I think it's actually all about us to increase the number of Bitcoins that are all purposeful. Bitcoin will do it for me if at least he will make me rich in the future. Of course there are some good and useful ones. But to me, many of them will lose value after funding their own projects. The prices fell way too fast and no one expected it to be this way. Hopefully it does not keep going down and we can start seeing some recovery in prices.

 You had better to half your coins for a long term and for a short term. Because the prices of other altcoin now are very unpredictable. We don't know when the price going up and when it going down. It is better to wait the right time when you sell your altcoin. When there is a time that the prices of altcoin  are going up. So that's  the time to sell your coin to have a bigger profit. Then hold the half of your coin for a long term.
