41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Millennials Are Twice As Likely To Buy Bitcoin Than Gold on: December 09, 2020, 02:38:10 AM
This interesting article shows that during this ongoing pandemic, many investors are looking for a safe place to "park" their money. 67% of millennials are more likely to invest in Bitcoin than the conventional Gold asset class.

What are your thoughts on the reasons behind this statistic, why are millennials more likely to invest in bitcoin than gold?, and could this be a bad thing overall for Bitcoin?

42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Why is bitcoin so unstable? on: December 06, 2020, 08:04:53 PM
Thats a really interesting point. In my opinion, I think BTC is a lot more unstable than precious metals because there is a lot more speculation and ease of transaction going on in bitcoin. If someone was to invest in gold and hold for a bit, they have to physically go to a buyer and hand it off in person in order to transact it. However in Bitcoin, everything is much easier to transact, which could lead to more volatility in the market?

I have heard that long term if / when bitcoin reaches higher prices, the volatility in the market should go down significantly.
43  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: 2 ledgers but different seeds? on: December 06, 2020, 07:46:25 PM
Just wondering how you guys work this. If you have 2 different ledgers but want to store the same crypto on each one, do you use different seed keys for each one or use the same seeds for both ledgers. Security wise, I would have thought having the same keys for each ledger would be more secure ?

All your public addresses that are holding the bitcoin are derived from the seed used, meaning if you have two different ledgers with unique seeds, theyre going to have different public addresses and that also means theyre holding different balances of btc.

If you want to have same balance showing on each ledger (I'm assuming youre doing this so you have two ledger devices to be safe in case you lose one), then the seed phrase needs to be the same for each.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Almost 20% of Paypal Users Trade Bitcoin Using the App on: December 04, 2020, 03:53:43 AM
Even though people are not in favour of paypal adding bitcoin on their platform (since keys are not controlled by owner), I think the amount of people being introduced to the overall currency is a very good thing.

The new people coming into bitcoin would probably want to learn more and hopefully go off paypal to secure their own keys
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Altcoin Discussion / Re: EOS WALLET on: September 01, 2019, 06:31:31 PM
Hello Guys.
please who is conversant with EOS Wallet. i finds it difficult to send out tokens in my account. i am using the current scatter software. someone should assist please. i will appreciate.

For windows, I'm using Scatter like many other people because it is used for most dapps online. For my android phone, I'm using EOSLYNX because i like the interface. But it does not really matter which wallet you use to interact with the chain as long as you are holding the private key for long term saving.
