41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If BTC corrects 30 or 40 % then ALTs also corrects ? on: January 06, 2021, 05:02:32 PM
I think many of you weren't around in 2017 so I will tell you what happened there.

Bitcoin had two consecutive 30% drops, one for a week in early January and the other for 3 weeks in early March. These two drops were the start of the altcoin bullrun.

In the first drop you could see some coins already having good upsides but in the second BTC 30% drop hundreds if not thousands of altcoins started to make 2x,3x,4x...10x price increases.

We are in 2021 and we had the first drop of bitcoin from 34k maybe or not was this 20% drop we had a few days ago was the end of it and what happened? ETH skyrocket!!!

Wait for the next drop in March. Altcoin season will start. Be ready!!!
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH’s “top” this market cycle? on: January 06, 2021, 04:45:54 PM
5000 ATH minimum

At least 3000 by the end of 2021
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How many coins/tokens do you think will survive in 2021? on: January 02, 2021, 07:18:33 PM
You guys underestimate the power of a bull market. Every altcoin (shitcoin or not) will pump.

I recommend to look at this graph of the Bitcoin dominance. The marked period was during a major drop in BTC price of more than 30% in the start of 2017. Right there the Bitcoin dominance started to drop like a rock and altcoins had their golden era.

Notice how the Bitcoin dominance right now is reaching the same level as late 2016/early 2017, and another drop of 30+% will happen to the price of Bitcoin and Altcoin dominance will skyrocket again.

Just wait and see for altcoin boom 2.0

Everything will pop

Any solution to rejects on the RTX 3000 series? Same config I used 2 weeks ago now gives rejects randomly. Sometimes it does and sometimes it doesn't. I even lowered the OC quite a bunch but it still gives rejects randomly.

Nobody answer yet, and I suffered the same problem, and it's simple, reduce OC

I saw some people saying they can achieve +1500mhz on memory clock, but I don't think this overclock is sustainable for most cases, it will give a lot of rejects shares

I have a 3070 and when overclock to +1200 I get a lot of bad shares, but if I use 1149 it's the limit, I achieve 60Mhs with only 1% of bad shares

You can start at stock clocks and increase 50mhz each time until you see rejects

In my opinion miners are not well optmized yet to RTX 3XXX series, and within 1 or 2 updates of Phoenix we will probably can achieve more hashrate with more overclock, but for now just reduce OC

The rejects are random. They happen to me with +1200 or +1500 on the Mclock. This last night I haven't had a single reject using +1500, 64.8 mh/s on the 3070

But sometimes they happen out of nowhere, 1%+ reject percentage.

I agree with you the miners are not being able to handle the 30 series right now.

46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: My first time to invest in crypto BTC, now looking for another coin DigiByte on: January 01, 2021, 02:21:47 AM
Historically DGB has pumped after several rumor news like Microsoft Azure adoption, Minecraft adoption, CSGO Adoption. All these rumors were fake and its creator Jared abandoned the coin because he wanted to make the coin more centralized. It's hard to tell its future but you can expect a pump in the next bull market. I don't think it's a reliable long term investiment though. Get in and get out when it pumps.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: 2020... Altseason? on: December 28, 2020, 03:31:44 AM
Don't hold your breath for altcoins. There's a lot o FUD going on coming from big social media influencers saying that Bitcoin dominance will go to 80% and alts will go to 0 when SEC sues other projects the same way they did to XRP.

I think this FUD is what is holding altcoins back and making people buy only BTC. But it won't last forever that's for sure!

Lower hashrate and more rejects on RTX 3070 since the new epoch.

..Old haters sure remember me for being absolutely right about everything. I was the same dude that hired 25 asics and drove price skyhigh back in the days when the DGB CEO was entertaining with how much he could have made if he had just hold. What a jerk!

Fact. I bought 4500 DGB at yobit which has the lowest wd fee at the fine price of 069 Sats.

Portfolio is hobbyist and not intended for sale. Solely comparison with fine coins like BTC, ETC, XRP, TRON, BTT, DOGE and a few others.

PS. Signal from the whale club ticket in a moment ago. Might be some stupid fuck devaluating his coin by telling how stupid he is. Check on.

Sorry but your post makes no sense. I do not understand it.

Talking about price, I've been saying that DGB will go down to 50 satoshis and it probably will. The ATH in satoshis (over 2000 satoshis) will never be reached again.

yes sure of course !

digibyte will never reach 2000 satoshis.. NEVER....
now it is a just a dream like NELLY song.
so sad...digibyte is a good coin

Sadly, I attribute that partially for taking so long on the mining algo fork and then the foul decision to make the coin only mineable by ASICs and FPGAs

The potential was great...

