41  Bitcoin / Group buys / Re: [OPEN] Avalon 4.1 Miner 1.3 TH 40+ units on: June 19, 2015, 03:00:11 AM
I'd be down to add two more to my current set-up.

I'll see if I can get my friend involved. Wife made him stop mining because of noise, Avalon 4.1 is a good way to get back in, am I right?

Very exciting! Can't wait to see test results from the public and prices.

Perhaps they forgot. I will remind them.

We have not cancelled the compensation. As announced, compensation is going to be shipped immediately as we clear the queue.

The queue has been cleared, thus the compensation must be shipped immediately. WHY HAS IT NOT SHIPPED???

We are working on a new miner. We'll offer compensation to those interested and who did not put defamatory posts on the internet as soon as it becomes available.

After a really long wait (since Nov 2013, order #17XX) I finally recieved my two X-1's. No X-1.5's?

Doesn't matter since both models are useless relics not even worth mining with or reselling. I was also promised compensation of three units yet I only recieved two?

Thanks for nothing.
New model? Thanks but no thanks. Very much no thanks. You can't even begin to comprehend the sort of 'compensation' neccessary to put out the fires you've set.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: American Green's Bitcoin Accepting Marijuana Vending Machines Hit Seattle on: February 26, 2015, 08:03:05 AM
I live in the greater Seattle area and have been looking for this vending machine all over. Anyone actually know where it is? I'd buy some herb with my coin just for the novelty of seeing the machine dispence some weed.

I've requested pricing for 20+ units and will let everyone know when I receive a response.

You da best!   Grin

I'd be down for at least three more like six if the price is right. I feel interest in the Avalon 4.1 is more then adequate for a group buy if you can get the right price point. Somewhere close to the SP20 price and the market will eat it up.

Hey Crazyguy do you plan on selling Avalon 4.1 units at ASICPuppy.net?

^^^ Indeed... I was hoping they would of called him to the witness stand during the SR/DPR case. Andreas would of pulled some Jedi mind tricks on the jury and judge for sure. Apparently they didn't let him testify because he isn't a qualified expert. Sad
51  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Review of Avalon-4.1 on: February 12, 2015, 04:43:00 AM
Excellent review again Philipma! Your SP20 review is what sold me. I would sell my SP20s and convert to these new Avalons in a heart beat if the price was better. I currently move my SP20s in and out of different rooms via a mobile shelving unit to deal with the noise. Even with a large group buy the price is not competitive. Price needs to come down before I'd consider making the switch.

I don't see why a merchant would stop accepting Bitcoin. It doesn't cost them anything unless they've built up and staffed an entire department to manage their Bitcoins.

I doubt it the bitcoin amount they are concerned with but most likely the USD amount. The man wants his cut! Especially when the amounts start to get anywhere close to 10k.

Right now one is free to stack Bitcoins to the sky with minimal reprecussion but once you start dealing in USD you better have your shit straight.

58  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: January 21, 2015, 10:52:08 AM
I wouldn't remove the bottom metal stand - it keeps the boards firmly in place. Thinking about changing the stock fan though, the noise is driving me crazy now with 4 units

Even without that stand the top mounting for the controller board will still lock those ASIC boards firmly in place. Stock fan is terrible, any delta 7 blade fan works much better than stock fan, but the problem is to modify the cabling to utilize the PWM feature on board, too much work for 4 units

Someone linked these http://www.ebay.com/itm/Micro-Mini-JST-Connector-1-5mm-4-pin-w-Wire-x-10-sets-/161350482183 in a different thread. I'm not sure what kind of adapater is needed. Couldn't you just hook the fan directly up to the PSU with some sort of regulator in between? Where to get said regulator is beyond me.
59  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: Unofficial Spondoolies SP20 thread on: January 21, 2015, 05:45:59 AM
Has anyone had much success getting reductions in noice replacing the stock fan? It doesn't seem as easy as it should...
