41  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A woman has been arrested in the United States for hiring a killer with bitcoin on: September 28, 2020, 08:19:58 AM
Well I'm not surprised that the authority or someone keep track or trace the transactions made in crypto or bitcoin, it is because as the time goes by I know that the technology is becoming more powerful tool even in internet. But the thing is this woman did a stupid decision driven by her emotion she didn't think carefully and just hired a killer people now a days tend to do things before they think and this woman's doing could add a bad impression about bitcoin used for this kind of things which is not good for bitcoin industry. At least the authority manage to track the transaction and able to stop the crime, technology and internet now a days is getting more scary.
42  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is Bitcoin such a big risk? on: September 28, 2020, 12:06:36 AM
Many people I know formed a bias that cryptocurrencies are inherently risky and you shouldn't invest in them more than you can afford to lose.

I agree with the above statement in a certain extent, but I'd like to ask the community. Is it riskier to place your money in Bitcoin or hold them in a fiat savings account? What's your opinion?

So curious to see the response especially today when we live in times of crisis.

Any cryptocurrency is risk. The higher the value of the cryptocurrency, the higher the risk.
Well I would say that crypto currency is not risky the risk will be in entering this industry specially the risk will be higher if someone that has minimal knowledge about crypto currency will start to engage to earn, in short the lower the knowledge and experience the higher risk it is, and remember the value of any cryptocurrency can change from time to time that's why it is more risky for the user if he/she don't know how to deal with the situation.
43  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Ako si Dogie's Channel Hacked and became a Crypto Channel. on: September 27, 2020, 03:10:45 PM
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for Christmas on: September 27, 2020, 08:37:41 AM
We are already in "ber" months which it is a sign that we are fast approaching on Christmas day which is on December 25.
I have this on my mind that I'll start to prepare my present or gifts to some of my friends and family.

I want something related to Bitcoin like I will give a present that has related to Bitcoin, like some Angpao on Bitcoins? Paper wallets with Bitcoin inside? Or anything else.
So I am here asking for some opinion of yours, what's your suggestion for a present or gift for our loved ones for this upcoming Christmas?
Well i think it's a good idea for me to receiven or give bitcoin or any kind of crypto currency instead of paper money of cash why? Well as we all know we still facing a pandemic and in the culture of philippines, kids go around to gather money or what we call "Pamamasko". So giving money on form of crypto will be safer and faster but the sad part is that not many people know about this industry specially to use crypto wallet.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin for salary on: September 26, 2020, 09:24:38 AM
Legality of paying btc to your employees or anybody you want to, depends on the country you live in and the state of crypto there. To be very honest, there is nothing that can stop you from paying BTC to your workers, but you need their consent that they are interested in getting paid with BTC. You get paid in BTC, your campaign pays you after calculating your total payment in USD and then convert it to BTC based on its value at that time. I get paid the same way. So what's the problem?

Actually it is very difficult to implement this in a company. First not everyone will have know how about bitcoins and secondly the crypto currency must be legal in the country where this system needs to be implemented. Also you know that taxes are calculated and deducted on salary, companies pays taxes also, all of this needs to be incorporated into the system also.

Well, this depends on the time and company we are talking about. If this is implemented, that just means that bitcoin is not just the crypto currency we know right now, it is been a popular alternative to fiat in this world. That means it is legal and almost all of the people in this world know it is. That also means that income taxes, regulation and the system is not a problem.

I think this also depends on the government.

Upon knowing about this, I don't think the government will just let this slip by. They will find a way to regulate this kind of payments and they will make laws all about it. If that is also the case, I think that a lot of people are actually using it that it is an alternative to fiat hence it might already be accepted or regulated by the government. I think that future is still quite far from now.
I think in my country which is Philippines, it's impossible to happen or maybe it will happen after so many years, why? it's simply because not many people in Philippines know about bitcoin or crypto currency in short they don't know what it is or they have a very little knowledge about it. But for me as I've known this industry of course receiving salary inform of any kind of crypto currency will be a good idea because of less hassle but the down side is that the price of crypto is not that stable it changes time by time so before it happen, I guess it need's more further study.
46  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Gambling is Addictive...Pay Attention to your Gambling Habit!!! on: September 26, 2020, 02:54:03 AM
Your friend is not cursed, don't think of it like that. He just getting addicted to gambling maybe because he won once or twice then he had consecutive losses. By that, it keeps him to continue to gamble having his hopes that he will win again or at least get his losses back. That is the common mindset of most gamblers, addiction leads them to that situation.
It never changes the mindset of most gamblers.

It's addictive and when someone can't get off his hands, that's what likely to happen. We get the desire to take back our losses if we have lost that much.

But when we realize, it's better to have that lower amount of loss than to add more of it because of our desire to recover.

