Yeah, I'm hopeful for CasinoCoin's future. It's definitely the most promising of the various gambling coins.

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: QQC ADDED TO COINED UP on: January 02, 2014, 07:01:37 AM
COINEDUP is a good start.. However, the site unfortunately loads too slow...

Should wait for Cryptsy  Grin

You complain that Coinedup is too slow and you want CRYPTSY? LOL

Lol.. Not complaining.. Merely a remark  Grin
You should try CoinedUp out. It's better than Cryptsy IMO.

Well, you've likely already missed the boat with bitcoins. Try investing in altcoins; some of them can multiply 50x in value in the first week.
Missed the boat? That's trash talk kid.
Considering what the price of bitcoin is today compared to what it was a year ago, most of us here have missed the boat. Now, that doesn't mean bitcoins won't continue to go up in value, but the same $1,500 you're spending on 2 bitcoins today could have bought you 150 bitcoins a year ago.

Yeeeeeahhhh.  What about the folks talking about BTC going back up over $1,000 huh?  And lots of people talk about the BTC price reaching $10,000.  ....or a million per coin?  Sorry, I'm being very wishful and kidding sort of.   How would you know when a good Alternate coin is being released?
A lot of people talk about everything. That just talk though, which doesn't mean much.

BTC could go back down to $250 or it could continue increasing; nobody really knows for sure. You can buy in now and if the price goes to $3k/BTC, you will have quadrupled your money. That's a great return, but still nowhere near what the early adopters made. It is nearly impossible for bitcoin's value to multiply this year like it did last year, because it would require too large a shift in the financial marketplaces.

You can look at the technical aspects of a new coin or delve deep into the promotional strategies. Read the thread, do your due diligence on the creator, and try to see what's happening involving the coin. Are people creating games and services for it? Is there a community for it? Does it seem likely that it will get added to the big exchanges?

Read around and educate yourself. Then invest.

It's illegal in most countries to knowingly purchase stolen goods.

50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: alt currency legit or ponzi scheme? your thoughts on: January 02, 2014, 02:26:01 AM
There's always going to be risk when investing in volatile currencies/commodities. Don't invest what you cannot afford to lose and you should be okay.

VirtaPay is a complete joke. I wish it turned out as well as bitcoin did...I would be a rich man if so.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What do the other newbies think of dogecoin and kittehcoin? on: January 02, 2014, 12:28:43 AM
I registered so that I could post in the threads for those coins, what does everyone think of them?
Dogecoin is great. The coins that are copying it won't go anywhere.
Exactly. Dogecoin has a real community behind it while Kittehcoin and InsertOtherBullshitCoin has nothing. Dogecoin will likely have a future, but unless Kittehcoin or any of these other new coins build a community like Doge has, they don't stand a chance at lasting.
