some thoughts about promotion.. please correct me if I'm wrong, but I notice last time there are mainly discussions around Chat Features of Talkcoin.
but we may not forget that primarily Talkcoin is a Currency! should we not pay more attention towards its monetary characteristics/features?
1. technology
just in case you pointed to china where any crypto transactions via banking are forbidden, exchange accounts will be frozen, in talkcoin's chat people can manage offline-selling/buying - "an exchange" inside of talkcoin's wallet like localbitcoins.com
we automatize this process and transmit actual offers in special form via chat.
2. one of usage
the second function based on above-named is like "western union" - transmission of Talkcoin from any country to the other one.
professional mediators will earn, and people will transfer money with much smaller commissions.
Like US-man(fiat) -> nearest US-talkcoin-user -> transfer talkcoin to other coutry -> CN-talkcoin-user -> CN-recipient of fiat
I think we are missing Marketing and this Strategy positioning Talkcoin as a handy Currency with many other functions (like chat etc..) will present it advantageously in the market. Perhaps, this will attract more attention.

3. Talkcoin chose TOR as main technology, but in China TOR is completly disabled by Great Firewall as well as i2p, they used the most advanced DPI, Connection probes and Support vector machines.
May be will be good to integrate BitMessage as second option to chat.
I continue my monologue.. 4. the problem of each crypto coin is to reach the real world. we have an idea, concept, there is a real problem in real live which Talkcoin is able to solve! the next step should be to reach and attract "normal" people who would use talkcoin in their live. I'd say we need a website with infos for them! they do not know or care about "blockchain, transactions, central server" etc.. the existing website is for miners - "how to mine".
for people this should be in direction like "SEND MONEY to your mother, SEND MESSAGE to your partner WITHOUT TO BE CONTROLLED IN ANY WAY.. " HOW AND WHERE TO USE.the price won't rise with the growing number of miners ("healthy growht and not just a pump"), but if only non-miners/ investors want to buy on the exhange or offline |
