Is there a place I can sign up for if I wanted to do the Finnish translation for NEM?
I should graduate in about a year with a master's degree in law here in Finland, so I think I can handle Finnish pretty well.
So many finns here NEM could be the sisu coin of crypto?

The sock and unclaimed stakes should be used at the discretion of all NEMheads, IMO. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) We need to have a well funded, multi-year marketing and protocol development plan in place. NXT is a good example of what to do and what not to do. I think if we use sock accounts to dilute the value of NEM, by selling on the open market in order to issue silver bullion keepsakes, we miss a chance to use that for marketing and core development. Bringing in users is the #1 priority of any crypto. Imagine uniting the tech of NXT, the user base of DOGE, with the social networking of Stellar all into one coin. This is what NEM can and should strive for. Makoto, Pat, BloodyRookie, Gimre, and Jaguar are stand up individuals and have poured a tremendous amount of work into this baby. Let's try to support them in anyway we can and try to remember why the New Economy Movement started in the first place.

Regarding the unclaimed stskes, has anyone suggested a dutch auction with proof of burn? Or equal distribution of them to all holders of nem on a specific date and time.
These are the only two fair distributions imo.
Yes, those two options have been suggested but for various reasons been rejected. An equal distribution would create tons of problems (how to handle those who've sold on the NXT AE etc.) and the stake holders already have enough NEM (NEM need to be spread). Burning the NEM is in my option still an acceptable solution but it has also been rejected. Jyrvalor posted an imo great proposal (although not sure how, and if it should/can be implemented). https://forum.nemcoin.com/index.php?topic=2501.msg6395#msg6395 Burn them or create a massive Facebook give away. We need NEM's in the hands of newbs. Look at what Doge has done with a crappy Litecoin clone.

We had a red coin, and a redd coin. If it's not officially made by reddit then they can't use the name reddit. What will they call it?
Karma coin

A friend of mine came with the idea, to fund a movie via nxt: https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=802883.0The market cap should be sufficent for crowdfunding like that. Don't you think? I mean. Not only funding crypto coins and more cryptocoins but also other real business. I think, that could really give a boost to NXT, if we put some placed advertisement in a movie. Jinn is going to be another one to watch. Good stuff from CFB and Wesleyh

The math unfortunately doesn't add up for the number of Karma coins.
The market cap of 62B coins at 10 satoshi is 6200 Bitcoins. 6200 BTC at $400 is $2,480,000.00 How many Litecoin/Dogecoin/Bitcoin clones have a market cap above $1M? How many coins out there survive in the single satoshi range?
The only way out was, and still is, a 10:1 reverse split, and better yet a 100:1 reverse split or greater.
The attempt by Kosmost to reverse engineer Karma into a crypto-equity was brilliant IMO. The legality of which was in that gray area, especially after some more recent rulings. Proof of Coin concept came from him and bitwho. We all gave 110% for Karma and if you care to read the old threads you would see that.
Again, the math isn't there unless you build value. That value has to come from either a huge community based, such that Doge has, or adopt a technology that attracts the crypto masses to come and hold coin for the long term. NO ONE wants to buy a single satoshi coin and watch a few ticks go by and be at a 50% loss. This is the the unfortunate part of the math that won't go away unless the number of coins is reduced.
You need an entirely new fork, less coins. My plan to try and unite with NXT fell on deaf ears. All you are left with now is a fucking great name. Karma is and always will be a great name.
Good luck.

givecoin was already clone of Karma that failed, Karma ofcourse was a clone of litecoin which was a clone of bitcoin... people are welcome to create more clones and succeed or fail based on their own efforts.
According to the developers it was a clone of Darkcoin -- Givecoin was always X11 from day one :p all I can say is that I wont be leaving this coin unless it is hijacked by someone with bad intentions. so I will continue to develop for this coin. people are free to come and go as they please.
^^^ I totally agree with that sentiment -- you can only really trust peoples INTENT & COMPETENCE enjoy your trip around the world.. there are much more interesting things to see than endless posts about the price of Karma and complaints about dumping lol
Indeed -- Bon Voyage and safe travels! So jealous! Thank you people. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Safe travels

I was quoting the nxtcrypto.org wiki. Since forging is how NXT secures transactions, who cares what the forging fee is if you can double spend? That is the type of political power any central banker wishes.
ANyway. I'm done here. I love PoS because it's so easy everyone should have their own PoS altcoin. I hate PoW because it's hard. That's why they call it work.
Yeah, double-spend my ass ![Cheesy](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/cheesy.gif) sure, you're done here, because spreading FUD is hard, hard work, especially if you don't have a clue on the technicals ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Well said. PoW is dead unless you are bitcoin. ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif)

Still need a few years to go. Not easy to become the world currency! When the price is down to a low level, I will buy more to save for the future.
You are deluding yourself if you think you are going to get them much cheaper than today. Yes volatility will remain really high in coming years, but the drops will be from much higher bases, I seriously doubt we will ever see $450 again! Doh!! How about $390

Is there any exchange for this yet?
There is talk about BTC38.com but I haven't verified a timeline or accuracy. This news that NodeCoin might be joining the SuperNET may make stakes worth quite a bit. Stay tuned.

Bter is allowing trading under the official price ![Smiley](https://bitcointalk.org/Smileys/default/smiley.gif) Who is selling and why? Aren't those prices lower than today's best sale price? if I sold mine one sat under going rate now, I'd be up 7% I don't get it? Buyers remorse already or people playing some arbitrage between gateways?
