SOIC (Small Outline IC), PLCC (plastic leaded chip carrier), QFP (Quad Flat Package), PGA (Pin grid array), QFN (quad flat no-lead package) and BGA (ball grid array) are modern SMT packages. Just a little constructive criticism.
Yes, you are right Intel 4004 from the year 1971! The main point is that it was the first commercially available computer processor and it helped to change the world. Do you thing that processor from the year 2014 will change the world more? I don't think so. It is just next step in evolution. And modern cpu doesn't look so cool in silver

Nxt or NEM are trying to change the future and it will be long and hard path.
