41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Service Discussion (Altcoins) / Re: Poloniex Will Delist 17 Altcoins In One Day on: April 20, 2017, 05:49:37 PM
This is a slap-in-the-face to the coin communities and Polo's customers.

Delisting from the busiest exchange is the kiss of death.

Polo = bittrex2.

I don't own any of those coins but it still pisses me off when exchanges take it on themselves to "end" a coin/traders after they made a shitload of money on it/them for years.

Shame on you Polo.

43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [POLL] Myriad vs Digibyte? on: April 05, 2017, 10:40:05 PM
I seem to remember these are (were?) pretty decent coins. Myriad was kinda revolutionary in its day. Like so many others these were overrun by shitcoins.
44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Buy Litecoin Inmediately. on: April 05, 2017, 10:36:22 PM
LTC actually has a few benefits to Bitcoin:

Better initial distribution, less Roger Ver types

Less hacks, most hacks 2011-2016 were for Bitcoin creating some shady bagholders, also the US Government

People new to cryptocurrency have a natural affinity to Litecoin as it is the underdog

Lead developer is Chinese and has political muscle

With Segwit+LN, there is literally no reason to be using Bitcoin for the short term as most places that accept Bitcoin also accept Litecoin. Because Bitcoin requires 95% to activate Segwit, then Litecoin will most likely be running Segwit+LN alone for most of 2017 or at least unless the Bitcoin price tanks and miners wake up.

The flippening could happen, but not with Ethereum as previously thought, but with Litecoin.

People love an underdog! Watch out...

Good post. Ethereum never had a chance after exhibiting all it's flaws.

This is like watching the good guy get knocked to the ground. Looks like he's out for the count but miraculously gets up and lays a beating on the bad guy.
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: April 05, 2017, 10:27:48 PM
There has always been faith and trust in litecoin. One has to look beyond the noise created by fudsters and shills. Ltc deserves its place in the sun. I hope it settles at 0.10 btc and stays there. Teach all those scammy ico coins a thing about fairness and transparency.
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Litecoin is officially dead on: March 31, 2017, 01:50:10 AM
Nice to see ltc getting some action. Will this be a short term pump? A mega pump? Or is ltc finally going to live up to "silver" ?

It all depends on the btc whales. Depends how tired they are of btc drama, slow transactions, and increasing transaction fees. Maybe they've decided to jump ship to ltc.

Hey, look Mods! People talking about altcoins here in this thread for pages and pages!

But of course if *I* have something mentioned about an altcoin in one of my posts, it gets deletely instantly!

Selective much?

Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

I hear you bud. I friggen hate it when they come in here shilling their shitcoins(I'm looking at you eth). They got the altcoin section for that.
48  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 18, 2017, 11:38:53 PM
So anyone care to explain why this whole BU fork FUD just happens to come up immediately after the ETF disapproval?  Hmmm?

You guys are getting played.  The pumpers ALWAYS come up with a reason to DUMP following an ATH.  If they can't exploit a hole, hack an exchange, or DDoS the shit out of one, they'll find another way.

The new way is pretty simple: social engineering based on emotion.  Make something trivial about Bitcoin into a big deal, create troll/shill accounts to divide the community, push $$$ towards alts and tout them as 'Bitcoin 2.0', and get everyone whipped up in a frenzy.  And short-dump on the way down.

Apparently, 90% of the time it's gonna work every time. Because bitcoiners are a bunch of overgrown whiny babies that can be easily manipulated.

Good post and bang on except for the whiny babies part ... Grin

I'm happily watching from the sidelines waiting for the lows you know are coming. Bitcoin never disappoints.
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: SPOETNIK says dash is an ULTRA SCAMMY coin! but now wants to defend it??? why??? on: March 10, 2017, 10:22:14 PM
Spoet is lovin Dash just to piss off Monero shills.  Grin

You can't protect and be a cheerleader for a scam to piss other shills off. Does not work like that. You are either against scams or not.

He does not need to go on every anti dash thread and challenge anyone xmr shills or not. He is simply using this as an excuse.

He tries to criticise anyone on anti dash threads for any number of reasons, and will not confirm he believes dash is a scam.

Why not?

Hmmmm??? It's almost as if someone is paying him for his services...

back in January there were two or three legs down and the first one also got stucked by 1060-1080$ for some hours, before going down to 900$ the day after. Just sayin'

Yep. Dead cat bounces.

So.... what will be the bottom?  Shocked

That is the 21 million dollar question. I've got a buy order waiting for the low $800s but I doubt it will go that low but here's hoping for another flash crash or two.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: March 10, 2017, 08:42:10 PM
Are they waiting till after the markets close because the answer is a 'YES' ? Rejecting the ETF won't affect markets much, but approval just might cause a ripple.

I respectfully disagree.

Be prepared for a substantial price change in either direction. This is bitcoin and huge swings "on the news" are the norm.

Complicated question... but what are you guys thinking will be the ETF yes/no impact on e.g. Ether? Will there be any?

You best be selling your beloved ether. If the ETF goes through every shitcoin is going to take a nose dive big time. It's all about bitcoin.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How can ETH be an attractive long term investment? on: March 05, 2017, 12:21:30 AM
Ethereum might never realize it's goals. Look how they burned through the first millions. Once the money dries up, so will ethereum. Unless they can keep development afloat with pump&dumps that is.

Buterin also admitted in one of his early blogs, ethereum would eventually become a community project. You can decipher that for yourself.

57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: [SCAM] BLOCKNET: The Metcalf/Prom Alt-Coin Cartel Scam Exposed on: February 24, 2017, 07:11:51 PM
Considering blocknet/xc is pretty well dead we can safely assume it was just another quick-rich scheme.  There are hundreds of them.

That's the beauty of altcoins.  Hard to prove wrong doing. Scammers and thieves paradise.
