41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: What is the worst exchange platform you have ever traded on? on: February 28, 2019, 08:46:28 AM
For me, this is Bittrex, which blocked my verified account for several weeks without explaining the reason. After that, I stopped using exchanges with registration, using services without registration. Now it is the CoinSwitch and ChangeNOW. This saves me many problems.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Sending in fake ID for KYC on: February 27, 2019, 10:13:15 AM
Faking KYC is not the best way to avoid this. I did KYC only with those whom I really trust, and only when it was worth it.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Listing an Exchange on Coinmarketcap on: February 27, 2019, 10:07:07 AM
IMHO they are looking on trading volumes and rare tokens that you trade. As I remember coin will add on CMC after 50000 USD day trading volume.

They removed the exchange volume requirement a while back.

https://in.finance.yahoo.com/amphtml/news/coinmarketcap-removes-volume-requirements-cryptocurrency-192959566.html

Coingecko is far better than cmc tbh, they have excellent customer support which I adore the most about them.
Coingecko does not have such authority as Coinmarketcap, so listing there is much easier. However, the Coinmarketcap should be more transparent regarding the listing conditions.
44  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Where are the best conditions for trade / transaction? on: February 27, 2019, 10:02:20 AM
Binance is the best place to buy alternative cryptocurrencies. However, I advise you not to keep a lot of money in your account there, since they can block you.
45  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: What do you need in A Cryptocurrency Exchange ?! on: February 27, 2019, 09:56:26 AM
I think what is needed for crypto exchanges is security. Because security is the main thing that is needed, it is useful to keep assets from being lost and avoid hacking. In addition, 24/7 support and privacy are also the most needed things. 24/7 support helps if there are problems in trade and privacy I'm sure many people choose to keep their privacy safer. Besides that, it depends on each person who uses it.
You always risky if you keeping funds in your account. You can simply be blocked by service, so you will fight with the exchange. Now I use exchangers without registration, for example, ChangeNOW, which looks good at the moment. Their support also inspires confidence, addressed them several tickets, they solved the issues quickly. But, of course, everyone should choose what is better for him.
46  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: Newbie in crypto trading on: February 27, 2019, 08:47:57 AM
Hello. I need I suggestion, because I just started trading.
I have a 20 ETC, and I want to trade it, can you suggest me for what to trade it. Maybe even to just hold it?
BTW I have 0.5 ETH. And 200 ELLA, and 100 PIRL(I know that ELLA and PIRL are nothing now, just hodling it.)

Also I want to invest 200$ in crypto right now so you can suggest me something for that too.

PS: I know that this is a Bitcoin forum but I really want to hear oppinion from someone who has experience in crypto world.
Since ETC was attacked 51%, I recommend getting rid of this coin by exchanging it for BTC. As for further trading, you should study the market yourself in order to understand its mechanism. As soon as you determine this, buy BTC and start trading.
47  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: How to keep your funds secured? on: February 27, 2019, 08:37:26 AM
Im quite new to crypto so i wanted to know what exchanges do you use and i'd be grateful for advises on security. I currently keep my crypto on localbitcoins but it recently got hacked to im concerned for my money. I want to move it somewhere safe but still be able to make trades without much fuss. Im still learning to trade but im pretty serious about it. Can you recommend me a good exchange that hasn't been hacked yet?
Keeping funds in your account is wrong. This applies to any platform, you must remember this. Bittrex is known to block accounts, Binance also does this, and you can also be hacked. Keep coins using a cold wallet is the safest option. As for exchangers, I use services without registration, it is fast and safe. At the moment it is ChangeNOW, perhaps you should check it out.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: BitTorrent on: February 27, 2019, 08:28:37 AM
BTT has potential, so this is part of my portfolio. I do not think that growth will be fast, so I just hold it for a better time.
49  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Trading, campaigns, gambling or mining? on: February 27, 2019, 08:23:59 AM
Mining does not make you a profit, it is too expensive now, at least for a beginner who does not have good capital. I am not a gambling person, so the only way for me to get profit is trading.
50  Economy / Exchanges / Re: what are the things to consider when looking for a good exchange? on: February 27, 2019, 08:20:18 AM
If you mean exchanges, then yes, there are new ones that offer favorable conditions. I stopped using registration services because they often block accounts. There are many accusations against Bittrex and even Binance, so exchangers without registration are more secure. You can check ChangeNOW, they offer a fixed rate with lots of coins. This is what I use now. You can also pay attention to the Coinswitch.
51  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Warning! CryptoCapital doesn’t pay on: February 27, 2019, 08:02:48 AM
I have repeatedly seen the charges against Cryptocapital, their site looks rather dubious, I have not found any detailed information there. I am sorry that this happened to you, I will warn users not to use this service.
52  Economy / Exchanges / Re: New Bitcoin Exchange Launches in Nigeria, Africa: Guava Exchange on: February 27, 2019, 07:37:17 AM
This should well affect the entire market as a whole, and I am glad that this country supports enthusiasts. Unfortunately, in my country, the cryptocurrency does not have a certain status, but I hope that this will be fixed.
53  Economy / Marketplace / Re: Where could I buy referrals for faucets? on: February 26, 2019, 08:15:35 AM
Using faucets now you get nothing. It was a profit a few years ago, but everything changed. You can not buy referrals, and why you need it? The faucets are closing, new ones are appearing and you cannot keep track of this.
54  Other / Meta / Re: Selling of merits and btctalk accounts on: February 26, 2019, 08:09:53 AM
I actually hated it when BCT added the merit system . I mean it will be very hard to rank up now compared to the system before wherein you just keep posting anything . Account selling is already there tho even before the merit system . After the merit system was intorduced , I feel like that BCT accounts are now higher in value . Merit selling is present also , but we have active members here on BCT who keeps track of those people who are involved in these kind of exchange/selling of merits.
The problem with the new system is that the majority of the Full Members and higher have received ranks without doing anything for it, however, they can be fraudsters or provide false information, hiding behind their rank. This is wrong! When introducing a new system, it was necessary to reset all accounts.
55  Economy / Service Discussion / Re: Reason Why Cryptopia Is SCAM on: February 26, 2019, 08:02:18 AM
I don't think Cryptopia would ruin their reputation by hacking themselves, the theory is very far fetched in my opinion. Crypto is still very new and after the bear market ended they would have had the chance of being a very big exchange especially for a large number of altcoins.

