41  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Betting : A big problem to crypto? on: November 10, 2019, 06:43:04 PM
The only bad thing is that it seems anybody running or using an unlicensed gambling site on blockchain thinks it's not illegal because it's on blockchain. At some point, this might cause some trouble for quite a bunch of people who didn't mind to remain anonymous.

The reason why most of the traffic on blockchain is used for gambling is that it's very easy for users to wager a lot of money very quickly through the automation. And because most sites incentivize being active early throughout the lifetime of a platform, a lot of people are doing that. Numbers look crooked, because a dice bet is typically being done multiple times in a row, as opposed to a purchase in a game or similar.
42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Speculation (Altcoins) / Re: Bull Run is coming! on: November 10, 2019, 06:35:54 PM
It's great when Bitcoin and crypto are being brought to the average person's consciousness on a more frequent basis.

Whether this one alone will be enough to drive the next bull run...I'd be rather skeptical ;-)
43  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the most interesting / fun person in the crypto space? on: November 10, 2019, 06:33:10 PM
So far the most frequent mentions were:
- Satoshi :-)
- CZ
- John McAfee
- Vitalik
- Andreas Antonopoulos

Very few females, though. Is this because there are so few, or because they aren't as prominent?

Personally, I would prefer people like Aggroed, the creator of Steem monster, or Delegate Jarunik of Ark, or Dan Larimer EOS, of she: https://twitter.com/girlgone_crypto , https://twitter.com/naomibrockwell

Very good ideas, especially for people familiar with the Steem space! Steem Monsters is such a great game!

I would definitely choose Tone Vays. his views and vision of the cryptocurrency market is one of the most objectives at the moment. I would like to talk to him personally

Very interesting choice! First time he has come up!
46  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the most interesting / fun person in the crypto space? on: November 08, 2019, 10:12:21 AM
If you could choose one person from the crypto space to spend an evening or a weekend with, who would that be?
Maybe Vitalik Buterin for the Ethereum Network and Changpeng Zhao CZ of Binance Exchange I want to ask them about their plans for the long term goals, and to make Ethereum and Binance more reliable despite in the challenging times we face. and I think that's fun interviewing the two rock star in the crypto world.

There would be so many questions to Vitalik, right?

It feels like CZ has been more public about his overall vision where crypto and Binance are going than Vitalik. It's still kinda unclear whether Ethereum is meant to be kind of an Enterprise / DeFi technology that is truly secure or more of a scalable, mass end-user layer for digital items and games.

In my opinion, none other than John McAfee is the most striking and controversial representative of the crypto industry.
A true crypto anarchist, a person who has achieved a lot, who is not afraid of anything, and can afford anything. I admire him despite all his ambiguous statements.
He is a very intelligent person and is well versed in the crypto industry, partly thanks to him we have such a crypto market as we have now.

Definitely a great choice!

There's even gonna a movie starring Zac Efron (https://news.avclub.com/zac-efron-to-hunt-john-mcafee-in-king-of-the-jungle-1839622465) about John.

We're wondering, though: What if someone could make a game where one could play him? Shocked

maybe satoshi (creator of bitcoin) I hope he shows his real face in public and this will be very interesting and very fun especially if satoshi hears my call  Smiley . and the second one might be Mark Zuckerberg, almost everyone wants to know about their project plans, including me also want to know what LIBRA Coins look like.

Wherever and whoever you are, Satoshi, let's grab dinner! :-)

Zuckerberg's view on the entire crypto / blockchain thing outside LIBRA might be even more interesting...

While with Charlie Lee, I'd like to ask on how he got a hint with his words about taking seriously the dump before the market actually dumped. And how it's timing when he has sold most of his Litecoin holdings before the bear market.

Maybe him selling actually was one of the causes for the dump. But yeah, it would be interesting to hear what he was actually thinking at that time, or whether he'll stick to the view that he's been communicating publicly.

You are talking about this article right? https://blockchaingamer.net/chain-clash-pre-sale-starts-04-november-2019/
They are only using a few well known people in cryptocurrency as an avatar in game, not all of us can do that and the majority are a fictional characters.

