41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Buying NEO on: July 18, 2018, 06:04:39 AM
Yes, it seems to me to be an excellent long-term investment, if ever the Chinese government decides to revoke the ban on cryptos I think NEO will be the first to be approved, as it has been seen with good eyes by the Chinese government, it is always under development and also produces GAS to pay the fees and have an extra income while you are hodling your staking.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: All the bounty tokens can be sold? on: July 18, 2018, 05:07:52 AM
not always, some tokens could be used in the same platform, others do not release the token in the exchange until the project has finished, this gives them some control and avoids the currency depression that occurs when the dumpers sell their tokens as soon as they receive it, of course, this only works with legitimate projects that have a future.
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: I have 12 Bitcoin. What should I do??? on: July 17, 2018, 04:59:49 AM
haha if you can make that amazing progress in such a short time, I don't know what you need our help for, you probably have the answer, you can keep doing what you've been doing, look at the market, now there is not the hype that there was last year, but you can still invest in some promising ICOs or altcoins that you think will generate dividends, or else hodl as most of us  are doing.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: What's the most important thing makes you participate in bounty program? on: July 17, 2018, 03:20:20 AM
Besides analyzing the project thoroughly and see if it's really good or not, to participate in an ICO as a bounty hunter I think the most important thing is the bounty manager, someone who knows what he's doing and who can communicate with the community, and that's assured the rest comes, like reading the whitepaper, the roadmap, the team... and so on.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: ETH, Dash and Ripple which to invest in? on: July 15, 2018, 11:20:31 PM
At the moment I like Ethereum the best. I believe it has the strongest use case in the near future and it's making a heck of a name for itself.

At the moment, my best investment is IOTA, which is up 47% since I bought it. WTC is second with 39%. BTC is third with 36%.

I bought BTC, ETH, and LTC through GDAX (Coinbase's exchange) using a bank deposit. If you want to avoid fees, ignore Coinbase (CB) and just sign right into GDAX (your account is the same as CB). Do a bank account deposit (also called ACH transfer). This takes 3-5 business days to deposit but it's free.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: wasted 3-4 months in bounty and at end got nothing ?? on: July 15, 2018, 10:06:30 PM
Well at least I can tell you that you have gained some experience, you will be much more careful and attentive when choosing bounties now, I can recommend you to check out the bounty manager, that they are backed by someone you trust with a good rank and who knows what they are doing, for example you can check the spreadsheet, if you register and a week later they update it means that the manager is not very aware of the ICO and that usually is not a good sign.
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cost of dApp development on ethereum blockchain? on: July 14, 2018, 03:27:20 AM
That's not really a question that anybody can answer. It would all depend on what exactly you are building.

I think you may be better off hiring just one or two experts in cryptography and blockchain tech rather than a mixed bag of 7 "front-end & back-end" devs. But again, it depends on what you're doing.
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: what causes the price of crypto down on: July 14, 2018, 03:03:36 AM
It's not China, or India, or whales manipulating the price, or South Korea, or CNBC, or wall street manipulating the price via futures, or the Winklevoss twins cashing out...

It's banks choking the inflow of money into crypto by banning purchases through credit cards. By raising the barrier to entry less money flows in to balance the money flowing out and prices drop.

This has thrown cold water on the hot crypto market and turned into a feedback loop as people don't like to buy when prices are dropping. It will continue until all the speculators are out and only the true believers in a crypto economy remain.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should I invest in ICO? How much? on: July 13, 2018, 03:07:45 AM
if you researched the ICO and you are interested in the project and what they are going to do, then invest, that if, always what you are willing to lose, you have to keep in mind that the ICOs are quite unstable and have many conditions required for them to be successful and have a good launch.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: full-time cryptocurrency on: July 12, 2018, 05:18:58 AM
first of all, do you have anything saved in case your plan fails? secondly, what do you plan to do? hodling trading, bounties? you know how much you can do and if you can keep up with that without eating your savings? if you already have that clear, then you could, since this came to stay and there will always be money opportunities in the market
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Do you believe in crypto long-term? on: July 12, 2018, 03:13:07 AM
I would say if you can really nail a long-term investment at under a dollar and it becomes an ETH or a NEO type coin then you're set. But with long term investments, you do run the risk of just investing in a shitty coin. Think of all the coins that came out while the market is in a bear trend. Assuming that the company doesn't just shit the bed completely and get removed from exchanges then you'll be able to probably get a bit of profit if you got it at a good price but if you waited an entire year for minimal profits that's a huge opportunity cost.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best competitors to Ethereum? on: July 11, 2018, 03:44:53 AM
I don't think there are any real competitors right now. Everything either isn't in production yet and will have to build an ecosystem from scratch, or doesn't have a significant advantage, or gets higher throughput by relying on more centralized consensus mechanisms, which is fine as a stopgap but I don't think will ultimately win (and for anyone who wants that, Enterprise Ethereum can offer some fine permission chains).

