Thank you everyone for taking such an interest in the campaign, if you have evidence of someone abusing a signature campaign and you'd like to see action taken against them report them here.

42  Economy / Reputation / Report a Signature Campaign Spammer! on: June 10, 2019, 12:16:13 PM
Have you seen someone in a signature campaign making posts with little to no value on threads? Publicly report them here!

Together as a community we can make a change! It's time to take Bitcointalk back!

Any form of a paid signature campaign on any forum is fundamentally encouraging people to post for no reason other than to profit. Since Bitcointalk is well known for it's wide selection of signature campaigns to join, it's to no surprise there's such a large amount of posts with little to no constructive value. It's time we crack down on all signature campaign abusers and report them here to be reviewed by the campaign managers. Maybe Bitcointalk won't ever fully be restored to what it once was but it doesn't mean we have to let things continue to spiral downwards at the rate they currently are.

Signature campaigns are like fuel for the forum

Ever since cryptocurrencies became mainstream more and more crypto businesses have been launching. With more crypto businesses comes more signature campaigns and naturally with more signature campaigns comes more potential low quality posts. However, we can't deny signature campaigns are beneficial to the forum if utilised correctly because they give people incentive to stay here and make posts. If we want to pull Bitcointalk out of this rut the first step is to use this thread to report all people who wear a paid signature and make low quality posts. It's impossible to have a signature campaign without at least some forced posts for money to meet the week's required minimum. There's too many people here only for signature campaigns but without the campaigns the forum would take a big hit. The staff & mods are working hard but it doesn't mean we shouldn't be doing our part to help out too.

The problems I've found as the Stake.com signature campaign manager

I've been managing the Stake.com signature campaign and I admit I've accepted some low quality posters because I assumed anyone who was capable of achieving a rank such as Senior member or higher without being banned was credible enough to be given a chance. This has proven to not be the case. A big problem I see is after I remove someone from the campaign they simply move on to another signature campaign. Sure it eliminates the problem for me in the short term but the problem continues into Bitcointalk in the long term. When we have so many low quality posters with high credentials such as being Legendary it makes me wonder how they even got to this rank in the first place.

Bitcointalk is suffocating. Let's bring it back to life!

Anyone who can say "this is our forum" needs to unite and put an end to this problem now! Report anyone here that's posting for a signature campaign and doing more harm than good. Through a community effort we'll clean out the forum and create an environment where Bitcointalk can grow the right way!

Example report post:

Bitcointalk username:
From campaign:
Accusation:
Evidence:

If we want to see the best results use evidence that is indisputable and not subjective
Please no reporting anyone for personal reasons! Let's keep this honest and effective, remember the goal!

I hear what you saying about the fixed price but you were paying 100k for hero when btc was 4k now btc is 8k that is double so it should be 50k but it is 37k that is 3x less.
Just saying...

I'm not the one who complains about the rewards, either you get out or remain, but I want to remain in Stake.com but Steve please give consideration about the rate the computation is less than 3 times less like what Mike Mayor stated 70k for hero and 50k for senior like me is ok

or if you want it in dollar

$5 for hero/legendary and $3.50 is acceptable, I hope you can consider this option, but I will respect whatever decision you come out on this.

I think it's important to remember I was going to make this change when Bitcoin first passed 4k but I figured okay we'll give a bonus for a bit it's still uncertain where btc is going, then btc went to 5k, 6k, 7k, 8k and now even higher. I was giving thousands of dollars to the campaign members for free every single week, it couldn't last forever. I almost feel if I made the decision to counter the Bitcoin price fluctuation weeks ago some people would be happier even though they'd have less money right now. It's really just an illusion if anyone is upset right now because in that situation described people would be happier having made less money. Expecting wages to go up at the rate Bitcoin does for no reason other than btc is rising is insane and I thought I was doing something good for everyone by allowing that for this amount of time.
Your campaign is tied for having the lowest rates (by far), effectively pays for an unlimited number of posts, and is well known for producing large amounts of spam/low quality posts/nonsense.

IMO, there is a clear inverse relationship between pay rates and the quality of posts your advertising campaign is going to produce. I don't know why you would think someone who is going to put a lot of effort into their posts would want to participate in your campaign. Other campaigns pay >10x as much as yours, and has post maximums of 40-55 posts, that most people wont hit anyway.

You require payments to a stake.com account, I presume to detect when someone tries to enroll multiple accounts in your campaign, but doing so would be pointless anyway because I doubt many people even reach 10% of the maximum payout each week.

I remember the days in 2014, shortly after some new business stated accepting bitcoin, there would be multiple threads about the subject that would contain pages upon pages, upon pages of posts that said some iteration of "this is great news" and "too the moon" and the like, and most of these pages would be filled with those wearing PrimeDice advertisements in their signature. Today's situation is not quite that bad, but it is comparable.

