41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin versus Ether: the people difference is everything on: May 26, 2016, 04:34:41 PM
for all of this. Nobody can get hurt or manipulated to do anything...  Wink

Exactly, the lack of a single entity to put pressure on is a huge advantage. There are many thousands of leaders in Bitcoin.

I would have liked Craig Wright to be Satoshi, he would make a nice ambassador.

Cheesy At first I thought you were serious, but then I realized you're making a joke.. If not, I think you should do more reading and less broadcasting until the knowledge level increases a little.

If there were a single company that could be labeled the most evil and destructive to what Bitcoin represents, it would be Coinbase.

Exhibit A: http://www.coindesk.com/coinbase-co-founder-ethereum-blow-past-bitcoin/

They want to control the future of digital currencies so bad, once they found out the Core team wasn't interested in being controlled and they weren't able to force their altcoin clone on the community, they've found a project they can buy control of and are now pushing that over Bitcoin.  These people don't have the community's best interests in mind.  They want to rape digital currencies for profit and maintain control.  Nobody in the Bitcoin community should be sending them any business or using any of their services.  They are an embarrassment to what Bitcoin stands for.

I agree. I resolved not to use or recommend them anymore 1-2 years back. They certainly don't have Bitcoin's interest at heart. They are either just very greedy and short-sighted, or have some other agenda.

TPTB_need_war stop posting.

That would be great, Ignore works pretty well too.

Well done everyone Smiley Thank you devs!

Okay great. Here come the big guns. Bye, bye!

There is a reason we don't use consider.it to design space shuttles...

...but that reason is beyond the ken of Toominista contentious hard fork advocates.

Common sense, refreshing Smiley

Why in the world would you sell your bitcoins during a bull run?
Because you've ended up with over 90% of your net worth as bitcoin and you ought to diversify?

That's what you call a good problem  Shocked

The Moment when you know you are on the right path when bitter bitcoin skeptics strangely take sides in consensus changes when they have no stake in the battle.

"Academic interest in bitcoin only."

Why so many emotional and bitter outbursts instead of cool, collective, or humored observances?

This really says it all. Kind of fun to watch them grasping at straws.

It was fun troll-baiting however. When somebody has a rage blackout from being tipped BTC, you know you hit a very strange central banky nerve.
51  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: December 07, 2015, 12:20:10 PM
Woohoo! Up we go  Smiley

Btw, next time that shit-stirring troll (lambie/ezybella/whoever it is), I'll be ignoring straight away like usual. Interacting with somebody like that just shat up this thread, until somebody kindly cleaned house. Report post, click ignore, waste of time minimized.

How is it you don't have the balls to call me/make my life miserable?

Who would do something like that? Even if you disagree with them, that isn't what civilized people do..

The shills are losing the battle  Smiley

Their arguments are repetitive, obvious, and each time they post they get smashed out of the park by our resident shill-busters. Keep up the good work guys. I usually add ~2 shills/day to ignore, on average. I wonder how much they are getting paid for their sad effort.. Only the most dull-minded could read their posts and see anything but increasingly desperate attempts to derail the inevitable.

The identity of the one you all know as "lambie" and her many other sockpuppets is none other than Izabella Kaminska.

Her twitter is https://twitter.com/izakaminska

She is employed as a "journalist" by FT Alphaville.

She should have been more careful, but oh well, I am good at what I do and it probably wouldn't have stopped me if she had been.

Enjoy this gift I bring to you friends and sleep easy knowing that I will not do this to any of you as long as you don't engage in behavior similar to hers.

Yours Truly,
The Doxing

I sent her $50 via changetip, for her wise words which have helped guide me. And she blocked me from following her  Cry Why! I was only saying thank you for sharing her brilliant mind.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wall Observer BTC/USD - Bitcoin price movement tracking & discussion on: November 11, 2015, 05:37:00 PM

anything that smells like a rigged market with incredibly volatile moves that  only benefit the rich and powerful is dead on arrival for mainstreet ... maybe that's exactly what Wall St. wants with bitcoin (same as they did with gold and silver)?

And Blythe has shown up fairly recently. I've been thinking about this too lately. It's a system with unlimited resources, and BTC is a direct threat to their way of life. Expect them to go after it any way they can, similar to the way gold and silver are kept 'in check'. Doesn't mean it can't be won, just that it's a battle.
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Time to stand up to the XT shills here! on: November 09, 2015, 08:34:51 AM
Unfortunately as is once again shown in this topic - the issue of block size is being thought of as the issue of XT (and that was actually the reason behind my creating this topic as opposed to creating a topic about block size).

Quite simply it is not as their are numerous other options for increasing block size that don't involve XT at all and XT includes numerous things that are not to do with block size increasing (some of which are quite contentious).

What XT really is - is just a way for Mike Hearn to "take control of the Bitcoin project" (and he has admitted as much).

So if you are a supporter of XT then you are "not a supporter of big blocks" (as you should support any of the BIPs that will increase the block size) - you are actually a supporter of Mike Hearn becoming effectively the CEO of Bitcoin (and this is the antithesis of what Satoshi had described in his paper).

Exactly. Quoted for Truth.

Users "knight22" and "meono", and their ilk, don't posses any other skill they can use to earn a living.

So they must resort to shilling. Can you imagine dedicating your whole day to spreading lies?

What a pathetic existence they must live. When you look back on your life, will you feel proud for attempting to destroy one of the most positive developments mankind has ever seen?
58  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase is overstepping the bounds we should give it regarding Bitcoin XT on: November 08, 2015, 09:43:08 AM
Users "knight22" and "meono" , your shilling is obvious and pathetic. Anybody who thinks for themselves can see the truth.

It's sad you can't think of any other way to generate income for yourself but supporting those who are attempting to destroy something positive in this world. Do you not posses any other skills? Is this all you can offer this world? You can do better. What do you tell your family? Surely not that you spread lies for the highest bidder. What else do you spread for the highest bidder.

May you examine your conscience and way of life and think about what you're doing.
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Coinbase is overstepping the bounds we should give it regarding Bitcoin XT on: November 08, 2015, 09:23:22 AM
I've withdrawn all remaining holdings at Coinbase, and won't be using their services again.
60  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: I successfully double spended $400 of Bitcoin today on: October 06, 2015, 01:06:09 PM
It happened to me, but corrected itself automatically within about 6-8 hours.

I sent from Blockchain.info wallet to a Trezor wallet, both my addresses. Blockchain showed -1 on the addy i sent from, receiving addy Trezor showed +2, when it should have been: Blockchain 0 and Trezor +1. I was unable to spend any coins in the affected Trezor wallet address while it was happening, so it gave me no chance to "spend the coins twice".
