41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][WHITELIST]WorkChain.io- Real Time Payroll on the Blockchain | Working App! on: August 06, 2018, 12:53:00 PM
I see that you already have alpha out. Is it possible to check it out?

where did you find info about the alpha? are there some pics available?

Pics or it didn't happen Cheesy But if there's Alpha already out that means the project is really gone far...

Hi guys, our alpha is ready, and pretty soon you can expect public BETA.

Here is a quick preview of how it looks like:

Is there any specific reason why a lot of people are postibg the proof of authentication here in this thread?

Maybe there is no dedicated bounty thread?

How are you going to get partners to join WorkCain.io?

Some big HR company would be great partner!

Our first partners are Humanity.com and WorkPuls.com.
After that we will be going after similar software which can verify employees work.

Good idea about big HR companies, maybe Workforce management is more precise niche.

This is an Ethereum blockchain project, right? Is it going to be good enough,i mean we all rememeber what happened during cryptokitties craze.

You are right, this is Ethereum based blockchain project.
We were exploring many options but still we choose the best one at the moment.

When it comes to cryptokitties problem, we do have few side-chain options that we are testing, but for now we will stay on main-net.

Daily payments will be a big change in budget management. WorkChain.io is a meaningful project in the real world. What does WorkChain.io need to become popular and convenient for users?

That is true, it is a new concept in crypto but daily wages are not so uncommon.

I personally would not mind getting paid in crypto. I know some do not prefer that method of payment but doesn't bother me. It's the future!

Some people are already getting payed in crypto Cheesy Like bounty hunters for example.

And bounty managers Smiley

But yeah, plenty of people that are already living from crypto Smiley

We aim to make earning cryptocurrency possible for anyone who receives a paycheck today, not just bounty hunters Smiley
We can imagine the world where there is no more fiat just decentralized currencies.

Its like, getting you salary/wage in crypto, preferably stable coin and in real time.
Like once you finish your day at work(clock-out) you have immediate access to part of your salary/wage that you earned that day.

But can it be any coin or does it have to be your coin?

While we'll first focus on a stable-coin, our base payment protocol will be flexible so in theory any ERC20 currency could be used.

One thing to note, our token, WATT, is not the payment currency. You can read more about it here: https://workchain.io/watt

Is WATT erc20 token,or erc223?

WATT is ERC20 token.
If you would like to know why we chose ERC20 over ERC223, you can find it here:

what is real time payroll on block chain is that is directly effected block chain.

Its like, getting you salary/wage in crypto, preferably stable coin and in real time.
Like once you finish your day at work(clock-out) you have immediate access to part of your salary/wage that you earned that day.

Will i be able to store your tokens on my ledger nano s hardware wallet?

Our token is ERC20 standard - https://workchain.io/whitepaper/watttoken

Great! I have a hardware wallet to and ERC20 goes on those, however, it's not the easiest procedure. There are some tutorials online but haven't tried any of them. Maybe someone knows more about this.

You have to use myetherwallet in the combination with ledger nano s,to be able to access your tokens once on ledger,or in order to send them there.

How come you decided to go with erc20,i thought erc223 slowly becoming standard,or it doesnt bring any visible advantages yet?

Hi Gwiazdooka,

Thanks for the interest in our project, and great question Smiley

We would go ahead of our time if we implemented ERC223 token at the moment.

We have been following it since it was proposed and developments since. While we appreciate what it's trying to accomplish - As of today, it's still not standard or has the adoption required for our project.
51  Bitcoin / Development & Technical Discussion / Re: How Can/Do You Store Files on a Blockchain? on: July 27, 2018, 08:12:41 AM
Now imagine using that kind of technology on other day to day transactions from buying and selling of assets (real estate, stocks) to the government's activities it will give you more transparency on your deals and their actions. Someone will input/execute the transaction and everybody can look it up in the blockchain. Just think of it as an tamper proof online ledger where once you successfully inputted a data it can never be change or altered inside the chain.
OP wanted to store a PDF, at $1000 (today) to $100,000 (last December) per MB, that's rediculously expensive to do.
What you can do, is just store the hash of the file. This proves the file existed at the moment the hash was stored, and can't be altered anymore.
Dooglus did this to store Bustabit's hash here.

I think this is solid answer, IPFS is one of the examples.
Its great that it works even today and you can see great community there.

Does anyone have list of bitcoin or eth credit/debit cards providers?
53  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin failed as a currency on: July 26, 2018, 11:34:29 PM
There are definitely other decentralized(not necessary crypto currencies) currencies that will take  place of current currencies in next months/years.
I think that bitcoin was pushed into store of value which is not bad at all - digital gold.
