41  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you have to sell bitcoin to an alt, so... on: November 19, 2019, 07:15:29 AM
Describing a shitcoin varies from person to person. An alt that made you good money doesn't mean that it's a promising one. So please be honest, and if you ever have to sell your btc, what would you buy with them?

My first vote to Monero, for privacy reasons. Fuk ZEC and its "optional privacy" which is NOT a privacy actually. DASH? Lol, no privacy. Another bitcoin clone methinks.
Second one is Ethereum, there is no serious competitor in smart contract area.

I cannot find third one. Maybe NANO.

Yeah, I'd tend to agree. Why sell Bitcoin to buy alts? If I had to I'd probably go with Ethereum and Ripple at this point. Still, I do get that diversifying your portfolio is important.

55  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where can I buy digital currency better when I only have $10,000 on: October 30, 2019, 06:25:16 PM
https://thesuncoin.io/Home/Announcement is this the website you're talking about? I think it's broken or undergoing maintanence at the moment. If you're looking to buy crypto, you should look into a P2P marketplace like Vertex.
56  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Is there any reason to day trade anything other than bitcoin? on: October 30, 2019, 06:24:10 PM
Yes, much of the fluctuations in the crypto sphere are linked to Bitcoin, but it's certainly not the only factor that influences the price of altcoins. Also, diversifying your portfolio is never a bad idea, and actually keeps you safer in many ways.
57  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How trade safely without any loss on: October 30, 2019, 06:23:21 PM
Absolutely, it's about minimizing losses rather than eradicating them altogether - I think that would be completely impossible. As long as a trader has the right strategy for them, and does as much research as possible, the risks will diminish. Marketplaces like Vertex are also a great way to ensure a safer and more reliable trade.
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Stop Worrying about the Bitcoin Price on: October 30, 2019, 06:21:13 PM
You're right - ultimately, HODLERs know the feeling of riding the rollercoaster that is the Bitcoin market. With that being said, we should see some pretty incredible recovery in the near future if we're heading into a bullish market like so many analysts suggest. Ultimately, worrying about the Bitcoin price doesn't serve anyone - unless you're in it to get rich quick (as you said), but that's not exactly a strategy to even pay attention to. I'm still buying Bitcoin, but only P2P and from marketplaces like Vertex.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: DID I MAKE A MISTAKE INVESTING IN BITCOIN? on: October 30, 2019, 06:20:06 PM
No, I definitely don't think it was a mistake investing in Bitcoin. If your strategy is good, you're going to be just fine. Yes the market has been bearish, but if the analysts are correct, we're heading for a bull run in the very new future. The bull run will probably be bolstered by the Halvening in May 2020, and if history is anything to go by (December 2017), BTC could very well reach new heights. Also, as long as you're investing carefully and through a reputable platform like Vertex, you'll be fine.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is this how we regulate Bitcoin? on: October 30, 2019, 08:18:18 AM
You're right. In terms of tech, we do already have the power to self-regulate. I'm just wondering how we would go about convincing miners and developers from different blockchains to band together to regulate the cryptoasset industry. Eliminating scam ICOs is certainly crucial to the long-term success of the crypto markets, so perhaps if it was presented in such a way we could put this plan into place. Overall, I think there's definitely some serious food for thought here, particularly when it comes to securing the crypto markets, as well as exchanges and marketplaces like Vertex.
You have a good and very necessary idea. We need to fight fraudsters in the cryptocurrency market with more powerful methods than now. Apparently, a few more years are needed for the development and strong regulation of the cryptocurrency market.

More government regulation is not the answer, but self-regulating might be. Overall, there is a problem here, but self-regulation is the answer. We definitely need to be having these discussions, although the implementation of such a system may only be in the future.
