Why can't I log back into the Official Pool? It says the username is invalid, wow.

Everything had to get cleaned out, so everyone has had to create a new account to keep mining there.

so what about the coins people had in their accounts?

After they do this...

1. Go to the folder cleanwatercoin-qt is in
2. Hold your SHIFT key
3. Right click on empty white space in that folder
4. Choose "open command window here"
5. A black command prompt window should pop up
6. Type: cleanwatercoin-qt.exe -rescan
7. Press ENTER

...we have been working with miners in getting them the right amount of coins they possibly had left over during the short window that the pool restarted before they were able to do a manual payout.

What are these instructions for? They don't work on windows 7. I assume I can just open a cmd windows froms tart menu and cd to the directory the coin .exe is in?

edit: tried this, still doesn't sync and I have "26 active connections to CWC network"
Also now I cannot send my coins either; the transaction is rejected!
Edit 2: The transactions were rejected, yet it has deducted it from my balance.
Is this because the wallet hasn't synced, or it it another bug?

Give up. There is no more room for another country/state/city clone coin!

Think of an original innovation. why does nobody want to do that?Huh?

98% of all coins are... whats ur point?

My point...really simple. They are all junk! simple. understand?

98% are clones so what that doesn't mean this can't go somewhere look @ Dogecoin look @ Auroracoin  look at the others you're just hating on California Coin because you didn't think of it and that's cool I get that but you could be focusing your positivity (or lack thereof) on good stuff  Cool

I say californiacoin is cool, first "Statecoin" There will probably be a lot of copy catters.

anyways time to go smoke some pot and mine me some CaliforniaCoins  Grin

I'm not hating on this coin, it just happened to be the one I came across...I have nothing against this coin, it's the same as the 98% other coins. I just thing it's time people stopped churning out "new" coins. I wush it wasn't so easy!

so does that mean we need to add to the 98%? does it sound like a clever idea to you???

Price has doubled in the last 24 hours for CWC so surely that is a good sign:)
This coin has real potential...we just need to keep behind it. If all issues are resolved and it is STABLE...then all confidence will be restored. It seems simple enough but looks like it will be pretty hard to achieve!

I'm still getting the "warning: invalid checkpoint found..."

What do we do with this error?

Do we just ignore it?

Also, where can I download the linux wallet and how do I transfer my windows to Linux?  Currently I run windows wallet on my laptop and mine on Ubuntu using cgminer. As that is runnign 24/7 I would much rather leave the wallet running on there too.

thanks

EDIT: My wallet is not even syncing now!!! arrrghhhh!!!!

Did you try going to help>debug>counsel>then type repairwallet

Had the same thing happen to my mintcoin wallet and that fixed the issue.

I just used an old wallet backup. Thanks for the info thought, i'm sure it will be useful for next time...i'm sure there will be a next time.

Ok thanks for your help BrianB and Peggy2jj.
I used an older backup of my wallet which has worked and I think I have all my cins back.

I have some in my balance and some in my stake. What does this mean exactly? I'm assuming it's the PoS balance but how does that work? Can I move it back and forth from the balance to stake? Are all coins spendable?

The Proof of Stake is the amount of coins that have aged enough to earn new coins simply by running the wallet, which helps the network.  You don't need to move them or anything, it is just showing you how many qualify.  The top balance is everything you can spend.

The top balance is everything I can spend? So, balance + stake = total spendable isn't true?
My balance is showing 15%-20% of my stake balance.

Balance should include the Stake.

OK it seems to have updated to include the stake now BUT now I have the "warning: invalid checkpoint..." error at the bottom of the screen.

Ahh it's one thing after another with this.

"Update: 4/28/2014 // Instructions For The Windows Wallet

1. Backup your wallet.dat file
2. Download the wallet: http://pool.cleanwatercoin.org/cleanwatercoin_txfix.zip
3. If you forgot, backup your wallet.dat file
4. Go to: C:\Users\YourUserName\Appdata\Roaming\cleanwatercoin
5. Delete everything EXCEPT for the wallet.dat file
6. Run the new wallet "

From OP

Hi,

I didn't make a backup of my wallet this time, but I DIDN't delete it either. This has never been an issue but this time I cannot even see the coins as unconfirmed. My number os transactions include the coins, but they're just not in my balance.

OK so my wallet thinks it has synced, to block 15971 and some of my coins are under 'balance' but the rest are under 'stake'. What does that mean???
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Clean Water Coin | $2,000 Donated to Charity: Water on: April 26, 2014, 12:30:56 AM
Wallet not syncing again! Is it really so difficult to get the basics working?

Others have it synced just fine, and out of the handful of people that have tested the new wallet -- it syncs as well -- and this time without having to jump through any hoops like the one from a couple weeks ago.
That is not correct. I downloaded the wallet today. fresh install, and have been hooping around for many hours now, still stuck at 17 days ago.

Yep, the coin seems to go through issue after issue. Can't blame anyone for getting frustrated now.

Mine worked a few days ago with the hoop jumping but now stuck on block 15969. Where is the windows link for the most up to date wallet?
cheers

For those that have been asking, we plan on having the official pool back up and working later this evening or first thing in the AM.

Will we finally be able to withdraw coins which are stuck in this pool?

Yup!

That's great, thanks!

why is this coin not listed on coinmarketcap yet? I see them adding new coins all the time, but not CWC?
