Jumping in for the long haul on this one for sure!  I joined all of the bounties I qualified for.

Looking forward to when LCD is available on TokenMarket & Nebula!

44  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN] Bitcoin Candy - Fork 1:1000 of Bitcoin Cash on: January 13, 2018, 10:34:57 PM
I'm pissed I didn't follow through to get at least 1000 CDY, I probably just lost out on 5-10k eventually.  I dunno it just seemed like it had bad press, but I don't know what I was thinking!  Hardforks should never be passed up, collect and cold store.

I hope this fork takes off to serve me a lesson - TAKE ALL AIR DROPS & FORKS!!!
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Help setting up Ledger Nano S & alt coins on: January 12, 2018, 11:16:15 PM
Ok so I have the Nano S already setup and just have a few questions.

First of all, when using MyEtherWallet.com to access my Nano S, when I'm viewing a particular ETH wallet under "View Wallet Info" I see the public address, but do not see any private key.

Is this how every single wallet stored on my Nano S will be, with no private key showing/needed because the Nano S ITSELF is the private key for all of these wallets it would store on it?

Will that continue to be the case for newly created MEW or other various alt wallets, or just the ones that were installed on the Nano S by default and any newly created MEW or the like will actually have a visible private key?

From what I understand, you can pretty much add any ERC-20 token to the Nano S, you just have to manually enter all of the ERC-20 token info into a newly created MEW from a website like ethplorer.io - is that correct?

Are all of the ETH wallets pre-installed on the Nano ERC-20 compliant, or MUST a ERC-20 wallet be created through MyEtherWallet.com and then added onto the Nano?

I see all of the various Nano Ledger approved alt coin apps through the google chrome app, but this is still a very small list.

So how do I cold store all of the other alt coins that aren't on Ledger's list, are past the ERC-20 token ICO stage and have their own legit coins now?  Do I just have to leave all of those on the exchanges?  This step worries me as most of my holdings are everything other than what Ledger has already approved lol

I  know for whatever reason the Nano S only allows 4 apps installed at one time, I  assume this has to do with the onboard memory these things have.  Why didn't they just make them a little more capacity, memory is so cheap there's really no excuse for it, especially for a $100+ item in  this day & age.

So once you add one coin onto the Nano S through an app & then the Nano S updates the blockchain showing it holds X coins in one of it's onboard wallets, you can then remove the app and add another coin and everything is safe because it has been updated on the blockchain and the Nano S is actually the PRIVATE key to access the public wallet stored onto the blockchain with your coins?  Is all of that correct?  Or is the public key & therefore your coins also physically stored on the Nano S?

Do I need to close out of the Nano like I  do a normal USB drive to make sure I  don't corrupt any data?
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new upcoming tokens focused on Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality? on: January 12, 2018, 05:46:20 AM
Ugh I'm so pissed I didn't get VIBE when it was a penny!!

Does anyone know any other VR or AR related coins that are around a penny?  I'm looking to buy 100's of thousands of them at that rate.

SO MAD about VIBE!!
47  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 11:18:02 PM
Ok yeah I have heard about bounties and haven't looked too deep into them, but if you say they are above airdrops, that makes me extremely interested in doing that as well.

Is there a website to find and track bounties like airdropalert.com?  What about a particular sub-forum here?

Is there a difference between a fork & a hardfork?

Is there ever speculation on what the anticipated price of an airdrop is going to be?

For instance, Bitcoin Candy is coming up in 3 days and you need 1 BCH at $2800 to get 1000 CDY - so what could these be worth?  $1?  $5?  10 cents?
48  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 10:50:38 PM
Dude that website is awesome!  You ROCK!!
49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 10:19:52 PM
Here click "watch" and "notify" in this thread https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1438371.0 this thread generaly give you all airdrop in ann section into one thread. Actually not all of them but its good enough to know news without need to browse entire subforum.

Yes even more fine tuned, exactly what I was looking for, thank you!

How often do these various forks happen between bitcoin and alt coins?
50  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 10:06:11 PM
Ok great, thank you!  Is there a way to setup any type of notifications on here that filters through all of the other announcements, or do I just have to actively watch that sub-forum all the time?

I'm doing as much research as I can and doing this damn near 24/7, trying to get as good at crypto as I can without missing any opportunities, by being as efficient and auto-mated as I can set myself up to be.

And since this is in the Alt coin sub-forum, are Bitcoin related forks mentioned here or do I need to watch another sub-forum for those?

An Airdrop is just the delivery method of a fork once it is created right?
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Airdrops & Forks - how to take advantage? on: January 10, 2018, 09:43:46 PM
So I really want to start taking advantage of all of these airdrops and forks, does anyone know of any resource or something that tracks these kinds of things?  Is there a sub forum on this website perhaps?

Can anyone give advice on how to find the next airdrop and fork and how to take advantage of it?

