41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 09, 2014, 05:45:40 PM
Teh fuck... 15 GH/s? Has it ever been so "low" in the past weeks?
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 09, 2014, 12:10:05 PM
Kinda weird. Since I've been using d=256 on EU server, my rejects went down to almost 0%:

GPU 0:  79.0C 2899RPM | 752.9K/752.8Kh/s | A:37632 R:0 HW:0 WU: 570.9/m I:13
GPU 1:  77.0C 3496RPM | 726.7K/715.8Kh/s | A:38048 R:0 HW:0 WU: 568.7/m I:13
GPU 2:  80.0C 3605RPM | 685.1K/717.7Kh/s | A:44800 R:0 HW:0 WU: 685.7/m I:13

wafflepool and middlecoin are on par in the last 24hr...

+1, just as clevermining by the way. I've switched from middlecoin to wafflepool a week ago and payouts are merely the same. You don't need to switch if you want to get payed better, the only reason could be better support (wafflepool), better website (clevermining) or don't switch at all. I was just tired of no communication and all the issues.

Is it possible we could get a minimum difficulty, im getting a bit tired of one of my workers dropping to 2

Just like 16 or something, 2 is just useless for everyone.

Atm im having 60 shares a minute...

Yes, you can lock the difficulty to whatever you'd like. Check the main page for help. Point your miners to either:

New York: stratum+tcp://useast.wafflepool.com:3333
California: stratum+tcp://uswest.wafflepool.com:3333
Amsterdam: stratum+tcp://eu.wafflepool.com:3333

Username: Your Bitcoin Address
Password: Any Password is acceptable

You can use one of the following as your password to set your miners difficulty (remove quotes):
"d=64", "d=128", "d=256", "d=512", "d=1024"

Mine is for example: cgminer.exe -o stratum+tcp://eu.wafflepool.com:3333 --scrypt -u [bitcoin address] -p d=256 -I 13 -w 256 -g 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --shaders 2048

Difficulty is now locked @ 256

Doh, should've read that post a little better. True, when I use it on the EU server it works like a charm Smiley
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 07, 2014, 09:43:29 PM
Hmmmm, it looks like my fixed difficulty setting is being ignored. -p d=256, but yet I'm still starting @ 16 towards 1024 diff. Sad
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 07, 2014, 07:10:26 PM
In your configfile: -u [BTC address] -p d=256

for example

No, I want the pool to be 100% stable. It's plenty big enough to work now, adding tons of little miners who don't have 50MH each just causes a lot of server traffic.
As the owner of a brick-and-mortar company that does work for businesses, as opposed to individuals, and mostly decent-sized corporations, there is something to this big miner vs small miner thing.

If I were to start a pool, honestly, I'd probably design it to attract larger miners (10MH+) and discourage smaller ones.  Providing support to a small number of large customers is SO much easier and more lucrative than a ton of small ones.

Easier? Hell yeah, definately. More risky? Also.

As the owner of an hostingcompany with tens of thousands individual customers (and also SOME large corps), we've had little or no problem with the recession/crisis/economic meltdown. Instead, we've grown almost twice the size in the last few years.

My point being: when you dedicate yourself to a small pool of large hashrates and get a lot of issues as middlecoin has right now, you wouldn't lose 1 or 2 GH/s as it did in the last few days, but you'd lose a lot more then that. Just as it wouldn't heart our profits too much when we get a big interruption of our services due to lets say... a DDoS attack. Better for the long term in my opinion, but I would understand when you disagree.

I switched to wafflepool yesterday and get 0,02% rejects. Don't know yet if it is the same or more profitable, but I'm gonna try it out for a couple of days.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 07, 2014, 06:44:20 PM
Almost 1 million shares accepted on different GPU's and 256 rejected on average on the main server. Eventhough EU server is hosted in Amsterdam (and very close by to my home location), is there any other reason why I should switch given the fact that I've got almost 0% rejected shares?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 06, 2014, 06:40:59 PM
Still the rejectrate is kinda sick low. I've got one GPU that has 2045160 accepted shares and 1920 rejected. That's less than 0,1%... (connected to main server wafflepool.com and living near Amsterdam).

Keep in mind, this is the same for everyone, so your profit won't likely be higher as a result of lower rejects.

Absolutely right, didn't think of that. But (newbie question alert), isn't true that whenever the total pool's rejectionrate is lower (and acceptrate higher) we as a pool have more chance of finding blocks because less hashpower is wasted?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 06, 2014, 06:23:03 PM

I'm also behind moving some coins from the list. It probably wouldn't hurt earnings, but it will definately make it more managable in serverload terms. Rather add some new profitable coins then keep existing that almost aren't mined at all. I'm personally not bothered by leftovers added to the pool's funding to make it even more awesome Smiley
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 06, 2014, 11:06:54 AM
Just a question: for the last couple of hours we've been mining casinocoin and alphacoin from which almost every block is ending up orphaned. Does this hurt our BTC/MH per day? I see the BTC/MH/day dropping on the mainpage also fairly quickly from 0.013 12 hours ago to under 0.01 right now.

