41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What we were dreaming, now is the reality! on: January 17, 2021, 03:41:03 AM
IMO most of the dreams come true. $20k, $30k, $40k... $50k maybe?

I never dreamed about mass adoption as I know it's impossible until you can make crypto work as easy as our grandparents can use it.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Some important tips about the bitcoin market on: January 15, 2021, 05:04:25 AM
My advice to friends (based on experience)

1.Buy as much as you can
2.Buy on the floor, but do not wait for correction or fall.
3.Do not do anything for the price of tetra and dollars…
4.If it comes down to a short time that you bought at a reasonable price….
5.If it comes down in the long run and stays that you did not lose in the long run, everything will be cheaper than the dollar.
6.Do not act emotionally… Wherever you say to buy or sell… you are more likely to lose

If you have any suggestions, let us all know so we can use this experience.
Thanks Wink

I agree with you about fiat-crypto comparison after you bought it.

But IMO a man should buy only the amount he's ready to lose! This is an investment as anything else, and we shouldn't be reckless!
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC ) No:1 In coinmarketcap website. | Glitch? on: January 15, 2021, 04:09:18 AM
Wrapped Bitcoin (WBTC ) seems to be number 1 in cmc website.  is this a glitch?  what is going on??  Huh

Of course, it's a glitch - check the market cap numbers.

432 quadrillions market cap - there isn't so much cash on this world. Imagine buying bread with 1 000 000 000 USD Cheesy
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Will 2021 become the year of the Lightning Network? on: January 15, 2021, 02:56:45 AM
I think I never used the Lightning Network for something meaningful beside some small experiments. I don't see where to use it.

IMO nothing will change for LN in 2021. It's a good idea but still has a low adoption.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 25% of crypto users not securing assets as well as they think on: January 14, 2021, 04:17:33 AM
What comfort results for a "Cryptocurrency hardware wallet manufacturer", yet believable.

IMO the percentage of people not properly storing crypto is higher. Even I'm not storing everything by the book. Recently I found 0.03 staying in a long-time forgotten wallet. When I left it there, 0.03 was worth under $90, now it's over $1000.
46  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: China: Bitcoin a hedge against confiscation of wealth? on: January 14, 2021, 03:00:54 AM
Here is a fascinating Forbes article about how the potential for confiscation of wealth by the authoritarian regime in China may be boosting Bitcoin, inspired by the mysterious disappearance of businessman Jack Ma.

"One can almost see Chinese billionaires buying up Bitcoin, just in case Beijing comes for their wealth. Lord knows the dollar is in decline, and they probably already own a ton of stocks."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/kenrapoza/2021/01/10/does-china-have-a-role-in-bitcoins--rise/?sh=6bf595a64965

This also touches on how Argentinians are buying Bitcoin after the government's crackdown on holding dollars.

Ultimately, these are cases that echo some of the original objectives for Bitcoin, rather than as a get rich quick scheme. Although no harm in getting rich in the process Smiley

This sounds plausible. And it's not a bad idea at all, especially after the official start of the Chinese Social Rating System.

If Jack Ma can disappear, imagine what could happen to the ordinary people.
47  Economy / Exchanges / Re: Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more! on: January 13, 2021, 04:14:59 AM
Govts would want to regulate exchanges much more!

Bitcoin is now hitting to $40K. Governments will take Bitcoin seriously and will regulate the exchanges much more as many US pensioners having money in the form of Bitcoin among them many are US soldiers, lawyers or government officials. Many of them keep their money on exchanges. Therefore governments may take it seriously just to save the funds of their employees and their peoples.

It's normal, and Govs are now hungry for fresh cash (taxes) with all the free covid printed money.

That's why we have to use more DEXs instead of centralized and regulated exchanges and to keep our coins in our wallets. IMO exchanges should be used only one-way ->  deposit - trade - back in your own wallet.
48  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Attention: Biden has officially won, make sure your sportsbook pay you. on: January 13, 2021, 02:19:20 AM
If the sportbook says they have to wait til Biden swears auth. I think this is also the ultimate proof that he really won lol

They still could find an issue about this, after all, there will be riots and US government will likely have crisis there. The sportsbook could delay by an excuse like if Biden still hasn't officially sat there and stayed on the Whitehouse, he isn't the president and no one yet won lol.

