Having the same problem with every version I try

Are you trying to solo-mine or pool mine?

Try both just to be sure it's not the wallet.

Opt 3-3-8 is working well for me, but I am a windows user so it could just be differences in compilation. Try a couple of different ones, let me know what works so I can update the dev and have him add it to the OP.

I actually think this is an awesome idea. Have you gotten musician buy-in at this point?

Trying to CPU mine but I keep getting "stack smashing detected...Cpuminer terminated". Anyone know why?

The miner you are using doesn't have non-sanitation factors in place. The checksum value of loading the input doesn't match the checksum value of the output. In short, look for another miner.

Which one are you using?

Still waiting on Pallas to give us an estimate on a price for his nVidia miner!

Pallas gave us a price, 1 btc. He also offered to add support for the RX series provided someone will give the poor guy a card to debug with.

Don't be concerned with the current price of BOAT, everyone. Just panic sellers trying to bail out. Buy them while they're cheap and stake them until all the riff-raff has moved on to something else.

Having issue with miner. No shares being submitted. Ideas?

I finally could set the miner im am sure that my user and my pass are correct, but no hash info is show in the pool...any ideas???

You have all hardware errors (HW). The shares are failing cpu test. What cards?

rig of rx 480 8bg x6, 7.183 mh/s

Pallas has graciously offered to update his miner to support the Polaris series (RX family) for a fee, but until then you're not going to get anything but hardware errors because his current build predates the release of the RX series and doesn't know what to make of them.

I could have cashed in on a couple of bounties, but our poor dev is being bled dry. He can't survive on rum alone.

Sorry update was only just pushed, try again? Can you pm me if that does't work (don't want to clutter thread, and can manual process if you need them asap)

I don't think anyone here is going to complain about the clutter, it's keeping the thread at the top of the list and we get a fishbowl of how you deal with your issues. Good stuff so far.

withdraw for boat still stuck 12 hours now don't use this site

I had PM'd you asking for information so I could manually process until we fix the issue. Coins have now been sent.

I see you have also withdrawn over 10000+ HOLLY so you knew that it was only BOAT we were having issues with..

In defense of the exchange here, they hadn't accounted for the .1 boat transaction fee when they initially set it up and had to manually credit me with the boat i tried to withdraw out of their own pocket. They did this very quickly.
I can't say for certain whether this is a fishy exchange or not because the admins did quickly resolve the trouble I had. I want to give them the benefit of the doubt because this may actually be a legitimate attempt at starting an exchange and I would hate for our bias against new things to destroy what *could* be something worthwhile.

If we can find someone to update a miner or two and give us a price for their work, I'd be happy to contribute to a bounty.

Hey guys!

I'm sure most of you have noticed there's no support for the RX series of graphics cards using sgminer. This is because the cards were released after the sgminer was released, and since we had NO idea what the architecture of the cards was going to be, or how the drivers worked with them, naturally they don't work. I'm doing some digging to find out how easy it would be to use an existing version of cgminer that does recognize the cards, and add support for hmq1725. I'll keep you updated.

Hi Chance567,

Withdrawals should be instant, but sorry we configured the fees incorrectly (as BOAT requires 0.1BOAT per transaction) hence it is pending.

Can you try cancelling you withdrawal and trying again? You can do this on your funds/withdrawal page next to status.

Let us know if you have any issues and we can manually process for you.

Where again? >.>

Normally I wouldn't have to ask that question... but...

Doubloons has been added to CryptXC
Take a splash and come trade with us!

Market - https://cryptxc.com/markets/boatbtc
Deposit - https://cryptxc.com/funds#/deposits/boat

CryptXC Announcement | Twitter | Support | API Docs

Hold all deposits. Sent a pittance of BOAT just to see what would happen.

Follow-up:
Deposit went smoothly, as expected.
Withdrawal requires administrator approval.
2FA works, e-mails are instantaneous when account-related actions take place.
Fees for withdrawals.
Fees for transactions.
Fun stuff.

The reason it's set to false, is because if true, the wallet fails to load & returns a 'error finding blkindex.dat' - even though there IS a block index.

Setting that value to true was the only way around it, and the solution has yet to be found.  Quite a mystery (clearing the roaming folder usually helps when other wallets run into this issue, but doesn't work in this case)

I get that. Let me see if I'm reading the code right.

void init_blockindex(leveldb::Options& options, bool fRemoveOld = true) {
    // First time init.
    filesystem::path directory = GetDataDir() / "txleveldb";

    if (fRemoveOld)
        filesystem::remove_all(directory); // remove directory

    filesystem::create_directory(directory);
    printf("Opening LevelDB in %s\n", directory.string().c_str());
    leveldb::Status status = leveldb::DB::Open(options, directory.string(), &txdb);
    if (!status.ok()) {
        throw runtime_error(strprintf("init_blockindex(): error opening database environment %s", status.ToString().c_str()));
    }
}

Pseudocode translation:

Find the block index.
You're going to look for the txleveldb directory to find it.
If I've specified that you need to get rid of the old directory, go ahead and do that.
Make a new directory.
If you run into trouble, panic and tell me about it.

I'm sure you've gone over this a thousand times, and I have no doubt you're more skilled at writing code than I am, but a fresh set of eyes never hurts. If I am reading the code wrong, please feel free to enlighten me. If nothing else, we'll bump the thread back up and keep it in the public eye.

everytime you restart windows wallet, you need to sync blocks again from beginning  Sad

I noticed this as well.  Something isn't right.  Best to run in a virtualbox for now.  I'm going to take a closer look at the code in the next few hours.

Been trying to figure out how to fix this as well.

The reason it keeps re-syncing is probably because:

Code:

void init_blockindex(leveldb::Options& options, bool fRemoveOld = [b]true[/b]) {
    // First time init.
    filesystem::path directory = GetDataDir() / "txleveldb";

    if (fRemoveOld)
        filesystem::remove_all(directory); // remove directory

if true is set to false, the wallet brings up an error stating "cannot find blkindex.dat"

Setting the value to true was the only option until the real issue can be found...  Huh

Still trying to figure this out, apologies for any inconvenience!

Just from the snippet you posted there, it looks like at the point it would be trying to pull the block index, it has been directed instead to clear out everything in the /txleveldb directory. When you set it to false, you're essentially telling it the block index simply doesn't exist, because it's coded to launch into clearing /txleveldb.

In other words, you've specified that the location of blockindex is to check and see if you need to remove the location of the block index.
If true, it has been found, and it will proceed to wipe out the directory as instructed and start the vicious cycle over.
If false, it no longer knows where to look for blockindex and gives up.

I understand this may not be the simplest explanation, but it's late and it made sense to me at the time.

Well, the only two seeds for the wallet have been offline for a few days. If anyone has any extra nodes to throw into a .conf file it would be extremely helpful.