I know Segwit2x or whatever just happened, or did it?  It was on, off, on, off & maybe back on again?  Are things like this possible scams or why do they keep scheduling to fork and then canceling so again and again?
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it normal for ICO prices to drop once they're listed on the exchange? on: December 16, 2017, 08:39:35 AM
Yeah but if you believe in the project that is a great thing and a great time to buy.  Oyster dropped after the ICO followed by an 800% rebound before stabilizing.  Just invest and hold the coins.

Yes I completely agree and this is my plan.  Someone mentioned a 6 month window after the ICO when prices will be low - I will be buying certain coins as heavy as I can for the next 6 months.

We're just getting started ladies & gentlemen!

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Is it normal for ICO prices to drop once they're listed on the exchange? on: December 16, 2017, 08:17:08 AM
it's very normal for prices to drop. you'll find that most bounty holders will drop which in turn drops the price but you tend to find people that have been following the projects then buy in at low prices and look at holding longer term until the prices stabilise.

Always after completion of ICO and the release of the tokens to the exchange, their price falls sharply due to the fact that many bounty hunters sell them for quick profits. Investors then need to wait a long time when the tokens will make a profit.

These are EXACTLY the opportunities I am looking for.  There are a handful of VR/AR related coin ICO's happening right now and I will be waiting and ready to buy them all when they drop on the exchange and hold for long term.

Thanks for the clarification guys.

Also, I need to get in on this bounty program, sounds awesome lol.  Is there a lot of "work" behind getting these free tokens?  Every ICO will have free bounty tokens?  What is usually required to acquire these freebies?
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to automate buy & sell trading? on: December 16, 2017, 07:56:09 AM
So with all of this volatility, there is a lot of opportunity constantly buying & selling throughout the day.

So can anyone suggest a great exchange to easily setup a buy & sell trading automation schedule?

This is all new to me, so I'm trying to learn my way here.  But I know this is the type of day trading I would like to get into with crypto.

Thanks.
Bittrex. If you have a bot that can make trades for you then you might have a lot of people wanting to purchase what you have if you have enough money for it.

Are you saying have I created a bot that can makes trades for me?  I have NOT created a bot, interested in using Gunbot or AiX in the very near future.

What will people want to purchase from me if I have enough money for it?
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Any new upcoming tokens focused on Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality? on: December 15, 2017, 05:38:49 AM
I'm in VOXELS !
Looking very promising  for 2018  Grin

Yes I looked into this, I am going to try and include it in my VR/AR portfolio for sure!

I'm obsessed with Virtual Reality & Augmented Reality and now that obsession also includes cryptocurrency lol.  So I might as well try to marry these two and hopefully cash in on the future.

So does anyone know of any tokens that are currently going on or are in planning phases to launch an ICO focused within the fields of Virtual Reality or Augmented Reality?

https://www.augmentorsgame.com/  should show us alpha any day now.  ICO finished in beggining of year and game should be finished at end of next year.

Dude that looks pretty cool just on a website, the game might be killer!  So what is the ticker for their coins?  I'd like to add some before the game comes out maybe.

I’ve been in the Spectiv campaign for a while, and I have a lot faith in their development.

What is Spectiv doing different that say Steam isn't going to attempt, or already has available?  Just more open and free-project?  I realize Spectiv is also working on it's own marketing project and in-community pay system, I have't read the rest of the white paper yet, only like a 1/3.  So much info to take in lately, good lord lol I need a Matrix style jack to the back of my brain lol
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to automate buy & sell trading? on: December 14, 2017, 07:41:49 PM
How does this upcoming AiX compare to gunbot?

https://aix.trade/
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to automate buy & sell trading? on: December 14, 2017, 07:03:59 PM
Damn I want gunbot for sure!!!

but I can't afford it for quite a while sadly.  I'm only working with around $1000 right now in crypto, diversified pretty well for the most part, except a little heavy in XRP right now, but were at serious gains on it.

I wish they offered a monthly subscription price to make it easier for the average guy.

Is gunbot really with the $1300-$1700 it costs to get it?  What makes it that much better over an exchanges built in & free API for autotrading?
58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to automate buy & sell trading? on: December 14, 2017, 06:33:52 PM
I need to do research on these APIs, I'm just using mostly Binance.com right now and a little hitbtc.com exchange, but they seem to have transfer problems.  Binance is super fast.
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Bitfinex says no more US customers? How to buy IOTA now? on: December 14, 2017, 07:02:25 AM
It's been suspended since I bought it on Binance

And if it drops, I'll buy more for sure.  This is a future hold for me.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Best exchange to automate buy & sell trading? on: December 14, 2017, 06:55:09 AM
I was unaware of a gunbot, so that was good info thanks.

Are there any problems with running these gun bots like getting suspended or banned or something? Can you use them on any exchange?

Thanks for the PM opportunity, I will probably be doing so.
