750 to 800$
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Should I worry? on: September 03, 2014, 08:25:21 PM
Twice this month I saw bitcoin price index dive by more or less $30. Should I worry?

Only if you cant afford to lose in the short term , Medium to long term hold. can see price volatility for the next two to three years still early beta.
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins are you aiming to save up before Dec 31 2014? on: September 02, 2014, 10:14:51 PM
40 to 50 Between mining and buying with spare cash. 50 being my max above that risk to great for me.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Lets get one thing straight: there will NOT be a run-up anytime soon on: August 28, 2014, 10:47:20 PM
The last rally was set by chinese investors. When china banned btc last year, it started the btc decline that has lasted a year. There won't magically be another rally out of nowhere just because there has passed 1 year. Like most of you deluded people think; "it's been a year soon since the first big crash, surely a new rally is around the corner". NO. Unless China drops all BANS on BTC, BTC will stay in the shadow of its former glory. And the other altcoins are pretty much dead with absolutely no chance of resurrection.

Yes, I admit I invested around a little less than 7Kdollars and basically lost it all but it doesn't really affect my conclusion

Lost Circa 7k how did you manage that day trading ?,
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: August 26, 2014, 11:16:52 PM
Both Gold for long term store of wealth, Bitcoin for medium term investment.
47  Economy / Speculation / Re: It only takes breaking the psychological barrier of 1K twice to go several moons on: August 26, 2014, 05:40:27 PM
"butthurt in levels unknown to mankind" pmsl brilliant.  Falling you have been warned, last chance to stock up on the old KY and tampax.

48  Economy / Speculation / Re: Dropping to $350, do not buy in any dead cat bounces on: August 21, 2014, 10:19:07 PM
These drops are good. There is now a ton of support at $450. It would take a major event to push it lower. That helps boost confidence. It's also a comfortable place for big money to get in. They recognise the support, and are more likely to get in now. The next month is going to be exciting.

Look!, Dead cat hovering, cool trick

More like exciting six months, Agree with you about support and confidence with inverters.  Look forward to next six months. ETF, Ebay adoption, Improving eco system and quality of software ( lot of cash invested in start ups first two quarters) New York's Bitcoin Regulation, London looking favorable towards Bitcoin and probably most important Time. Six months on from Gox, Auction and China we are still here and thriving. Smiley
49  Bitcoin / Hardware / Re: ANTMINER S3 Discussion and Support Thread. on: July 26, 2014, 12:57:02 AM
Looking for some help with PSU choice for s3, have read a few people talking about running two S3 from one power supply, looking at Corsair 850HX 80 plus silver (£75), Corsair 750HX 80 plus silver and (£66) Evga 750 super nova 80plus bronze (£61). Will these psu run 2 machines ?  any user had experience or thoughts on running two S3 or S1 from these power supply's, Overclocked all my Antminer S1 from day one and none of them have ever missed a beat, reading posts on forum don't think i will overclocking the S3 for now. Currently use Corsair cx600m 80 plus bronze for  miners which cost me about £55 each have eight S3 from batch 4 if i could save £200 by using only 4psu goes a long way to helping with ROI, any help would be appreciated.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Would you pay more for clean coins over tainted? on: July 18, 2014, 09:33:00 PM
Bad news always more interesting so in the Future some coins may carry premium if linked to a particular crime.

It seems to me that your mind is stuck thinking that a Bitcoin is an actual physical entity, other than a unit of account in an algorithmic protocol.....

......but u aren't that dumb, right?

U were just being ironic of course!

Anyone who will take less for their tainted coins let me know.

Or who pays more for 'clean' ones.....

lol name calling on a forum nice, how sad are you

Coins may not be physical entity, but a unique and traceable entity with a history, but you knew that.

52  Economy / Speculation / Re: "Dell is now the world's largest ecommerce business to accept #bitcoin" on: July 18, 2014, 06:42:10 PM
Great news and Well done Dell hope this also applies to Dell Uk if so sons getting a new XPS for Uni.

Interesting to  see if this payment method will be adopted for Dells corporate users, could just be the nudge some business need for adopting Bitcoin  payments.
53  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin is slowly dying now, no more moon ! on: July 08, 2014, 11:06:37 PM
Early buyers / adopters / venture capital firms are spending their bitcoins so hard to recover the cost or cut loose these days,

expedia / newegg / ... are also dumping so many bitcoins on multiple exchange markets

The price is dropping to $500 !

by 'recover cost' do you mean 'take profits'? cuz the early buyers paid like pennies for those coins. maybe a few dollars, i doubt they've been sweating the overhead while they got filthy rich by just waiting around.

Half as filthy rich as they were in December, don't make it easy for the trolls.
54  Economy / Speculation / Re: I've convinced my partner to have a bitcoin. Do I buy now or wait until morning? on: June 18, 2014, 12:46:35 AM
lol Did you you get the strange glazed look when you tried to explain bitcoin, Give her the cash man and buy some coins yourself.
55  Economy / Speculation / Re: 583 on: June 15, 2014, 11:03:31 PM
Sneaky whales go mental when most of the world watches Messi £588  Grin
56  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or Gold? What would you pick? on: June 03, 2014, 11:20:55 PM
Cant compare gold low risk, gold will never go to zero in the medium term fairly low risk. Bitcoin higher risk and could go to zero or jump 1000% which gold cant (falling total fiat collapse which will not happen )  as store of wealth chalk and cheese.

lol okay i take bitcoin at least if i change my mind i can buy gold.
57  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible Resistance at $650 area on: June 03, 2014, 09:33:47 PM
I see firm resistance at the 667.42 area.

Hands up you called it, nice one.
58  Economy / Speculation / Re: I AM BYUING! on: June 03, 2014, 09:12:07 PM
No, byu is stupid. It's like kittehcoin. How many of you own kittehcoin?

Once we go past 1200 we will never go below it again.

So you can go from 1030 to 405 but not 1200 to 699 ?
59  Economy / Speculation / Re: Gold collapsing. Bitcoin UP. on: June 03, 2014, 08:55:42 PM
Bitcoin is nothing

Nope just checked still 670, dam was going to get some more.
60  Economy / Speculation / Re: Possible Resistance at $650 area on: May 31, 2014, 10:44:25 AM
I do not see any real and strong resistance in this upward trend. All possible resistance Points in December 2013 or in 2013 are made by extraordinary circumstances and don`t represent "normal" market behavior.

The first resistance I see is 1000 $,a psychological barrier.

Next is ~ 1.290 $,the gold price /$ parity,also psychological.

But when the bull run goes wild,no barrier will be efficient.
Interesting times ahead!

With you on this one, would normally trade  ( i don't trade bitcoin, miner and hoarder ) to charts but Willy report if correct throws uncertainty into charts, unclear how many genuine traders are locked in at higher prices add in reversal of negative news flow over same period. Look at psychological  barriers 750, 1000 and December 2013 price. After that can see your point regarding Digital portable spendable gold, Resistance points and charts will play a part in trading but not until we leave the wild west and bitcoin trading matures with regulation.