🥁 The Radium Core team is excited to share the Roadmap for 2020!

Forward always!

I understand the name and ticker change but I'm concerned about the recognition of this coin's past. Once the name is changed I believe all the past efforts will be erased in the eyes of most newcomers. I hope the name change can bring more attention to the coin but I'm afraid people will see it just as a new "sh*tcoin"

🎆 EVENT: 'Stake like a boss!' 🎆

➡️ What: +50% Staking Rewards
➡️ When: 25th-26th of January
➡️ How: We will use the unique #Radium Spread Fee Protocol as described in the White Paper

Happy Staking Everyone!

http://radiumcore.org #pos #proofofstake #fintech #blockchain

Awesome! Are the Radium stakers required to do anything in order to participate?

Nope, just be online 25-26 Jun to receive the increased fees.

It doesn't mean there will be more blocks or that the set reward changes, but the fee that comes with each block will be increased.
We can do that by paying a huge fee on a transaction and the Spread Fee Protocol will divide the fee over 1400 blocks.
It's a little new year's gift from the Radium Core team to show our appreciation to all you Radium stakers.

Thank you!

Since noone mentioned here Poloniex delisting Digibyte last month, I thought I'd update the community about what happened. I don't and won't use Telegram, and I believe Digibyte's discussions should be concentrated on the coin's main website, in "normal" forums accessible to all. I'm also positive that ignoring the importance of bitcointalk.org as a communication channel only serves to harm the coin.

That being said, and despite my complete objection to what Digibyte has become - a coin mineable only by ASICs and FPGAs, with CPUs and GPUs excluded, and thus excluding everyone everywhere in the world where acquiring that sort of equipment is difficult/impossible for a series of reasons - I do agree that delisting the coin was an act of personal revenge by Poloniex's owner against Digibyte.

I often think the discussions of this coin are just a circus composed by diehard DGB fans and hodlers in small groups, this thread is often ignored and that only serves to harm the coin like you very well said.

Hi there.

I have a little concern. It seems that since YTD Digibyte has been on a downward trend (just look at CMC graph or TradingView). Now this might not mean bad news but i would like to think how we can reverse this.

For one there has been a lot of bad blood between exchanges about its centralisations, questionable practices etc which i agree should be addressed, however why don't Digibyte Devs or team then make its own Crypto exchange that way trading or admin fees can be wavered using digibyte coins. I have no doubts this will improve the circulation of the coin and bring about a more unified front form this community and show better promise for its use in real world business as we would not need to rely on these "Power Controlled" Exchanges anymore.

I also read now that Digibyte Stablecoin is in the works or going to be released soon, what does this mean for Digibyte Coin itself? Will it slowly erode away making way for this new Stablecoin? Will devs or project team still be as committed to the Digibyte coin? Or will it falter in favour of this new coin? Is this the reason we are continually seeing a downwards trend on this Coin?

There are so many questions, I for one think we should rather focus on getting our own exchange before committing to a new Stable Coin as ultimately we will be heavily dependent on these Exchnages that we so much have come to criticize. Even if this StableCoin depends on your relationship with your bank, remember we live in a global world where bank regulations have different opinions on cryptos so I might live in a country that hates crypto so for me to get a StableCoin backed Digibyte with my bank will be difficult, however it is much easier for me to trade on Exchanges as then I have more freedom to do so which I think this goes for a lot of people around the world not just the select few in USA.

This is just my honest opinion and it is what I strongly feel. Smiley

Cheers!

DGB will fall to the 50 satoshis range in a near future like I was expecting months ago. The algo change took too long and disregarded completely GPU miners and now a "new" Digibyte currency will decrease DGB value drastically as we start to see in the charts. Soon DGB will be back to prices as in before 2016.

I like Radium project, but I am afraid it will be in the next delisting wave on Bittrex. Volume is almost 0 BTC for a long time.
I hope I am wrong.

This trully worrysome because Bittrex has been doing regular delistings.

I'm not gonna lie, it's very discouraging to hold during this downward movements. But this is one of the most consistent crypto projects alive, and the best staking coin that exists.

Things are looking ugly, DGB will go down to 40-50 satoshis range.
Sure?
Expecting a brief explanation.
No data found on the historic price statement. https://coinmarketcap.com/currencies/digibyte/historical-data/

Daily chart strong support is around that area. 80 satoshis is the last stance, if it breaks, we go down 40 to 50% price in BTC
