Nasce il primo DEX manager: oltre le privacy coin
Mi baso su un testo scritto in inglese da Crypto_rand e ne riporto riporto qui una parte per presentare una novità.
Come sappiamo il mercato offre diverse soluzioni per i settori più variegati: lending, charity, banking, privacy, etc.
Il segmento delle privacy coins è affollato da competitor più o meno promettenti, ma oggi il riferimento rimane sempre Monero, con applicazioni e utilizzo reale in darknet.
Tutte le coin implementano soluzioni e tecnologie diverse, ma ciò che le accomuna è la promessa di rendere le transazioni anonime e non tracciabili.
Tuttavia, ponendosi in una prospettiva diversa, la privacy potrebbe essere ottenuta in maniera differente: perché adottare una privacy coin, se posso effettuare una transazione completamente anonima e non tracciabile direttamente con bitcoin, litecoin, etc etc?
Un progetto affermato che si sta muovendo anche in questa direzione è Wanchain (WAN), la cui ricerca è iniziata a giugno 2016 e il go live ha avuto luogo a gennaio 2018. Le funzionalità privacy e cross-chain sono invece previste, secondo la roadmap, a dicembre 2019.
Un nuovo progetto, annunciato il 30 aprile 2018, sembra essere già pronto, e si tratta di NIX.
Il lancio della main-net è previsto per giugno 2018, mentre le transazioni privacy avranno inizio presumibilmente in Q4 tramite le coin listate sul DEX Blocknet.
La partnership di NIX con il team di Blocknet farà sì che le prime transazioni avranno luogo proprio sul Blocknet DEX.
NIX non si propone di realizzare un DEX, ma di far comunicare diversi DEX tra di loro, creando di fatto una nuova figura nelle criptovalute: il DEX manager.
Sebbene anche Wanchain progetti di realizzare le transazioni cross-chain, diversamente da NIX non hanno piani per integrare diversi DEX.
Gli atomic swaps del DEX manager NIX consentiranno lo scambio di dati e coin tra blockchains diverse senza compromettere la sicurezza delle stesse.
Immaginate quindi, ad esempio, una normale operazione di trading tra BTC e LTC, ma questa volta completamente anonima e non tracciabile.
Tecnologia Privacy
Per quanto riguarda le privacy features, Wanchain ha in progetto l’implementazione di ring signatures e stealth adresses, mentre l’insieme del pacchetto NIX, riassunto nel Ghost Protocol, coinvolge: ZK proof protocol, Zerocoin protocol, Bulletproofs, Stealth addresses, TOR proxy e la compatibilità i2p (location privacy).
Il Ghost Protocol comprende quindi un pacchetto di tecnologia finora mai applicato tutto in una volta e le transazioni vengono rese private per diversi aspetti: località, valore, rintracciabilità.
Il team si propone di rendere questa tecnologia alla portata di tutti, e una normale operazione di trading possiamo riassumerla semplicemente pensando ad una coin A che viene trasferita dal DEX al DEX Manager, dove vengono applicate tutte le architetture privacy facendo alla fine emergere la coin B (anonima e non tracciabile) di nuovo sul DEX.
Team
Una piccola nota è da spendere per il team, dove risaltano Matthew Tawil, un affermato developer, e l’italiano Andrea Cerulli, un noto esperto e ricercatore di crittografia.
Mining
Il mining sarà tramite il protocollo PoW (Proof of Work), utilizzando l’algoritmo per GPU mining Lyra2REv2, uno dei migliori e più sicuri del mercato.
Block Rewards
Le ricompense saranno distribuite come segue: 65% ai miners, 28% ai masternodes, 7% per il fondo sviluppo. 64 i NIX per blocco come rew iniziale, con un block time di 2 minuti, halving ogni 1.050.000 blocchi.
Masternodes
Ai nodi, che saranno chiamati Ghost Nodes, spetterà l’elaborazione degli elementi privacy per gli smart contracts nel network; 40.000 i NIX necessari per un singolo masternode, e saranno disponibili già al lancio della main-net.
Oltre ai block rewards (28%), da sottolineare è il compenso dello 0,25% che sarà riconosciuto a tutti i masternode sul totale delle transazioni con il tx privacy effettuate con il Ghost Protocol.
Financial Foundation & Supply
Wanchain ha lanciato a suo tempo una ICO, raccogliendo 121.500 ETH (valore medio dell’epoca 290 dollari), per un totale di 35 milioni di dollari. I token venduti sono stati circa 106 milioni.
Diversa la modalità di lancio scelta da NIX. Una parte del team, tra cui Matthew Tawil, è stata attiva dalla fine del 2017 nello sviluppo della privacy coin Zoin (un fork al blocco 0 della sorella maggiore Zcoin), ed è stato quindi stabilito, piuttosto che lanciare un’ICO, di ricompensare gli holder di Zoin con un airdrop.
Lo Swap Ratio sarà 2:1, ossia 2 NIX ricevuti per ogni Zoin posseduto alla data dello snapshot. Il circolante iniziale sarà di 38 milioni di NIX, con un massimo circolante pari a 175 milioni.
Gli Zoin non reclamati durante l’airdrop saranno utilizzati come fondo per lo sviluppo, a questi si aggiungeranno i già citati block rewards pari al 7%.
Il market cap di Wanchain è di circa 850 milioni di dollari, il massimo circolante è pari a 210 milioni di coin, di cui 106 milioni già circolanti.
Governance
Mentre Wanchain conta alcuni investitori istituzionali, che potrebbero determinare o meno alcuni sviluppi, NIX sarà pienamente controllata dal team, lasciando libera la possibilità di perseguire un progetto che non sarà comunque facile da realizzare.

Excellent news. The change directly in fiat can let many new investors enter zoin and can be loaded with a credit card and at lower costs. So many new people will be able to enter zoin before the airdrop in order to receive nix preserving their zoin in a desktop wallet. Just a little over two hours to the big announcement, load the suitcase and fasten the belts M. I'm readyyyy!!!  |

FYI we're also being told Nix's main competitor will be Wanchain a 650million market cap coin, if my calculations are correct we could be seeing Zoin shoot to $30+ on or beyond the 30/04/18  . There's also talk of Nix having service nodes which is a great way of earning passive income. If this is true, then Zoin coin team claims to have found a way to make all transactions on any blockchain private? Your Nix is a different coin? Where to buy Nix?