I do find some projects technically interesting, especially DFinity, then RChain, but it'll be a while before either one launches. I'll also probably look more at Cardano and Zilliqa. I used to be interested in Aeternity before the suits kicked out the guy who invented it.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Should continue join ico? on: July 11, 2018, 02:54:03 AM
You always have to analyze the ICO, you can't just jump in for what is popular at the moment, as you can see here in the forum there are several new ICOs coming out daily, first focus on analyzing the whitepaper, then the team and the roadmap, if you think you are interested in the project, then join without problems
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: How do you think about Bobsrepair (BOB token) ? on: July 09, 2018, 02:31:08 AM
BOB is an ERC20 utility token built upon the Ethereum network. they were able to take revolutionary Blockchain technology, first sparked by the creation of Bitcoin, and integrate it with the home repair and construction industry. By keeping all data about every single repair public on an open ledger (the Blockchain), they aim to eliminate fake reviews, unfair pricing, and ambiguity in the skilled trade industry. How can I not love this idea? It's great, especially if you have an interest in real estate or house improvement.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: whats your Favorite coin ?! on: July 09, 2018, 02:19:38 AM
Both COSS and PRL

Coss because it does not need to change the world or be adopted, it just needs to create a working exchange with some coins that people want and the price rises.

PRL because capturing both decentralized storage and internet advertising could be a huge change in two industries at the same time. I also really like following the project and testing the testnets, I don't invest in it only for the potential ROI, but also because I believe that it is just an amazing idea and would love to see it working in the future.
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: except for bitcoin, what is your prefer? on: July 08, 2018, 09:52:01 PM
if bitcoin was banned you would see a massive dip fueled by fear and then a bunch of people would buy the dip to bring the price up. This is what happened when China banned BTC and they have a massive economy... Besides if bitcoin is banned everywhere it would affect the other altcoins so it's almost impossible to know which one would rise.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: for 3000$ whats your choice on: July 08, 2018, 09:25:37 PM
The big ones are the safest and most obvious. Of those I'd grab a chunk of Ethereum. That one is safe and I think quite lucrative for the coming year. If you stay within the top 10-20 on the Market Cap (coinmarketcap.com) it'll be tough to lose money over the long term. I would keep most of it there.

That said, some deep alts that I really like and would recommend researching:

Bounty0x (BNTY)

APP Coin (APPC)

RaiBlocks (XRB)

Request Network (REQ)
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: If your coin increased 40% - 200% in value over night. What would you do? on: July 08, 2018, 07:15:58 PM
I will probably sell a part to recover some capital and then hodl to see how far it goes, if it was just a coin that I used to make money fast, I might sell it all, but if it's a project I believe in and want to see successful I hold out and buy back when the price goes down again, because as we saw during this year, such an exponential increase in such a short time is not sustainable.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Am I late to the party? on: July 07, 2018, 05:53:24 AM
Depends on what your expectations are. If you wanna go big I'd rather invest in cheaper perspective coins. Once you get a grip of trading, you can try to profit on the waves. Don't gamble your whole stack though, only a minor amount. Research the market and you should get an idea about what's hot at the moment.

If you only plan to invest long term then I recommend to diversify between ether and 2-3 more cryptos of your choice
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Atls with actual use case right now on: July 07, 2018, 05:26:00 AM
NEO - has some really good dApps and well on its way to be a strong blockchain builder.

Metaverse ETP - had 30 Projects being built before the China ban, has a couple of dApps and a team that believes in a BaaS, (blockchain as a service approach), Where they're more of an agency to big businesses. CEO is ex-cofounder of NEO.

Wabi - already has a working product in stores to integrate RFID scanning with blockchain to fight counterfeit products. Well on their way to hit 1,000 stores!

Of course, we have Eth and a few obvious ones.
