2 月 19 日，用户名为 MovieChain By Xender 的 Twitter 账号发文称“ICO 项目‘MovieChain’白皮书出炉。” 并称，“MovieChain 是一个去中心化的电影分发系统。”而这与半年之前，闪传从传输工具转型数字资产分布式交易系统的理念高度重合。

在 Twitter 主页上，白鲸出海也找到了该项目的官网并对白皮书进行分析后发现，闪传团队将基于《Xender》App 去搭建一个电影分发的联盟链。该内容分发生态系统中，涵盖版权方、平台（Xender）、用户、支付系统等几个角色，其原理与之前的一些期望借助于区块链技术颠覆传统内容分发方式的平台大致相同。例如，通过加密技术实现版权保护、区块链技术解决信任问题、智能合约执行交易等等。那么，此处就说说 MovieChain 与其他一些区块链项目的不同吧。

MovieChain 的几个特点与风险

用区块链颠覆内容分发，Xender 并不是尝鲜者，自区块链技术诞生以来，不断有人尝试用这项技术去颠覆传统的中心化内容分发平台，从而去打破 Netflix、Spotify 等大型平台垄断内容领域的现状，如Decent、Flixxo、Steemit、LivePeer、YouNow 等（可参阅白鲸出海之前的文章《NewsDog 与 CNN Token 合作 ：区块链变革新闻内容分发》）。但与其他区块链项目的最大不同在于，闪传的这套内容分发系统搭建在《Xender》App 上，这也意味着还未推出，该项目就坐拥全球 6 亿多用户。根据白皮书中的数据，《Xender》的注册用户已经超过 6 亿，月活用户超过 1.1 亿。

此外，在白皮书中可以看到，印度作为一个新兴市场被单独提及，这也是《Xender》用户占比最大的市场。据媒体报道，《Xender》几乎已经成为印度智能手机的标配，与包括 LAVA 在内的多个手机品牌达成合作。根据白鲸研究院数据，《Xender》安卓版 81% 的用户来自印度。

根据白皮书数据，印度的传媒与娱乐行业 2016 年规模为 195.9 亿美元，至 2021 年时将达到 375.5 亿美元，复合年增长率为 13.9%，全球平均增长率仅为 4.2%。

2016 年 2 月，《Netflix》进入 iOS & Google Play 印度收入排行 Top 10 后，一直从未落榜，这也从一个角度验证了印度用户对优质内容的需求。而闪传团队则认为，印度的网络基础设施依然在建设中，使之成应用区块链技术的天然沃土。

第三个不同在于闪传已经与生态系统中的一些角色达成合作。根据白皮书信息，MovieChain 已经与阿里投资的印度支付平台 Paytm 达成合作，后者为用户提供充值和支付服务，而 MovieChain 将同时接受法币和代币（MovieCoin）作为支付工具。

此外，闪传计划向版权方购买一些内容的离线播放权，上传到 Xender Cloud 上， 以此向电影发行商和工作室证明，这是一种可行甚至有利可图的商业模式。具体，闪传将支付定金作为最低保障，然后在取得收入时与版权方分享。且据白皮书信息，闪传团队已经与印度最大的电影连锁品牌 PVR、印度电影制作与发行公司 Eros、以及印度音乐视频内容供应商 Hungama 达成战略合作。

其实，从整体项目来看，该项目也能说是闪传团队在用户达到一定规模之后，除广告之外的其它变现尝试。但想要建设一个健康的内容分发系统的愿望，很可能因为炒币热导致 MovieCoin 价格波动剧烈而破灭。
