Rented your rig for 24h. Stable and delivering hashrate as promised. 10/10

Rig is up and running again. As the LeaseRig Proxy is not yet running on the BAMT rig, I merged it with my secondary rig consisting of 2x R9 270X on a Windows machine. Hashrate is now about 3.1-3,2Mh/s. Hashrate is fluctuating a little at the moment, but I will keep an eye on it so yout get what you paid for...

I would, if there was a download link for the linux version. Wink The link in the first post seems to be Windows only...

Not true:

Download LeaseRig Proxy Software (Windows&Linux) (current latest version is v0.05e).

It contains linux binary too (named: leaserigproxy_linux).

I get the following error in BAMT:
Quote
glibc_2.15' not found (required by ./leaserigproxy_linux

Ok, I admit, I am totally new to Linux and especially BAMT. So I downloaded the zip-file, extracted the content in a separate folder, opened a terminal window and followed the instructions in the readme - navigating to the leaserig folder of course...

Yeah, I do have a Windows machine I could point sgminer to which would mean an additional computer consuming power. Thanks for your patience so far, maybe I really need a step by step instruction guide. -.-

I opened the sgminer windows in terminal (screen -r) and actually watched it switch pools in the first run. It seems that only the test after 60 seconds fails, everything else seems normal...

Hi,

I need some help with the configuration running BAMT 1.3. Everything is set up and rig is hashing fine. Unfortunately I fail at the rig test:

I already tried to change the cronjob
Quote
Login to your BAMT box using ssh and perform the following:
sudo crontab -e
Add the following to the bottom of the crontab (This will check for updates every 5 minutes and only overwrite when changes are made)
Code:

Code:
*/5 * * * * cp -u /.cgminer/cgminer.conf /etc/bamt/cgminer.conf >/dev/null 2>&1

Exit (and save)
and

Quote
Eerrrk, I pref a on the fly write , linking running config to default save path

for bamt with cgminer
Code:
Code:
sudo [ -f /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf ] && rm -f /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf ; ln -s /etc/bamt/cgminer.conf /root/.cgminer/cgminer.conf

for bamt with sgminer
Code:
Code:
sudo [ -f /root/.sgminer/sgminer.conf ] && rm -f /root/.sgminer/sgminer.conf ; ln -s /etc/bamt/cgminer.conf /root/.sgminer/sgminer.conf

this will be better

Any help is appreciated as I am new into linux. I am running sgminer 4.0.0 in BAMT. Thanks in advance. Smiley

Rig is currently offline for maintenance. Trying to get BAMT working, if the rig is stable again it will be back online. Please allow at least 24h of testing.

I just threw a spare R9 270X in to mine a little solo. So I installed the Windows wallet, created the config file according to available information, forwarded the port in my router to my machine. What cgminer mostly says is:
Quote
new block detected on network before long poll

Mining using a pool is no problem at all, less than 2% stale and rejects in total so I assume it's some kind of communication issue of my local wallet with the rest of the network. My config file looks like this:
Code:
rpcuser=user*
rpcpassword=pass*
rpcallowip=localhost
rpcport=3136
daemon=1
server=1
listen=1
addnode=206.72.206.148
addnode=88.191.185.113
*data changed for obvious reasons Wink

Thanks in advance for any hint to solve this... And, yes, this is just for fun solo-mining - I would really like to solve it and not use a pool. Grin

We can keep the pool.conf and the run.bat, right? ^^

Having a bit of an nightmare setting this up. I have my GPU rig mining away though the speed isn't measure (Method A) So then I set up:

Quote
--api-listen --api-allow W:89.212.242.33 --api-port 7777

and added 7777 to the proxy run.bat.

I've turned win firewall off to eliminate that.

I keep getting the error:

Quote
WARNING: cgminer API (127.0.0.1:7777) Closing connection - is IP allowed?

HELP?!

Disconnects from the proxy too even without the API commands... Could be similar issue to above this post?

Use localhost: 127.0.0.1 as IP address - should work, assuming that LRP and cgminer run on the same machine.

Code:
--api-listen --api-allow W:127.0.0.1 --api-port 7777

The other IP mentioned in the guide is for the second connection type.

53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: 5gpu 2psu scrypt mining rig shuts down 1hour later on: March 10, 2014, 11:03:38 AM
I had the same issue with my rig at the beginning. These settings solved the issue:

1500 / 1035 is the combination that works on most 280x with tc 8192 also update your driver.

this always gives results above 700kh/s
Code:
 -I 13 -g 2 -w 256 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-engine 1035 --gpu-memclock 1500 --auto-fan --temp-cutoff 95 --temp-overheat 75 --auto-gpu

but make sure you've got the latest amd driver and if it's a beta driver try the one before that.