Congress certified Joe Biden's victory - that's the ultimate proof. Everything else is delaying the inevitable and hurting the bookmakers' reputation. This is a good way to check which bookmakers are okay and which to avoid in the future.
49  Economy / Speculation / Re: Wait for the dump on: January 12, 2021, 03:36:13 AM
Nope, it's not gonna repeat 2017. Now, the market conditions are completely different because you have institutional investors, global media coverage, and more. I find it normal, the price cannot go only in one direction.
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: ETH’s “top” this market cycle? on: January 12, 2021, 01:51:19 AM
Ethereum has “woken” from its long slumber and risen 2.5x (250%) from its price of $400 USD in Sept/Oct 20 to over $1,000 USD in the last few days with a parabolic rise! It seems like only a matter of time until ETH surpasses its ATH from Jan 2018 of $1,450 USD which would be a 3.5x rise (350%) from Sept/Oct, and optimistically I can envisage it’s price rising to $4,000 USD in the ‘altcoin season’ of 2021 that has now started which would be a 10x rise (1,000%) from its price in Sept/Oct 20 for potentially life changing profits if you’re in now! But does anyone think ETH can go to $50K USD as Ivan On Tech predicated quite emphatically yesterday in his daily Youtube broadcast (watch from 9mins in to 10.5 mins) https://youtu.be/QoQyzAekIa8 - which would be an incredible 125x rise (12,500%) from the Sept/Oct price of $400 USD, and a 500x rise (5,000%) from the current price of $1,000 USD as this altcoin bull market of 2021 starts! Was he joking? (he didn’t seem to be), as he high? (umm who knows but he seemed on cue and on the ball orherwise), was he mistaken meaning $5k and not $50K (no he was adamant about this saying first that ETH would definitely go to $20K this cycle which was BTC’s peak in the last cycle, and then after a moments consideration predicting for 15 secs+ that he believed ETH would probably go much higher to 50K+ in this market cycle which would be MORE than life changing and make even the mega-rich envious of the wealth created!💰).

What do others here think of this speculation which seems incredible and unbelievable but who knows - do you think a $50K USD ETH top in this market cycle is crazy talk, or do you think it’s a wildly optimistic possibility with DeFi that’s going to be huge in 2021 running 95% on ETH and with ETH 2.0 offering the promise of massive scalability just in time hopefully to save the day from the “ETH-killers”! Thoughts? ....

It seems that Ether is following Bitcoin again in today's crash and alts continue to struggle bigger in market dips.

IMO we will have to wait for a real alts season.
51  Economy / Gambling / Re: Win 0.01 BTC on HashLoot.com!! on: January 12, 2021, 01:24:58 AM
Hello  Sahab,

I have a few issues with your lottery.

1) Blockchain fees on every bet

2) Trust

If you want to progress, make it trustless, based on smart-contract. This will solve at least the trust issue.
52  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bit Coin dropped 12% since morning ,where is it going? on: January 11, 2021, 03:42:37 AM
It dropped another $2000 since I posted that minutes ago.

IMO we are entering the period of the roller coaster. I expect to see many +/- $2000-$3000 in upcoming months. But I don't think anyone can predict the sequence of these moves.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: How do you usually find a new investment oppertunities/projects? on: January 11, 2021, 02:21:07 AM

I am new to the crypto space and have missed out on many opportunities in DeFi. So how do you usually find a new project? From where? Thanks

Well as @BigBoy89 mentioned the forum itself is the best place to know about a new project. The other best resource is to check for new projects on big exchanges like Binance and Kucoin. They have their own launch pad and as they are on big exchange most of the project do perform well when listed.

Usually, when you find a project listed in a big exchange like Binance or Kucoin, it's already pumped. IMO the biggest profits are when you manage to finds a good project in the seed or pre-sale/private sale stages.

54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who Benefited from AME Token? on: January 10, 2021, 04:28:36 AM
The day I had been waiting for has come and i sold my ame tokens after a long wait. I got profit from this token. I know many of the people sell their tokens an get benefit. One thing i must say that AME is good tokens behind this team is working v hard for the project and Project have some potential thats why price not dumps as we expect that After listing price go down to 0.005 but results are totally different .

I profited from AME and I hope I will continue to. I'm in their campaigns, but I also managed to buy cheap AME from other hunters before the Bithumb listing, so I sold those cheap AME for a good profit while still holding my campaign tokens.

56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Silver-backed tokens, anyone? on: January 10, 2021, 03:03:56 AM
Silver price is much more unstable and silver, like metal, is much less appreciated. Still, I would like to see a real silver-backed token as I was investing in silver bullions in the past.

But REAL silver-backed, with certifications and stored reserves, etc. Not silver-backed only on paper.
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Development of a new DeFi project Idea! on: January 10, 2021, 02:17:22 AM
OP, could you post more details?

IMO there are enough Defi/Wallet projects, and we must know how you will differ from the gazilli onother projects?
58  Economy / Auctions / Re: Donation auction - the winnet gets 12 COVID related domains! on: January 09, 2021, 01:44:14 AM
Ok, I'm closing this topic.

As it looks like, nobody wants these domains even when you don't have to send me any money, but make a donation instead.

If anybody reconsiders - PM me.
59  Economy / Trading Discussion / Re: If you're bad at trading crypto, forex might be easier on: January 09, 2021, 01:29:27 AM
There are a lot more "patterns" in forex that seem to make sense based on my own strategy so I'd recommend if people are having issues trading crypto with larger swings coming, you might want to move across.

You can always still use your profits to buy bitcoin at certain points (eg once a week).

I was looking at this in advance for when I need to find something to do if bitcoin starts crashing again (it hurts to see something fundamentally bullish and innovafing fall rapidly and turn investors away so I just ignore it).

Totally agree with you!

IMO Bitcoin (and other cryptos) markets are run much more on speculations than "patterns".

My solution is: Crypto = arbitrages, Forex = trading.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Play smart, set exit points, take profit, re-enter on: January 09, 2021, 01:00:30 AM
Good on theory, bad on practice for the past 30 days results.

IMO the current turbulent market conditions are not allowing selling and re-entering at a lower price.
