41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] [HVC] Heavycoin - CPU-only, Ultra-secure, Decentralized Voting on: March 09, 2014, 12:16:07 AM
What do you guys use to mine this?

I don't mine it, I mined it a few hours and, probably, I shouldn't have mined it.

Win32 CPU miner client is ready to go.  It took me almost the whole day, but it's ready and waiting for pools to come online.

You can download it here: https://www.dropbox.com/s/p42179dab8igg7n/cpuminerheavy.zip

If someone can verify it, that would be great. I'll be working on a 64 bit version shortly. Please let me know if you have any questions of concerns.
This is a hobby for me, but I will try to provide support where I can.

Donations are greatly appreciated

Luckyly with or without the wallet miner it doesn't change anything for me (or maybe just some more W).
PC is slow with high xIntensity on GPU miner, not with a cpu miner on or off, and anyway I wasn't on it...

I just noticed the diff dropped when I came back (just like if at least half of the miners had already cut off, sorry guys I should have noted the net hashrate too)

I'll have a look tomorrow to see if some pools are up.

But, to be honest, odds are quite low.

Now that it is launched where are all the people who said it was a scam? Silence fills the room....

After all this launch was very funny, I appreciate it Smiley

The last bird missing finally made it.

uploading the wallet, one byte per letter, no CRC in the protocol.

Sadly one messenger didn't make it...

I think they are more likely using  that kind of device :

Just a reminder https://www.mintpal.com/voting

Quote
you can vote for RSC on mintpal 6 times per hour if you are a registered user, 3 times per hour for unreegistered users.
Below is a list of coins that we're considering adding, ordered by the most voted. Please vote for your chosen coin below, unregistered users are allowed up to 3 votes per hour, whilst registered users are allowed 6 votes per hour. If you're not a MintPal user already, consider registering an account.

We're also accepting payment votes! We've put a lot of time and capital in to making the exchange, and we believe it's only right to let users show their confidence in new coins by allowing them to use their wallets. Each 0.00005000 BTC received will count for 1 vote. All payment votes will be publicly visible, as you can see by clicking the addresses below, and will go directly to improving MintPal's infrastructure.

And no I'm not affiliated to Mintpal  Wink, I just use it from time to time.

after my last 256 votes we climbed a bit in the list.Grin

he refuse to pay my transaction Smiley another scam idea for me

transaction : 2cce5eee5fe82f632902125e33ee0cc69894229bd95502c3fdacfc62b425c172
from : 1AXAZWxQbmaFYAsEig2hJYEZMTebJoDa25
to : 1JgZQpY7zaBmcuiM3VSsHXBR6soeTdTepS

I am created REALstackcoin too and will invest more but i cant see any exchange yet

realstack wallet : SNajTG6wTSqD3aKyrqUXZR9KhNGZUAwEdJr

I am 38th invester at stage 2 at 19th feb for 0.18 BTC Sad

How about this...Send .0001 BTC from 1AXAZWxQbmaFYAsEig2hJYEZMTebJoDa25 to 1BGo3MFnDmQEZnKMyHmEsELDiMpMpxrW3U

I will personally add 250,000 RSC to your payout if you are the owner of 1AXAZWxQbmaFYAsEig2hJYEZMTebJoDa25

it is exchanger wallet sir.i payout from there to that fucking scammer

What are you talking about?

I'm the only one and real investor #38
Btw you gave wrong information about the transaction : i didn't invest 0.18 btc and it wasn't on 19.
I got my refund in RSC and  I'm just trying to promote RSC to make it reach an exchange platform.

Who are you trying to scam?
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][RSC] | RealStackCoin | PLZ VOTE.. @ 1503 votes| Reverse-scam | Scrypt on: March 06, 2014, 12:10:12 PM
Right now the hasrate is 274.
If every 1 mh/s would've sent 0.01 BTC to mintpal that would give us 54800 (2-3rd place).
0.02 BTC would give us 1st place.
I think we could try that but only if we don't get on mintpal after few more days.
It would be enought to mine for about one day (well this is not 100% sure it could be more could be less) to make back this 0.02 BTC sacrifice.

Ok great but we need to synchronize our efforts.

I get some haspower here, I could give 0.01 btc but for example yesterday i voted on cryptorush with my btc and on mintpal with just my clicks.

1st decide wich trade platform we aim.
2nd decide on which there will be a massive vote

Maybe I am a little tired, but I do not understand the concept of this one.... I lost 0.4 btc on stackcoin, what can I do??