The goal is to have tech available for everybody to be able to create their avatars instantaneously. However, we're not quite there, yet, and the process of making those characters is a bit resource-intense.

Feel free to suggest who else you'd like to see in the game, and we'll reach out to them to get them in the game up next.

Well, that requires virtual reality technology if we want to create our avatar instantaneously and the technology is not cheap at all.
How many special avatars are you going to create for the initial phase?
where should we go to suggest it? in here?

We have an awesome pipeline of people (we just announced Brock Pierce) which is constantly increasing and we'll be adding them to the game in an ongoing fashion. We need to prioritize a bit but can basically add a new person within a few weeks.

Feel free to use Twitter or here for suggestions - the more public, the bigger the "pressure" on the person to actually *want* to get in :-)

Apart from that, you can of course use Telegram (pretty new) or Discord for any kind of request.

Looks decent, but guys seriously... stop giving names like "crypto" and "chain" to every blockchain-based game!
It looks ridiculous and childish.
CryptoKitties was the first of its kind, so it's acceptable in that case. But no other serious dapp game has those words in their name.
Think about it.

Hehe, thanks for your comment - we've been debating that, as well. However, as this game is an actual game featuring crypto projects / coins and their influencers, we thought it's still a pretty decent name, even if everyone is doing this. It's a game particularly meant for the blockchain / crypto community; as soon as we make a game that targets a different niche / the mass market, believe us, it won't contain "Chain" or "Crypto"!

Excellent graphics.

I read an article "...Crystal is the founder and CEO of Sense.Chat. She’s been declared Top 10 Women in Blockchain by Forbes and is a frequent speaker at conferences. Crystal is also a passionate gamer."

Are you using real people as characters?

Thanks! The game is a collaboration between DNA Block (building the 3D graphics) and CHAINWISE Group (building the game logic and the blockchain stuff). DNA Block are producing some really awesome 3d tech! They've even been featured in a BBC documentary (the full length version also covers Chain Clash, but is currently only available in the UK) ;-)

Yes, we're scanning real people and make 3D models out of them, but never without their consent! Wait for who else we've got coming up ;-)

58  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Why are you involved with Crypto? on: October 31, 2019, 12:48:35 PM
People are trying to catch up with how the world moves on very fast and innovate in so may different ways, same goes with how people are transacting. Most of the enthusiasts are here to trade and invest after realizing how profitable and advantageous cryptocurrency involvement. But as for me, what is keeping me on my involvement with crypto is bounty campaigns. I earn through joining campaigns and that is what stands as the reason of keeping in touch with crypto.

Do you do that full-time or is this basically an extra? Do you regularly convert your crypto into fiat and cash out?
59  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Who is the single most influential person in Bitcoin? on: October 31, 2019, 12:46:29 PM
The single more influential person in Bitcoin is no other than Satoshi Nakamoto! Alive or dead, real or fake, individual or group, Satoshi is still on top as the most influential person in Bitcoin.

That's absolutely true, the mere debate about what Satoshi might have meant with this or that old post is really fascinating, given that Bitcoin isn't about what its creator wanted but what is actually the most useful for a maximum of people.

I originally posted the question because I wanted to learn who people perceive as the real-world person with the most impact on the future of Bitcoin. It's very subjective, yes, but the fact that there is no consensus (haha!) about this question makes Bitcoin so special.
60  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: Cryptonization Fail ? on: October 31, 2019, 12:39:55 PM
Because the majority project is a scam, many people view cryptocurrency used for speculation only but the truth is not. They are making a statement based on outer shell of cryptocurrency when scammer and fraudulent projects gather. If they dig deeper, they should know not all of them are purposed for speculation and they should know cryptocurrency created to revolution our technology. Crypto has not failed, it has not even matured yet because of the legalization issue.

I think that many projects weren't actually started as a scam, it's more that they were delusional about the impact they can make with the money from an ICO or so. If you don't have experience managing a company and its funds, 10m$ can be very little, but their promises were typically huge.

Also, many projects have "lost" a lot of the raised funds due to the bubble burst and weren't able to get additional financing (which, based on their traction, is understandable).
