41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help with Power suplies on: May 13, 2018, 03:07:02 PM
If your cards/risers pull too many amps, your cables can overheat and pose a potential fire hazard.

But they have not answered my question, What are the cables for?

Hi bro,

SATA, PERIF - > SATA and peripheral cables for HDD, or any disk drives, dvd drive etc

MB -> Motherboard

Remember that those SATA/Perif Cables wire could handle approximately 75watts

It will easily burnt up those wire when applied to GPU that has a power of more than the watts it could handle Wink

Ok, the gpu's Rx 580 consumes 140 watts

How much VGA can support?

43  Local / Minerķa de altcoins / Duda con las fuentes de poder on: May 12, 2018, 11:34:42 PM
Buenas!

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help with Power suplies on: May 12, 2018, 11:16:51 PM
Using those adapter cables is an extremely bad idea!

Don't do it.

Why? Is dangerous?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Help with Power suplies on: May 12, 2018, 10:58:16 PM
You can use adapter cable for the standard connectors

So ... are all compatible with the gpu's with their respective adapters?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Help with Power suplies on: May 12, 2018, 10:34:59 PM
Hello boys.

I came to ask about the function of the wires of a power source.

I know that the VGA cables are for the gpus.

But what are the SATA, PERIF and MB for?

Can I use them to feed the gpu's in some way with them?
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ETH network hashrate at unseen numbers. on: May 08, 2018, 04:07:05 PM
Mine your ETH while you can and quit complaining. There are many events now in motion that will make mining ETH all but impossible a year from now.

Public release of ASICs coming at the end of July, quite a few were sold at $800, all of these will come online basically all at once. This does not even include all the secret ASICs running currently.

Fools continue to buy and build GPU based rigs, not realizing they will never ROI, at least not with Ethereum, Zcash, or any of the other algos that Bitmain has developed an ASIC  for.

With the upcoming transition to POS, the mining reward for ETH will be reduced once again, this time going from 3 ETH per block down to .6 ETH per block. Eventually mining reward will go away completely.

Once this finally does phase out, the remaining coins and algos that can still be GPU mined without ASIC competition will be very few and all those GPUs will need to point somewhere. The days of easy gains and paying off your hardware investment in a few months are over and will not be returning anytime soon, if ever.

Just be glad you got to participate while you could, but from here on out only the big boys with multi-million dollar plus farms consisting of the latest hardware coupled with private mining software and cheap electric contracts of a few cents per KWh will be able to make a go of it. You may have another year to play around with ETH and a few other profitable coins, but I really do not foresee profitable home mining continuing much past that.

I do not agree, many large currencies are being centralized. But many others are revealing themselves against this tendency reviving the rebellious spirit of satoshi nakamoto

Many of these anti-asic centralist currencies like montero and bitcoin gold are fluctuating in their own way.

When the ethereum is unviable for the gpu's you will begin to mine these coins, making their prices excessively high

And if for some reason the developers of monero or bitcoin gold sell themselves to Antminer (which I doubt very much) then some new anti-asic currency will come out

Because that is the goal of satoshi nakamoto. That each person can create their own currency and that groups of people decide by their criteria whether to trust them or not
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: The antminer D3 Production in dash on: May 07, 2018, 10:55:53 PM
A friend doesn't sell another friend a miner that costs less than half the price the D3 is going for direct from Bitmain, and regularly sells for even less than that. You're getting ripped off buying a D3 at this price, and according to Nicehash's calculator, you're making roughly $100 per month without electrical costs, so if you're able to secure a D3 near Bitmain's price it isn't a bad buy. Just make sure you can accommodate for the power and noise that these things make, they're extremely loud.

Yes, the PSU (APW3++ for example) also costs money, but it's not worth ~$400 dollars if you take Bitmain's D3 price off $700.

Here is a listing for the D3 at $250 + escrow on the forums. Much better deal than what your "friend" offered.
Is a good price, i see this asic in amazon for 350 - 460 $
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / The antminer D3 Production in dash on: May 07, 2018, 10:45:39 PM
Hello miners!!

I'm here to ask about the productivity of this asic in one day

A friend sells me an included one with a power source included for 700 dollars

With zero bills of energy is rentable this asic? What you think?

