41  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: [WORK IN PROGRESS] How to use `ord` to make Bitcoin Ordinals on: February 26, 2023, 10:13:31 PM
This looks interesting. Does it matter if BitcoinCore is running on pruned mode or not ?
42  Other / Meta / Re: Auto merge back-to-back comments on: February 26, 2023, 09:11:36 PM
Sorry, must have missed that part.
The mobile issue is annoying. The best option I see for that is to quote only selected text. So if you have some text selected the quote button or the "insert quote" from the reply page would add only selected text.

That would mean a fair bit of coding from theymos though and unfortunately I don't see it happening too soon.

The auto merge feature might need some tweaks in the activity, merit and pagination "modules" so actually might be more of a hassle.

That's just my two cents...

Most of the times the intention is good but the implementation is lacking.
What are the exact problems you want to solve with this ? And we can take it from there.
44  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Doing some work for Saxydev, Earned $90 but Never received the Payment.  on: February 26, 2023, 02:12:38 AM
You throw around pretty loaded words. Went from drama queen to keyboard warrior in 2.5 seconds. Interesting to see there is so much venom in that little head of yours.

Let's get some things straight:

- I don't know and really don't care who coincollector12 is. Don't care much about your opinion on the matter but thought to reiterate this anyway
- Supporting the flag c0ldbrewz made does not seem relevant to anyone apparently. Even though it's the main reason of this thread.
- If opposing the flag dkbit made against saxydev, related solely to that bet, makes me a scam supporter than that should say more about you than it does about me. When there are different cases, even when talking about the same person, one might not default to "guilty" everytime.
You for example: there were cases where I did agree with what you said and you seemed like a lucid and cerebral person. But also others where you do a 180 and turn into an ass licking two faced drama queen pajeet.

Can you tell me why do you want to buy some BTC ? We all know why you should but I want to see what your though process is.  Smiley
46  Other / Meta / Re: Auto merge back-to-back comments on: February 25, 2023, 01:10:19 PM
The idea at face value is good.

But there are lots of IFs and corner cases to consider.

Just a few off the top of my head:
- OP when he wants/needs one or two reserved posts right after OP
- too much text to fit in a single post (as LoyceV said)
- when OP decides to lock the thread and adds one more post mentioning the reason and sometimes the link for the new thread.

Not sure how to treat each of these situations so probably that's the main reason things are still done manually.

There can be many partial solutions... like the "reply" button becoming inactive if you are the last one who posted, or merge the posts, or many more. But pretty hard to come up with complete solutions.

Nice initiative though...

Hey guys ! Is the ignore function working for you?
Looked like I added the username to the ignore list but still receive notifications about his posts.
Thanks !

Indeed, I'm waiting for an answer as well but since Rizzrack obviously had a clown for breakfast:
...burp !

he has finally sent a Merit to coincollector12 (archived)  Lips sealed

Why bother archiving something that cannot be undone ?

Since it's currently impossible to prove if coincollector12 is an alt of Rizzrack, only he knows if it's his alt or not.
For sure: undoubtedly, there are sooo many similarities...  Lips sealed
After all, there's still a possibility: coincollector12 could prove us wrong if he would reveal his main account. Are you going to prove us wrong by posting from your main account?  Cool

I know I'm not !

To be fair there certainly are some similarities between us but not for the reasons you suspect !
@coincollector12 let's meet and get some beers. Always a pleasure to discuss with people that have the same mindset Grin shoot me a PM if you want. I'm buying ! (this offer is limited to 2 dozen beers. Just so I don't get a flag of my own for not fulfilling my pinky promises)

For fuck sake dude !!! I'm starting to believe them !

wow. really wow. sent pm to someone i trust from the forum with the details, he can confirm or not, depends if he wants to get involved in this thread. up to him. locally i don't store the key any more, but i had the intuition to restore the drive to get it back a few weeks ago and got it saved.

At this point it's irrelevant who YOU trust. Should have sent that to someone others trust like LoyceV. He actually offered...

...dumb shitpost...

No use arguing with someone who gets paid to reply so... welcome to the ignore list. Get comfortable ! It's gonna be a while  Roll Eyes
52  Other / Meta / Re: Report Malware and Suspicious Links here so Mods can take Action ! on: February 13, 2023, 08:59:01 PM
Has it been scanned or is anymore information available about whether not it is malware and if so, what kind/specifications?

According to any.run it's a remcos trojan
Any.run is a "malware hunting service" that provides free VMs where you can download and deploy the malware file and it is analysed.
53  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with saxydev; he is a scammer on: February 12, 2023, 09:57:30 PM
Do you understand this? It does not matter if you are his alt or not.

