DECENTRALIZED:cryptocurrency is decentralized,so no one government entity can quietly mint money for their own purpose and have access to your transaction,account etc.
SECURITY:so nobody can forge or steal your money.
PRIVACY:your transaction can't be seen or reported to other entitles so these are the major reasons why i like cryptocurrency.

To me both of them are good but i choose bitcoin because bitcoin is valuable and every coin value rely on bitcoin we can see that if bitcoin falls every other coin will definitely fall that is to say that bitcoin is spearheading the rest coin or it is anchoring other coin and it is the safest coin to invest on.

There are two reasons i know that bitcoin is not a legitimate currency, first of all not all the countries has accepted it. Secondly it is not yet regulated by the government, the government are suppose to implement it before it becomes legitimate but it has not been implemented  but someone just develop it, those are the reasons why bitcoin is not a legitimate currency.