You're forgetting I'm paying for posts on every section of Bitcointalk including off topic and all those other sections nobody else will pay for. This also doesn't take into consideration the amount of bonuses and contests that go into the group. In the end it's easily worth it because we aren't telling you where you have to post and giving a minimum post count per week, if people want to take a break for a week that's fine. A ton of this campaign is also getting a 25% bonus for their posts from the avatar. It's not hard to profit when people can make $5-$50 or more for 1 post every week from contests. We also don't demand personal text space you can put that however you want or get a bonus for using ours. Stake.com signature campaign #1!  Smiley

about the problem I'm experiencing on the telegram I'm not even sure if he read my message. anyway I'll be withdrawing my application.

Good luck to the campaign!!!

Added you into the campaign Smiley  sorry for the inconvenience, the problem was Telegram not allowing messages to be sent. Going through a bunch of the applications right now as well for people waiting

I did calculate it, there's more money being put into the campaign for the same members now than there would have been at the start
We are hoping some change happens to the payrate even a little bit.

This payrate will be fair for everyone.

Hero/Legendary - $6 per 10 posts

Sr. member - $4 per 10 posts

Full member - $3-2 per 10 posts

Jr/Member - $1 per 10 posts

Why don't you just message me from your real account if you want me to debate it with you? Your last post is from January 2018 and the moment I post the change in Telegram you're here so it makes me believe you're in the campaign posting from a secondary account now

Pay rates

Hero/Legendary - $3 per 10 posts

Sr. member - $2 per 10 posts

Full member - $1 per 10 posts

Jr/Member - 50¢ per 10 posts

What happened to the payments? You said in TG that this is the pay rate if you will convert the current payrate to usd. But this is not.

Stake.com Signature Campaign

A new kind of campaign

Why this campaign is better than the rest
Technically this is not a unique campaign anymore.

You mean I said "pay rates converted to original usd price" and to make sure everyone reads the new updates on the thread

I'm just wondering if Bitcoin went to 100k were the few people complaining expecting the price of the campaign to just keep going up with it? And being equally fair if Bitcoin went back to $100 you'd see people earning a lot more Bitcoin. It's the same campaign as when started but better contests and less post requirements. If Bitcoin was crashing and we didn't up the price to make up for it everyone would be unhappy so there's no difference

The line is still huge for people trying to get in even with this "change" so we're still expanding

EDIT: This is just a problem Bitcoin faces as currency due to extreme price fluctuation. The price of Bitcoin changes nothing but the price of Bitcoin, and maybe a few other coins lol
53  Economy / Services / Re: Stake.com - A signature campaign for everyone! Earn up to 0.1 BTC weekly on: May 24, 2019, 05:39:43 PM
You can cherry pick one part of the message if you choose but let's not forget all this below and the $100s of dollars in weekly contests and bonuses. If Bitcoin dropped to 1k then we'd still be paying the same in usd just like at the start if anything the campaign pays more than everyone originally agreed to still. Just because Bitcoin triples in 2 seconds doesn't mean the price of everything else goes up with it haha

You can submit up to 5 of your posts every week from the section Gambling. The top 5 people with the highest quality posts will win!

1st - $35
2nd - $25
3rd - $20
4th - $10
5th - $5

Requirements
  • 3 posts per thread maximum (you can of course do more but they won't count towards the campaign)
  • No minimum posts per week
  • 30+ characters per post
  • Constructive posts only (no spamming)
  • Wear signature & avatar

Bonus Rewards!
  • Make at least 20 posts in the section gambling and get a free .001 BTC added to your total pay!
  • Make at least 20 posts in Bitcoin Discussion and get another free .0005 BTC!
  • Over $300 in weekly contests!
  • Get a free .0001 BTC weekly by setting your personal text to: Free Crypto in Stake.com Telegram t.me/StakeCasino
  • Bonus rewards are not required and are here for those who want to take advantage of them
But do you think all the participants win?  So it is useless if the bonus is very high because only few left will get. The problem is the payrate don't change the topic bro!

Yes there is a contest where the number of winners has no limit and all bonuses everyone can win

EDIT: There's actually one bonus not everyone can win and it's the 25% bonus pay for animated avatars because you can't set those anymore, easily the best campaign since you can post in any topic you choose and you don't have to worry about being kicked if you can't post that week

Left the campaign before the bad news came in. The rates are ridiculously low. From about $7-$8 per 10 posts down to $3. Looks like many participants will leave.

And they won't let users even discuss these issues in the telegram group because it would be considered spamming.

It hasn't changed anything so far. The price didn't drop it just went back to what it was before Bitcoin randomly went 3k to 8k+ so there's no difference at all plus all the contests and bonuses on top of it
