Newsflash, TC.  EVERYTHING is a local bubble, it just depends on your scope.

Hmm.  That's a big problem, actually.  Does withdrawal work?

There hasn't really been a good DTC discussion thread in this subforum.  Feel free to use this.  Right now I'm looking into making an Android app for accessing/posting to the DTC blockchain, but I can't think of a good way to do this without either a centralized server or downloading the whole DTC blockchain to the device.  Any suggestions?

I'd like to implement some DTC Android stuff but I'm not sure of the best way to get DTC functionality without downloading the whole blockchain.  Of course it could just connect to nodes running the full DTC wallet, but then how would Android clients get a list of nodes without relying on a centralized node?  Any ideas?

Nice!!

Could we get a list of dependencies and config instructions?

We need more exchanges. Bter makes always problems.

Yeah, but unfortunately that's one of the major factors that brought down DTC in the first place, Cryptsy refuses to add it :/
49  Economy / Trading Discussion / Handling user funds on: May 17, 2015, 09:34:44 AM
Sorry if this is the wrong subforum, I'm not quite sure which this belongs in.  Suppose I want to make a service that allows users to spend a crypto from their phones on a service that I provide.  The service uses user data sent from their phone (pictures, text, etc).  This crypto does not have a lightwallet, implementing one is impossible, and the full wallet is too heavy for an android device to reasonably handle.  Is my only option to implement a server-side wallet service?  If so, what are the best practices for handling client funds?  I'm thinking that I'd need to implement a server-side database with a record of funds owned by each account, and then distribute/use funds from the server wallet accordingly?

Any advice appreciated.

What if there are fraud hashes?  What prevents a 51%ed chain from using DTC in the same way?

I type d that tyitle twice because I knew it was wrong the first time.  Still wrong.  w/e.  GF's out at a lesbian bar, BTC crashing WHY AM I HOLDING? I'LL TELL YOU WHY.  It's because I'm a bad trader and I KNOW I'M A BAD TRADER.  Yeah you good traders can spot the highs and the lows pit pat piffy wing wong wang just like that and make a millino bucks sure no problem bro.  Likewise the weak hands are like OH NO IT'S GOING DOWN I'M GONNA SELL he he he and then they're like OH GOD MY ASSHOLE when the SMART traders who KNOW WHAT THE FUCK THEY'RE DOING buy back in but you know what?  I'm not part of that group.  When the traders buy back in I'm already part of the market capital so GUESS WHO YOU'RE CHEATING day traders NOT ME~!  Those taunt threads saying "OHH YOU SHOULD HAVE SOLD" YEAH NO SHIT.  NO SHIT I SHOULD HAVE SOLD.  I SHOULD HAVE SOLD MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY SELL AND BOUGHT MOMENTS BEFORE EVERY BUY BUT YOU KNOW WHAT NOT EVERYBODY IS AS COOL AS YOU.  You only sell in a bear market if you are a good day trader or an illusioned noob.  The people inbetween hold.  In a zero-sum game such as this, traders can only take your money if you sell.

so i've had some whiskey
actually on the bottle it's spelled whisky
w/e

(but only if it's payable in BTC)

Still holding? Bought more? Wink

A very clever idea.
But she is already in operation Dev. Or in the testing phase?

It's already in operation on the DTC side.  The examples OP gives above are already in the DTC blockchain.  It's up to the other coin devs to implement the protocol in their wallets at this point.

I have a question for OP.  How would a wallet distinguish checkpoints for its own blockchain?

If it is realy true then DTC2moon.

It still has to be implemented in the wallets that will use crosschecking.

Makes sense to me.  Store the BTC blockchain hash in the DTC blockchain and you'd need to 51% both blockchains in order to rewrite any of them.  Add more blockchain hashes and it becomes essentially impossible to 51% any of them because you'd need to 51% all of them.  Brilliant.

Finally some real innovation again.  This is incredible and I hope it catches on.

This pool is only for ATI Radeon R9 cards.  What about a general pool as used to exist at xpool, gpool etc?

Yeah I'm looking for this too.  DTC needs the variety or we'll be back at square zero.

I've sent an email too.  Make sure to translate into Chinese as well.  Keep sending emails, everyone.  We need our DTC if we're going to use them for projects.

Hello.  The Datacoin (DTC) wallet is working.  We would like to withdraw our DTC.

您好。该Datacoin(DTC)的钱包正在工作。我们想撤回我们的DTC。
