41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: WSJ - China Bank Warning!!! on: May 07, 2014, 10:39:09 PM
Chinese could easily start exchanging BTC with each other for goods and services since their national currency is over-manipulated by government. If needed, there will be hundreds of thousands of small private BTC exchanges on every corner.

Looks like there is no more fight "ant vs tree". It becomes more like "man vs tree".

trust nobody
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've ALSO Given Up on: May 05, 2014, 11:15:49 PM
Everytime the people thinks bitcoin is dead or there is that feeling, is when bitcoins starts to skyrocket

we need more "giveupers", more "blood on the streets" before it starts happening. More bitcoins at dirt-cheap prices are flowing into VC's hands, more brighter is the future.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Former Goldman Sachs Partner Bullish on Bitcoin (5/5/2014) on: May 05, 2014, 11:03:21 PM

Yes former Google employees created twitter.

just out of curiosity: what is Twitter's business model?
To make a pile of money in 140 characters or less.

they should quit that stupid idea and start mining coins.

Yes former Google employees created twitter.

And don't forget former Microsoft employees created Steam.

When I hear the word "Microsoft", I remember brown-colored Zune and Steve Balmer jumping and screaming "developers!" at the stage.. ..Both went down to tubes..

49  Economy / Speculation / Re: How True that Bitcoin is Failing on: May 05, 2014, 05:59:11 PM
why "it is failing", but hashrate and difficulty are still growing exponentially? And who are those "unknown" sources which take over 35% of total network calculation power?

igorr, your English sucks.
По-русски: твой английский ху*в и уныл
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: DID GOLD JUST HIT THE FAN? on: April 23, 2014, 10:54:43 PM
Is it possible for a fiat currency to backed by Bitcoin?

Very very very possible.

How about Zimbabwe?. They have huge issues with their official currency. I've bought their 1Trillion dollars note as a souvenir.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm Out on: April 03, 2014, 11:38:28 PM
"Papercoin" could be built on top of bitcoin. Like if bitcoin is gold, the "papercoin" - is like paper money. "Papercoin" transactions could be fast and insured at bitcoin exchanges, etc.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: I predict that btc will rise to $2000 by end of March 2014 on: April 03, 2014, 01:14:41 AM
I wish there were a way to bet on some of these predictions that didn't involve sending BTC to un-trustworthy online sites.

Anyone got any ideas?

56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you realize ... on: April 02, 2014, 10:29:50 PM
how stupid it is that a central bank (PBOC) can exercice such a power over bitcoinprices without even dumping themselves?
This selloff is actually pretty hillarious.

'central bank controls bitcoin price'

such fail

They have no choice. Their own currency is over-manipulated by the government. The fact that they started to ban bitcoin in China is a very good sign: without real threat they will not bother.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm Out on: April 02, 2014, 09:15:15 PM
silver to me is useless, just a space waster. bitcoin, i can totally send it to my peers anywhere in the world. i dont see myself getting rich in silver anyway

with silver you could wear a very thick cuban chain on your neck. What are you gonna wear having only bitcoins? A paper chain made of paper wallet?
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: I'm Out on: April 02, 2014, 09:12:35 PM
http://blockchain.info/charts/market-price
No telescope necessary. Everyone has their own idea on the future of bitcoins-and some of those are good ideas, backed by evidence. But the bottom line is that bitcoins are a FUNDAMENTALLY new "thing". Speculating on their future is, to an extent, just that.

From those charts.. But why the hashrate is still growing exponentially? Who accelerates mining despite falling marking price and why? Who can afford to drop the price down to tubes and continue increasingly mining an petahash rates?
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: [Reddit repost] BTCChina, OKCoin, FXBTC, BTC38 on: April 02, 2014, 08:51:19 PM
So this is it.  China gone, Mt Gox gone, general public trust gone.  We're going to see 100's again.  Undecided

If this happen, i will sell my house, wife, kids, arms, legs, 1 kidney and i am all in BTC!  Grin

.. and then it suddenly drops to $10.. .. but in the other hand, you still have 1 kidney left..
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin going up forever? on: April 01, 2014, 10:37:11 PM

Bitcoin will be going up forever.  Cheesy

even a prick cannot go up forever. it should go down sometimes.