Read my first post to find similarities, I am also using Toxcis. Rig has been running stable since.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 09, 2014, 05:53:58 PM
Just check a few posts above - it's not a "reject"-problem, it's a settings issue of your cgminer/sgminer/whatever. I have 3-4% maximum rejects using the EU server (as I am located in the EU Wink ).
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 09, 2014, 02:15:14 PM
TO THE ONES COMPLAINING ABOUT REJECTS:

Yes, it's my first rig and yes, I am a "small" miner - but it's working fine. So go back and check your settings. Wink

Terk, keep up the good work. Profitability - of course - can always be better.  Grin

Rented a rig for a few hours while I was fixing my own. Hashrate delivered as advertised, definitely worth a recommendation. Smiley
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: [Reward] 3x 280X Setup - Help needed on: March 08, 2014, 10:52:14 PM
After now 5 hours of mining, it seems to look quite well.

2.1MH/s stable with acceptable temperatures and high WU-rate. Foodies123, I owe you. ^^  I reset the display values to check if the hardware errors re-occur, temperatures went beyond 75° before air cooling fan was proper positioned. Wink Now I am looking for long-term stability, next update tomorrow...

@pwpwpw
Definitely interested as I am planning to split the rig in the future to setup two separate rigs with only one GPU-/card-type. Are you using Linux or Windows? Will try to figure out that BAMT thing tomorrow.

- DRIVER UPDATE: checked as 13.12 is the latest driver except 14.x beta (see above hidden somewhere in the wall of text ^^)

I am currently trying your settings. Is there a point that you don't set a target temperature or fan speed? Starting this config heats the GPU up to 75° and then hell breaks lose when all fans are set to 100% and take forever to calm down. Wink Or is it just me again being impatient? Cheesy
59  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / [Reward] 3x 280X Setup - Help needed on: March 08, 2014, 03:12:32 PM
Hey there,

I'm still quite new to crypto currencies and mining and I've been searching Google and multiple Forums for a solution up until now - but my rig still is not running. My apologies for any spelling mistakes and wrong grammar but english is not my native language. Wink

First my setup:

Code:
Asrock H61 Pro BTC /w Intel G645T
4GB RAM
1000W ENERMAX PSU
x1 to x1 riser cables
Windows 7SP1 (total Linux noob with no knowledge at all)
CGminer 3.7.2 / Catalyst 13.12

1x ASUS R9 280X DC2T
2x Sapphire R9 280X Toxic

Initial setup with the ASUS and one Sapphire was running just fine with 780KH/s for the ASUS and 600KH/s for the Sapphire. I created two separate folders for CGminer and started two sessions with the following settings:

ASUS:
Quote
del *.bin
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
...\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o -p X -d 1 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 -g 2 -I 13 --auto-fan --gpu-fan 30-85 --temp-cutoff 85 --temp-overheat 80 --temp-target 72 --gpu-memclock 1800 --gpu-engine 1150 --gpu-powertune -20 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale

Sapphire:
Quote
del *.bin
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
...\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o -p X -d 0 -I 13 --lookup-gap 2 --thread-concurrency 8192 --gpu-memclock 1875 --gpu-engine 1160 --expiry 1 --scan-time 1 --queue 0 --no-submit-stale

I was wondering why the Toxic was running at 600 only - but hey, it ran stable so I didn't care then and temperatures and everything were all fine. Today I installed the second 280X Toxic and the system keeps crashing after about 20 minutes. I created a third CGminer folder and started mining with these settings:
Quote
del *.bin
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
...\cgminer.exe --scrypt -o -p X --shaders 2048 -I 13 --gpu-fan 65 --no-submit-stale

You will notice that I set shaders instead of TC, as it was suggested on some pages I went looking for a solution. Here a screenshot while the miner is still working:

GPU 0 and GPU 1 are the Sapphire - unfortunately with different BIOS, GPU 2 is the ASUS - all working at default clocks

Any help configuring this rig to run stable around 2.1MH/s (700KH/s each should be possible as far as I know) is greatly appreciated. As I am still quite new in this business the reward will be somewhat limited to the ammount I was able to mine until now. PM me if you need any further information like screenshots or configuration information.

Thanks in advance if you read the whole post and are trying to help. Smiley
60  Economy / Reputation / Re: ad3000 - Trust Thread on: March 07, 2014, 06:26:46 PM
Rented several rigs with different time periods - everything went perfect. Actual hashrate was almost exactly the reported/promised hashrate. Definitely worth trying.

Is there a scale of discount for returning customers? Wink PM me if interested...
