41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][FCN] FantomCoin. CN-based currency with merged mining. LAUNCHED NOW! on: June 01, 2014, 10:11:28 AM
Is there anyone who have configured LAN mining for FCN?

Yep these instructions were good: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=598823.msg7051172#msg7051172

With FCN/MRO merged mining I was getting a too many files opened error in the MRO daemon (latest build) after a while (since I had 5 nodes connected to 1 daemon) so I instead am merge mining FCN/QCN instead, which has less errors in the QCN daemon (not sure why it seems to work better).
Just replace the MRO port 18081 with 23081 for QCN daemon port.

This is what is coming for the exchange.  This screenshot is from me mocking up the chart layout.  Those are wired up now.  I cleaned it up a little and desaturated some of the colors more.  For staring at the screen trading all night Wink  I took some inspiration from bitcoinwisdom for the trading interface.

Particle of course will feature prominently on the exchange.  The system architecture is really cool.  The backend is a decentralized/distributed architecture running on very similar core technology as MaidSafe.  This is not one of those one page PHP exchange scripts with hot wallets on the web server Tongue  This is a multi-tier message oriented architecture designed for scalability and to handle high volume.  The trade engine is built on similar architecture as the LMAX principle - high performance single threaded trade processor, avoids race conditions and locking issues.

This has features that will appeal to pro traders.  Stop loss / Take Profit, range orders (e.g. I want to buy 1,000,000 particles on the PRT/BTC market from .00000200 to .00000300 spread at 5 satoshi intervals), price alerts, etc.

I will have this code complete today, then time for more testing and tweaking and build the live infrastructure.

Thought I would post a screenshot so you can see that this stuff is real and not just fluff.  Its real.  Its coming very soon.  This is the first time anyone in the public is seeing this.  I have partnered up with a big name in the business.

You'll see how this ties in to Particle when I release the monthly investors guide.

This looks great .. I am signing up day one ! Smiley
This looks really cool can't wait!  Cheesy

hey guys,

Saif Altimimi here - I don't mind helping resolve these issues you are experiencing but please understand I am not the current owner of Coins-E. My only affiliation was interest in the business and helping out with some high level business development. I am obviously concerned with the integrity of the business but I want to make sure that their is no malicious intent going on. I can assure you with certainty that your coins are not lost/stolen or being used in any shady activity. The issues Coins-E is having is that of man power. The current owner is Vignesh who also runs Bitaccess.co and is in school full-time - as you can all imagine running a digital currency exchange requires a team committed to it's users. Part of the arrangement with Vignesh was for me to come on board and help evolve Coins-E into a transparent and reliable exchange. With that being said, at this point in time I have very limited control of company. I am in direct talks with Vignesh and have sent him several messages with regards to fixing these issues. If you are still not able to resolve them within 24 hours send me a direct message here and I will make sure that each and every one of you receives what is right and fair.

cheers!

Saif thanks for helping resolving my issue.  I just got my bitcoin withdrawal today.

Have some additional intel for you folks, from twitter this time.  Quoting verbatim:

digit ‏@_digit_ Mar 3

@SaifAltimimi seems 2 b owner/operator of #coinse - http://imgur.com/ksb2gxL  http://www.meetup.com/BitcoinKW/  #bitcoinkw #Kitchener #Waterloo @calyxxx

This might indeed be the current owner/operator of coins-e exchange.

Anyone know who owns/runs the site?  I am getting worried has been 6 days for my BTC withdrawal, stuck in initiated...
Did some digging, as per reddit coins-e domain originally registered by Vignesh Sundaresan. http://pastebin.com/WZshPuup
Vignesh is affiliated with Inspirin.in which is mentioned on the coins-e site.  Does anyone know for sure if Vignesh is the owner/operator now/still?
This customer support is terrible.  They do resolve issues but never update the status of tickets  Huh

Bitcoin has been removed from the Deposits/Withdrawals list it is one of the coins down for maintenance on coins-e so I assume they are working it.

I don't think coins-e is a scam site, just need to update their status or be more responsive to the customer support issues, otherwise we will pull our hair out.

My latest two Bitcoin withdrawals are also stuck in the Initiated status, not becoming confirmed.  No TxId (token field) is generated.
I have filed two support tickets with coins-e so far no response on the status or progress (also 24 hours later on the first ticket).
I get the impression the support desk is under-staffed none of the previous tickets I have filed in the past have ever had a status/progress update although the issues did clear up eventually...