It is normal to have the desire to cover the losses we get when playing gambling, by continuing to gamble and hope we can win.
But such a mindset leads us to become gambling addicts, and it will be a problem for ourselves. It should be as you say, we must
realize that having a loss is not a problem, which forced to play gambling again to recover losses, but the more it makes our losses
even greater. And we must be able to limit when playing gambling, because it is very important to control ourselves when playing
gambling.
I think the right thing to say is that in the first place gambling is bad or wrong if only that a person o gambler treat gambling to gain money or such form of obtaining money in easy way, it's not bad play gambling games if only the person view it as entertainment or game and will not chase for it's lost because trying to chasing your losses and desire to gain more money in gambling is a worst mindset at all.
47  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Police Raids and kids involving spider betting. on: September 25, 2020, 03:27:51 AM
Unless gambling is banned in your place, I don't think spider betting is that bad. As a kid, we've been doing that for years and we don't have a problem with that to the authorities. The barangay captain of our place even joins with our fun by cheering with us. It is just we are hard-headed and loves letting these spiders fight, that is just it.

Even if the baranggay captain joins you, that doesn't mean it's right. We all know that any form of gambling (that is illegal) will not be tolerated by the authority, and your baranggay captain know that but always ignored it since he has the power in your baranggay and no one will tell the police (hope so). Given the situation we are in right now, gambling is never the right thing to do especially to the kids, because they are prone to the virus like the senior citizens.

That is why I am talking about when I was a kid.

Which at that time betting on other things is also a thing, and I think Filipinos would only knew; text money, kara, patubig, even turumpo(top) is being betting on, and if you are a Filipino, I doubt that you never experienced one of those. That is a life we had in the past, we never even looked at it as gambling since we are having fun doing that, we just realized that growing up.

I think gambling is part of our tradition, Most of us Filipinos usually say, "Pustahan tayo"(lets bet on it), when they know they are right, they would even add "sama mo pa bahay mo"(you could even bet your house).
As a fellow filipino i agree to you that gambling or "pustahan" become the part of our tradition, in fact when i was in elementary i often join in spider betting and sometimes i am the participant and it was fun but also i know that it is illegal, but also the fact that spider betting in Philippines is not considered as one of the biggest illegal form of gambling but i think why the authority arrest those who do spider betting is because we are in the middle of a pandemic and the worst is that there's a kids involved but I also understand that those people maybe seek for entertainment or to do what they love and their habit but the timing is off.
48  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: Misleading headline ng mga media on: September 24, 2020, 01:56:22 AM

.

And most of the time nga, misleading ang headlines na nababasa ko.

49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin and Education on: September 23, 2020, 10:29:42 AM
Well its a big great opportunity for everyone specially those people who has really interesting to learn about bitcoin. Nowadays different country are facing the crisis mostly the filipino people so if the bitcoin become educational many students can learn to earn bitcoin too. They might help to their families when it comes to financial problem. They will fully understantand what inside the cryptocurrency world and how to work with bit oin. They could understand that not only the commonly lessons they got to know from school but on how to be a proffessional bitcoiner too..
Ideally, make the subject of Cryptocurrencies, mainly study bitcoin, also other cryptocurrencies, history and so on, since this is our future, and a very important part of it, but no one will explain this and usually a person studies it on his own and makes mistakes.
But the thing is not every country is very known about the existence of bitcoin or crypto currency and if they heard about it, they don't have an idea of what it is, so basically maybe the first step is that the big influencer of a certain country will spread the info's about crypto and state what it can do to the lives of many people and then creating a course or subject about will be easily approved because they the majority of the population of the country is interested in it. In short influence comes first.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Is bitcoin difficult to understand on: September 20, 2020, 09:06:37 AM
Well in this generation many people have a hard time understanding the technology especially for elders and of course understanding about the concept of bitcoin will be very difficult also, in fact in my country bitcoin or crypto currency is not that famous or known by many. but I believe that because of the advanced technology and the power of internet some curious or those who want to know about the world of bitcoin or crypto will be easily learned, just a one click and they can easily explore and learn bitcoin but of course they also need the assistance or guide of those experts if they want to learn more and enter in this community.
52  Local / Others (Pilipinas) / Re: COVID-19 Related Scams on: March 31, 2020, 03:02:23 AM
54  Local / Pamilihan / Re: Cyptocurrency at Gaming industry on: February 29, 2020, 12:54:53 AM
55  Local / Pilipinas / Re: Students on Bitcoin or Cryptocurrency on: February 28, 2020, 12:05:32 PM
56  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: A game that educates people about Bitcoin on: February 28, 2020, 02:38:38 AM
Well, I think that is a nice idea that use games as medium to introduce and influence other to be interested and knows about cryptocurrency, actually, I'm not good at suggesting at complex things but what you have right now is enough maybe while developing it you will think of others things to add, but in all, it might work.
