Let's talk monday then.  I am in a holding pattern until then probably because BTmine doesnt answer on weekends.  You local to NY?

If you haven't returned it or sold it before to long.  I may be interested, just got to get my 5 here and running first.  They should be delivered Monday.

Mtnminer

paypal dispute opened.  this thing is going back.  i thought only one capacitor fell off when it was two......not to mention a third that is missing all together.

i was thinking of selling on ebay instead of returning but I wouldn't even want to sell this to someone that doesn't know how to fix it or how to maintain it when other issues arise.

if anyone here wants to buy it for what i paid, didn't buy PSU but I have two of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817153174.  We could discuss shipping terms but I think splitting shipping would be fair.  I would take either paypal or BTC.

PM me if interested.  I'm in New York.

Can I run this with the missing capacitor?
44  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [GROUP BUY WORLDWIDE]BTMine v1 Miner 200GH/s BTC 2.4 on: January 25, 2014, 03:23:18 AM

From what I can tell, either should work.  There is actually enough room to solder each leg from the top (the plastic guard underneath might get an edge melted, but that's no big deal).  I soldered the one that fell of my board back on no problem (slight edge melting of plastic underneath).

i think my legs were too short to begin with so i failed miserable.  also thanks for the temp sensor.  we should create a google doc that we can all add tips/tricks and links to stuff we need for this thing

Can someone check the main board. I have this three wire thing plugged into P3. And it's like 30 inches long and capped at the end. What the hell is it?

Pics? Could it be the temperature sensor?

EDIT: Oh wait, I just looked at my main/fpga board. P3 is the LED.

EDIT2: Nope, sorry, P3 is actually the temperature sensor on my board. Forgive my temporary stupidity. P1 is the LED.

Funny story - if I heat up my temperature sensor the fans actually slow down.

where is the temp sensor supposed to be mounted?

so after replacing almost two dozen screws with longer ones its starting to come together.

only issue now is the capacitor? marked A 997 330 16v popped off near the ribbon cable and the legs broke off.

Where can i get a replacement?  i tried searching mouser.com but i dont know what i am looking at.

is this it?

http://www.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Panasonic/EEE-TP1C331AP/?qs=sGAEpiMZZMsw5ceDr7HJSHIh9B2nCFEN

or this

how do i solder it on?  do i heat from underneath?

ok here is my unboxing.  but first, can someone tell me the best way to replace that capacitor?  I haven't soldered board components before so I will need to go buy a tool or two.  If you could explain it and tell me what to get to do it that would really help.  Also the ribbon cable has to be ATA33?  Is there anything else that would work?  I'm trying to remove the connectors off an old IDE cable and cut down the BTmine crap cable past the compromised area.  Will this work?

Was definitely opened by customs somewhere along the line. I swear NOTHING held in place.  Every screw was stripped or broke off in the blade.  I think i found 11 screws/pieces of screws.  They screwed the blades into the case basically right THROUGH the heatsink.  BTmine you really are a dick.

So basically I need to get that capacitor back on, figure out how to mount this correctly in the case, replace a cable because due to BTmine being a scumbag some cables ripped because it was a free for all in that box.  Not to mention electrical tape a lot of other smaller gashes in the power cables.  THIS IS ALL BEFORE I SEE IF IT  WORKS.

If i could do it all over again, refund first week and bought antminer.  I'm curious to see if this guy changes his name because i dont think there is one person in this thread that would buy from him again.

What do you mean by paper wallet?

Is there an online tutorial that shows best way? Do I buy thumb drives to backup each wallet? Can I have multiple copies?

Finally got tracking number.  The 22nd their time. 12 days after order date. 4 days after promised ship date.  Only positive is he accepts PayPal.
I'm in the same case... but it was hard to have it, had to fill a dispute in paypal.

By the was what is the status in dhl tracking website?

Mine is : "shipping info received"
I'm afraid that I have to wait some days more for pickup...

yea me too.  these guys are full of crap i think with their logistic story.  its been 22 hours their time that the package tracking info was received.  Seems like a long time to not have any movement.

i cant wait for this to be over and find a new seller.  this has been BRUTAL.

does anyone have tracking for their package that they can paste here that includes "shipping info received" so we can see how long it takes to get movement.

Size:  135 mm x 155 mm x 300 mm  If you can find a case large enough I don't see why not.

What I meant was are they able to be mounted in a case? Or are they meant to be open like that?

I'd rather have them protected. Plus maybe u can find a case to fit two or more. But if there is no mounting ability it's pointless

Can I put those antminers in a case?