Is Rizzrack willing to give you some Merit or would he commit Merit abuse?  Tongue

54  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Withdrawing Bitcoin off the radar on: February 12, 2023, 09:05:45 PM
I've accumulated this sum of bitcoin through a variety of sources. I haven't bought a single one. Theoretically, isn't this income something that should be declared? I'm talking about the whole amount of coins.

I think they should be declared, even though that is often a debatable subject.
What you will pay comes down to the national policy.
In Romania I can just say it was earned through trading and will be taxed 10% capital gains tax and depending on the amount another 200-600 EURO on top for some other taxes. Not the same as income tax. Income tax is about 45% in Romania so it better not be Smiley))

If in Greece it's 15% than I don't see any reason for you to pay much more than that.

Banks are another touchy subject. Most do require proof of funds, some block accounts etc. Can't give you much advice on that front I'm afraid.

To be fair I am lucky because I know and trust a guy I call when I need to buy some FIAT with crypto. Mainly does P2P trading for a living and his services were/are used by many people I know. So would trust him even with bigger amounts, even if my average is a few hundred euros once in a full moon...

You gotta get a guy ! It's hard, he may not live close... but is worth it in the long run.

Also changing your financial residency at some point may be worth looking into but consult a professional for more info.
55  Local / Offtopic / Re: Agregator date Firme Romania Monitor Firme on: February 12, 2023, 06:26:11 PM

Bafta !

...

All I can say is that some people can share a certain thought process. Though to be fair... I read your post after I edited mine (because I noticed that quote from 1miau in Newsletter's post) and I almost believed it myself that we were alts  Cheesy

Keep it real Mini-Me !
57  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with saxydev; he is a scammer on: February 12, 2023, 12:52:03 PM
Was writing a reply but changed my mind and deleted it.

This is a thread about saxydev. If you have anything to say about me open a reputation/scam accusation about me.

Until then:

P.S. some clarifications are in order though:

In addition it's a bit weird that such a flag really gets opposition. It's not a good showing to side with a scammer...

My reasoning is that this flag was created ONLY regarding the issues between dkbit and saxydev. Not any additional accusations that have or will be posted in the thread. As I mentioned before: if it becomes clear that c0ldbrewz was not paid for his services and HE creates a flag for that I will definitely support.

Just wanted to reiterate this in case anything was unclear.
58  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with saxydev; he is a scammer on: February 12, 2023, 02:01:55 AM
First of all I want to say sorry in advance if I quote some of you that did not want to further participate in this thread !

This is the first time you took part in the opposition while no other DT took part in the opposition of the flag while the flag is active.

Or you have been smoking the same stuff like saxydev since you are the single person in the entire forum who is opposing my flag against this clown Tongue
He actually owed money to another member before (and one more now), so this is not first accusation against him, but I guess you didn't read everything carefully.

This thread was initially made the smear saxydev's service. I don't know if you can find it cheaper somewhere else. Or free or whatever... At the end of the day I believe it's not a scam. As long as he does what he says he does. I might not want or need such a service but some might. I fail to see the scam.

After that did not hold much water it was shifted 180 degrees to the back and forth dkbit had with him and the words "Wanna bet I am wright?".
I understand dkbit might frequent the gambling section of the forum more than I do, but as some other users mentioned before me :

you never expected to be paid 0.1 Bitcoin for this, right?

Come on, you didn't realistically expected him to pay, didn't you?

So personally I do not find that a binding contract that would convince me to support your flag. You can say it was inpulse. Some might not care. But I fail to see the damages incurred by dkbit.
This is the way I see the situation.
Why do you care if or what I smoke ? I am free to make my own judgement. Can be good, can be bad... but it's mine!

And c0ldbrewz came into the picture after you created that flag. Don't mix them (as I previously mentioned)

If not, I would advise opening a separate scam accusation thread so the info does not get mixed.

But alas, they are now mixed.

If c0ldbrewz provides some more proof and creates a flag I might support that one. But not yours dkbit, regardless of how much or what I smoke ! sorry
59  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with saxydev; he is a scammer on: February 11, 2023, 06:48:57 PM
This could be the first legit claim in this entire thread...

Yeah, excepting all the other ones which were also legit. Meaning all other claims ever made inside this topic.

Let's agree to disagree... as always  Wink
60  Economy / Scam Accusations / Re: Be careful with saxydev; he is a scammer on: February 11, 2023, 03:44:28 PM
i've screenshot-ed all of our convo to proof it,
but for now i'm gonna keep it for myself (at least for few days),
just in case he still want to resolve this matter.

It's good you have some proof ! Hope it gets solved !

If not, I would advise opening a separate scam accusation thread so the info does not get mixed.
