it back and forth between yourselves - you might sucker a few more idiots but that is about it, then just like Ripple one of the major holders (there is probably 5 or 7 of you) will sell or move on, the price will collapse and the tide will go out on the NXT Po$ system.
Any shred of evidence for smart guys to independently verify? Maybe something from the blockchain that proves 90% is going through the same accounts? That would be indisputable. Or should I take you at your word? Wait. I forgot, you don't do evidence ok, carry on Haha, i feel like all those stupid threads are actually publicity for Nxt. There are a few % of those people who repeat their so called "facts" over and over without any proof. If only a few readers question his statements and do their own reading, check out the Forum http://nxtforum.org/ and read about Nxt then it is a good thing

built the most innovative Coin, with a running asset exchange, encrypted messages and so on in order to scam people.... hey my account here is 4 years old, fake obv

haha this thread. People who will do their own research will find out: 1) Nxt's IPO was open to investors. But the demand was low, because the Coin was not known => Low number of investors. 2) The whole concept of Nxt is that there is no mining and that all coins are distributed, this is not good or bad, its just a different way to to things. 3) After downloading the wallet, people will see what Nxt has to offer. Anyway, OP thanks. More people will check out Nxt and will find out that you have no clue

guys dont be naive. just because in the past pools that have controlled 51% or more didn't do anything, doesn't mean the people who control the pools will act in the interest of bitcoin in the future.
When there is opportunity to do something it will be done. Even better when you could earn a lot of money or destroy something big at the same time.
Bitcoin is a decentralized currency, and its not in its interest to have mining pools with a big market share. In the long run the the 51% vulnability has to be somehow removed.

I know its an older topic. Right now Litecoin is just highly correlated to bitcoin but offers nothing with regard to technical innovation and i dont see a bright future for it.
It seems like litecoin is still stable because its big, has high liquidity, lots of mining, listed on a ton of exchanges .. overall its well known and working. But it has no competitive advantage anymore. Companies will use bitcoin for transaction, no need to list another coin that is basically a substitute.
The main reason litecoin is valuable is: You can convert it into bitcoin!
What is your opinion about litecoin?

Sorry if this might be the wrong place. But can give me somebody the ID of any NXT asset?
I tried the following and always get a "Asset or account ID is invalid." from the client: Bithaus, DGEX Exchange, Dotsforbits, InstantDEX, Lith, ...
OP mentioned something about listing the Asset after 100 requests. We havent reached that number yet.

yep scam is way overused here. If the mining contract does have a negative expected value its not a good investment, thats all.