51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / What has been the average price of the ethereum in 6 months? on: May 02, 2018, 09:10:42 PM

Hello, someone knows a page for example: See the average price of monero in 3 months.
Or the average price of Zcash in one year?

It's for comparation
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Am I in over my head? on: May 02, 2018, 01:58:10 AM
Well guys... sold my small business (restaurant), bought a shitload of GPUs.. and now I realize I may not know what the fuck I'm doing. I've got almost 70 cards running (mix of 1070s and 1060s, mostly 1070) mining rvn, getting like 1,500 a day or something like that. Overall at current prices, making like $430 a week before power. Which isn't shit. I realize I can go nicehash and make more probably but I'd be making maybe $600-$650 with nicehash or ethereum or zcash (probably a bit less with zcash at current prices).. My point is, is this the best way to go about it? Mining something speculative, or mining the most profitable coin at the time and exchanging to speculation? I need to liquidate at least some of my monthly earning to get by, but either way, it's a meager existence, and eventually, these cards will crap out despite my best efforts to keep them running at 65 Celsius, and I'll have nothing. Does anyone have any advice for me? Is it really true that 70 fucking Nvidia GPUs can only earn you round-a-bout 2k-2.4k a month after power?? Did I just screw myself??

I understand you, friend, I also took a risk. I sold my car for 3000 to build a rig of 6.

But the world is for those who risk
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Who know the voltage and hashrate of this 580? on: May 02, 2018, 12:49:36 AM
There are so many things wrong with this post.

To my knowledge, no standard consumer PSU runs at 1000V, and I assume you're talking about wattage for both the GPU and PSU. You also didn't specify what hashrates you're asking for. If you're mining ETH, the card should do about 25MH/S stock for ETH, and you should be able to fit six on a 1000W PSU assuming you tweak things a bit for Ethereum (I suggest BIOS modding for ETH if you go that route).
Ok, I fix it bro
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Who know the voltage and hashrate of this 580? on: May 02, 2018, 12:12:44 AM
Hello, Forum community.

I here to ask If someone knows the voltage and hashrate for ethereum for this GPU.

https://www.amazon.com/XFX-1386Mhz-Graphic-Cards-RX-580P8DFD6/dp/B06Y66K3XD/ref=sr_1_1_sspa?s=pc&ie=UTF8&qid=1525219845&sr=1-1-spons&keywords=rx+580&psc=1

If you have this gpu I can use a 1000w supply for 6 of this?

Thank's for reading my post  Smiley

When I assemble the rig send a photo to see what you think

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: My first rig - 1X Vega 64 - Some advices please on: May 01, 2018, 02:27:53 PM
Hello,
After few months and many post readed there i started my rig 4 days ago.

- Asrock H110 Pro BTC+
- Intel G4560
- 1x Crutial 8go
- Evga 1000
- 1x Sapphire Vega 64 Nitro+

I followed http://vega.miningguides.com so i installed AMD Blockchain drivers.

First, i was surprised to have immediatly around 1600 h/s on CryptoNightV7 with xmr-stack
Best result was with SRBMiner, around 1800 h/s.

But to reach the 2000 h/s it was more difficult. I used a modded reg, and tried many OverdriveNTool variants finded in forums. Some hours...

Finally it's with Cast-XMR-Vega that i have the best hasrate.
Today, i'm at 2020 h/s but stable. Is it good or can i really have better from my Vega 64?

https://imgur.com/a/Do0rTDd

So, if you have some advices or point of view it will be very usefull for me and very appreciated, to be sure my Vega is in safe, and if i can by the second GPU to continue this adventure Smiley

Thanks a lot!

Very good rig. You can get very far in this way
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: An blackout can kill a mining rig??? on: May 01, 2018, 01:00:56 AM
You need a good surge protector bud. It has to be strong enough to support your rig though, otherwise the surge protector itself will trip and cut your computer off.

Just make sure that you know how many watts your setup pushes and make sure that the one you get is well within it's range and you're golden.
OK, I get it, But you know a good surge protector model?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / An blackout can kill a mining rig??? on: May 01, 2018, 12:30:56 AM
I want make a clasic ether rig
With a evga power supply and rx 580 cards. But I remember.....

An blackout is not lethal for a rig?. I live in a tropical country with outage every 2 months

How could I protect my investment from the blackouts Huh