Step1: Send message to eatrader and verify your signature for the 0.4 BTC transaction you sent to scammer

Step2: eatrader verifies the transaction and I will send you the requisite amount of RealStackcoins to you.

Step3: You join the community and enhance it with your talents, whether it be promotions , programming , memes or just chatting on the thread.  Spread the world that is realstacks.

Step4: Hold onto your Realstacks, and watch the price rise.

Step5: Profit Smiley

The more important is probably step 4

If in  day 1 everyone dumps millions of coins it's no use to go mining, promoting and voting right now.

Hey guys.

eatrader has volunteered to be our COO.. chief operating officer.... in addition to being our CFO (chief financial officer...) Smiley

Anyways.. outside of the fancy titles.. the point is , he will start organizing requests for bounties and roles.  And also make payouts to individuals that sign up to fill those roles.

Now, since we've not premined any of the coin for this.. all bounties paid out are going to be STRICTLY through donations from a Trust fund that eatrader is going to setup.  He will create a wallet address for donations to roll in.

As well , he is nice enough to initially stake the fund to the tune of 50M RSC... so we can hit the ground running with funds.  But please donate to the fund, so we can reimburse for the funds he's fronted.

eatrader will follow up with a post on the various roles available and the bounties... I'll repost it everywhere i can.

Let's get this going..

Sure guys you'll have funds from me.

We should buy votes using the unclaimed coins "each 0.00001 BTC in the balance is 1 vote" -cryptorush.
It is impossible to get enough votes if everyone votes couple times a day.

*I already bought 1000 votes!

Nice idea, I did the same.
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: March 02, 2014, 01:26:16 AM
why does anyone mine here. lol so much better alternatives now.
Out of curiosity, what are some better alts?
Clevermining and Wafflepool are the lead contenders these days.
Hashcows may regain it's past position as prime competitor but it still has a lot of lingering issues.
Scryptguild is one to watch since it's run by BTCGuild's admin Eleuthuria but it's still beta and auto conversion to BTC isn't there yet.

Scryptguild  is to watch, yes, because there's guild in the name Wink , but it's still in beta, I tried it a few days and never earn more than 0.008 (automatic BTC conversion is on, now, in theory)

Currently I switch between different pools cows-clever-guild-profit-solver-waffle. I also try no-switching pools to mine coins like max (that was ok even if I was a little late in this business) or zeit (not high profitability till now, I mine just a few more hours to get 1000000 and I'm off, I'll trade later).

I keep an eye on scryptguild because I suspect it'll be quite interesting in the future  but  I wanna try a couple of pools before.

I'd like to test a pool for a week with full hashrate : there's to much variance from day to day between autoswitch pool (just look at poolpicker graph)

if anyone has an average payout I'd like to know.

I can share my experience too when I'll have a full week or better.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: ScryptGuild (BTC Guild) Alpha looking for additional miners on: February 24, 2014, 06:44:01 PM
I'm in too.
It looks fine, very responsive, reject rate for example is quite low except maybe a little high for the Stale Shares
my ping is 123 ms : not bad considering the fact that I'm in Europe and the server in Québec.

Of course it's a beta  :we are probably just a few miners and with a total hashrate of only 300 MH/s right now I guess the server is far from being saturated.

I have just a couple of questions
1st is about the Stale Shares :
I have 20 000 Stale Shares for 1 500 000 accepted.  Need I send SS (it was recommended on middlecoin where they were taken into account for payout) or need I put in my config file "no-submit-stale" : true ?    (default value is false). On the server side most of my rejected are SS, so if I can avoid to submit them it'd be better.

2nd what are recommended value for expiry, queue and scan-time parameters?
Are default values ok ? Or need I to reduce them cause of coins switching?

All defaults are OK.  Stale percents are almost entirely due to local miners running intensity too high, there's nothing server side that can be done (other than what I know some pools do:  Lie about stales and give people credit for them for a few seconds, which ends up not actually increasing your earnings since everybody is getting stale shares included).

no-submit-stale is NOT recommended to be changed to true, since that will cause you to lose on shares if the coin switches.  Your old work is still valid when that happens (until the other coin gets a new block).

The majority of scrypt stales are caused by running at too high of intensity. In most cases, the tradeoff is worth it.  At low intensity, ScryptGuild has less than 0.5% stales for most users.  However, increasing your miner intensity can produce gains of 5-10% of speed at a cost of 2-3% higher stales.  It's a tradeoff that is worth it.

Thanks for the answer I'll try to lower intensity on my rigs with higher intensity first.
anyway total rejected, SS included is still quite acceptable compared to many multipool servers I've tested.