Do you automatically disable (temporarely) coins that return a lot of orphaned blocks? The payouts are really hurt when this occurs and might be the one (and only) reason why middlecoin is a little more profitable. I'm still happy with waffle, but it would be nice if this could be addressed.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][POOL] Profit switching pool - wafflepool.com on: February 06, 2014, 08:40:31 AM
Mining casinocoin seems pretty useless right now as I see almost every block end up being orphaned.

I HAVE BEEN MINING ON MIDDLECOIN FOR 17 MINUTES AND MY HASH RATE IS NOT SHOWING UP!?!

WHY IN THE BLOODY HELL HASNT H2O ADDED ME?

HE MUST BE STEALING MY 1.5MASH RATE

THEIEEEFEFFFFF!!!!!!!!!11

How would you go about writing that down in a police form? This guy, like, stole my hash rate. Dude, this is serious. No really. He just like stole 1.5mh/s.

If you are not joking, give it a while longer.

Operator: 911, what is your emergency?

Damnsammit:  h20 stole my hash, man!

Operator: Excuse me?

Damnsammit: All of my hash, man.  h20 fucking stole it!  It's gone!

Operator:  So you are saying water stole your weed?

Damnsammit:  What the fuck are you talking about?

Operator:  The police are on their way.  This line is for emergencies only.

This thread just made my day Cheesy And yes, I am drunk now.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - www.middlecoin.com on: February 05, 2014, 06:13:37 PM
the problem is that your "non-faulty" logic is totally wrong lol.

it has nothing to do with self control, and everything to do with personal preference. you prefer to live in a world of rainbows and unicorns where everyone is sensitive and politically correct. and you cry foul when something doesnt make everyone happy.

whereas most of the internet accepts the reality of the internet and embraces its cruel, vial, nature. because it's hilarious and we aren't all such pussies. so when one of you comes along, we have a good laugh at your expense by making you more angry. mission accomplished.

theres no issue with self control, most of us feel like theres nothing that NEEDS to be controlled (especially something as small as this). if you cant handle the language of the internet, my best advice would be to unplug your ethernet cord.

Haha, I must be drunk sorry. Seriously pissing in my pants rolling over the floor. How a serious (intended) post can turn into a bitcointalk.org meme Smiley Maybe some of you could try Comedy Central?

Anyone else showing middlecoin.com is down?

It has been down for 8-9 hours.

said over and over again. read people.

you NEED to use WWW.middlecoin.com

here i'll prove it:
DOESN'T WORK - middlecoin.com
OMGZ WORKS - www.middlecoin.com

stats are not updating from coingeek likely for this exact reason. but other 3rd party sites (like this one) are working just fine.

That post was hilarious Cheesy Thanks, you made my day heh.

Switched to wafflepool until things are sorted out. My unexchanged rate is rocketing, but it's worth shit as long as it is not converted to BTC. I'm confident that middlecoin looks more profitable, but I haven't seen such a high unexchanged rate before. That's something "new" and it worries me.

I'll check again in a couple of days.

+1  at least you have high unexchanged rate..  I just low payouts due to problematics eu servers Sad

http://www.middlecoin.com/reports/18jWujC4oiZZAn9jawLVS2hJUXavgDCAMo.html

I switched Thursday 30th to amsterdam.middlecoin.com (I'm living approx. 120km from it) and almost completely missed the huge payout the next day. Eventhough Thursday was still nice, judging from the stats @ middlecoin.com, Friday shouldve been even better.

Friday at the end of the day I switched back to middlecoin.com main server as you can see in my stats. From that moment on, at least my unexchanged went up again. The Amsterdam server gave me a low unexchanged AND low exchanged balance.

I decided to stick with middlecoin for a while because the results last week were decent... And now in my second week... This kinda sucks. Would be making more money mining straight LTC.

It seems like the Middlecoin fanboys have also disappeared and are absent. Normally they would go rabid after a comment like the above. Something is amiss with the last three days payouts, generate very slow on all three ends, exchanged, unexchanged and immature.
Nah, as others have said look at wafflepools payouts and then look at coinwarz, nobody is making much of anything the last few days.  But we have a mountain of unexchanged. It seems like everyone here just looks at their balance and forgets about everything else

To be honest with you.... I'm only interested in euros, not in BTC's or unexchanged. Unexchanged balance is nothing more then a "predicted amount of BTC according to latest exchange rates". As long as it is not converted to BTC, nothing is sure about the value of unexchanged. It can be a lot higher then expected, but it can also be a lot lower then expected. I'd rather not see my balance stacked in unexchanged, but at the moment the unexchanged (or uncertain) BTC's is about 5 times higher then my actual BTC balance.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] profit switching auto-exchanging pool - middlecoin.com on: February 02, 2014, 09:41:45 AM
Why would wafflepool be any better? Their last 24h stat says 0.00548043 BTC per MH/s per day. When I look at middlecoin, the last 24 hours we've earned approx. 0.009 per MH/s per day. Not much, but still almost twice as much as wafflepool does.

http://wafflepool.com/stats

What am I missing?