No exchange is safe from hackers, therefore don't store coins there. It's dangerous.
Keeping funds in your account, even Binance, is a mistake. Many have problems with this. I use services without registration, it is much easier and safer.
56  Economy / Exchanges / Re: [ANN] Bittrex - Next generation exchange (btc/ltc/eac/ppc/rdd/ftc/and more) on: February 26, 2019, 07:54:23 AM
In the light of rumors some main exchanges data leak I am curious about bittrex clients personal data safety..
As we know bittrex forced its customers to KYC even if they have low amount of crypto - but are bittrex exchange really able to protect our data?
Why not use services without registration? This will help protect your data and funds since you do not store them in your account, and in addition, you do not need to go through KYC. You can use Changenow or Coinswitch for example.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Which Service Would You Prefer? on: February 26, 2019, 07:49:27 AM
I personally think exchanges is safer even though you might have to provide your KYC.  Somehow I dont trust exchangers much and the price difference isnt too massive for me to actually use one. I'll stick to exchange or P2P transactions.
Why do you think that it's safer? They can block your account, f.e.
If they block you for no reason then you can ruin their reputation and can turn their million dollar business into nothing so if you are choosing a best exchange with much trading volume then you are not going to get blocked.
Do you know how many negative reviews about Bittrex? They block accounts without giving reasons, but many still use them and consider them an excellent exchange. In most cases, the problem of one person simply dissolves, so he can not cause great damage to reputation.
58  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Exodus exchange problem! i lost $20 for $30 on: February 26, 2019, 07:33:13 AM
Have you solved this issue? Exodus is a great wallet, I use it and I would like to know how the solution is going. At the same time, I do not think that you were deceived, this is just a technical error, and it will be corrected anyway.
59  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Your thoughts about KYC on: February 26, 2019, 07:25:30 AM
Many avoid KYC because they do not want to disclose personal information. But attackers get all the necessary information that we leave living in a centralized world. I know that bank employees can sell your data to fake a loan, etc. So when I hear people avoid KYC fearing for their data, I smile.

Not only bank employees that steals individual data for fake bank loans; have you ever been to the dark web? That is their number one scam method.
Though, t's okay to avoid KYC  cause of security purposes yet some of all this genuine exchanges are demanding for KYC for their own safety and countries policy too.
I have no problem with KYC. Make small exchanges on services without registration, but you need to take that each exchanger has its own KYC threshold.
60  Economy / Web Wallets / Re: Changelly & Magnum Wallet partnership on: February 26, 2019, 07:16:04 AM
IIRC Changelly implement KYC for their users right? But after I check your wallet, it seems there's no KYC/AML implementation.

unlike shapeshift, changelly hasn't mandated KYC yet. their current policy is laid out here:

Quote
Changelly service has a risk scoring system that is able to spot suspicious activity. If a transaction is flagged by the system, it is put on hold and the User is asked to pass AML & KYC verification. For the reasons of security, we are not able to disclose specific criteria of our system, however, it has proven to be very effective against money launderers, scammers etc.

they claim that 99.5% of all transactions are still processed anonymously. be careful though. whether you use changelly directly or through a third party wallet like magnum wallet, there's a chance you could have funds frozen by changelly and will need to complete KYC. there have been some pretty bad horror stories lasting months (if they were ever resolved at all).

In case Changelly frozes a transaction, the user has two ways: 1/ to pass KYC verification (an address will be included in the whitelist) 2/ to stop the exchange, Changelly will bring back all funds

read more on https://changelly.com/aml-kyc
This is true, but you can avoid KYC, of course, if your address is not blacklisted. You can make several small exchanges, Changelly has something up to 1 BTC without KYC. Alternatively, you can use ChangeNOW, they process exchanges without KYC up to 10 BTC.
