42  Other / Meta / Re: Default Ranking-Up System as a Compliment to the current Merit System on: July 26, 2018, 11:16:36 AM
Current system of merit is good ,this system is successful in  curbing  the spam poster ,but there may be some chance of improvement (my opinion)

1.For member to senior member and above: quantity of post is good ,but merit requirement is very high (seeing the current merit transaction )
2.very high quality demand for merit giving,
3. Most of senior member ignore all the newbie,jr.member (due to most of them are very bad poster and doing only bounty)
43  Other / Meta / Re: Theymos, why are you hoarding your sMerit? on: July 26, 2018, 11:02:37 AM
This is not a problem with the merit system, this is a problem with the quality of the content and the sockpuppets. For reference: I have around 300 sMerit right now and nobody to give them to, nor do I plan to look through garbage to find someone. I'm still waiting for a destroy merit option.

Most of the merits are with the hero member or above and most of the merit source are also hero member or above. They are here from the beginning of the forum and they are very much efficient and knowledgeable in the cryptoconcurrency/cryptotechnology. They are very mature in their writing the post,So their requirement for the merit giving  is very high. They want post like their quality. So it very tough for the newbie and jr.memebr to earn merit. WE cant match the post quality with senior members (hero member or above) .

Criteria for giving merit is different for newbie ,jr.member ,member,sr.member, hero member and legendary member. There should be less expectation from the newbie,jr.member at the time of merit giving.

Another reason is that, most of the newbie and jr.member, member are doing only bounty campaign, due to them most of the senior member(hero member or above ) do not want see the post of newbie and jr.member,member.They ignore all the newbie,jr.member and member due to them.

48  Other / Meta / Re: How can I overcome the merit barrier? on: July 22, 2018, 08:51:45 AM
The introduction of the merit system has been applauded by many. Others too have spoken against it. I have been on the side of the merit system.

But looking at my activity points and where my rank still is, makes me understand why so many are against the merit system. I, though, still support the merit system.

There are those whom it seems know the key to earning merits. So I am asking, can such members share their knowledge here?
I think, there's no other way of getting merits, but we should make a one constructive post, and be appreciated by the others. We need to obey and support the rules of this forum.

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4702284.0 merit giving away thread, who has 0 merits and jr.member, so you can try here to get some merit.

51  Other / Meta / is it ohk to award merit like this... on: July 21, 2018, 05:29:50 AM
He(r1s2g3) created giving away merit thread in off-topic. Is it breaking any rules or is it the right way to award merit Huh

https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=4702284.0 (If it is right then jr.members can join it )

In the first post, he asked some basic question and He selected the 5 participants for merit in the second post. How can he select those members Huh  they may be fixed prior ... these are my doubts ...
In this way, he can trade the merit behind the competition.

Maybe this is the new way to trade merit in future???

If it is right, then there are some rules for creating such type of thread or there are some limitation in creating this type of thread.

waiting for a reply from sr.members and moderators ...

56  Other / Meta / Re: Account security features for the future. on: July 21, 2018, 04:32:25 AM
In my opinion, Security of the member's account should have the main priority. At least one of the above solution should be implemented as soon as possible on a priority basis.
57  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: bitcoin price of sale and buy on: July 17, 2018, 04:51:57 PM
you want to sell your BITCOIN now, Then you have to sell it on current price.

worthless thread, I think you get your answer, now you should close this thread and This is not the right place to start this type thread, you should start this  thread in the Marketplace section https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=5.0
58  Other / Meta / Re: Are these posts deserve so much merits ??? on: July 17, 2018, 04:42:38 PM
A lot of discussions has been come up and some members also gave the valuable suggestions for preventing this. So this is my humble request to admin to do at least some action for these type of case or make some rules.guidelines for these cases.

In my opinion, this suggestion is the best solution till now...

demeriting is a bit of a rocky road, and could cause even more abuse. A simple alternative is to remove any merit associated with a post deleted by a mod or the original poster.
59  Other / Meta / Re: Are these posts deserve so much merits ??? on: July 16, 2018, 05:50:31 PM
Don't forget to include links. [image direct link]

Jayjay04 also sent 50 merits to pacman7331 for this post, which he used to send 27 merits to willdono - along with Jayjay04's other 50 merits - for this post.

Looks pretty suspicious to me.

yes I agree with your observation, they merited to those posts, which are not worth for so much merit.
60  Other / Meta / Are these posts deserve so much merits ??? on: July 16, 2018, 05:38:30 PM
1.

2.

3.

Here most of the members are writing with their best ability and get 1 or 2 merits for their post. Some members get 50 merits for one post from one person only, it is beyond my thinking...

There should be some limit for members to give merit to another member for one post
or
Second, the post which has been received the merits more than 20 or any big no., that post should be checked by the admin members for their quality.
