wow only 13.64% XC are on mintpal and bittrex/cryptsy doesn't appear in top 20 largest wallets.
Basically, 85%+ of coins are stacking ATM.  XC holding very strong Smiley

Just a point of inquiry;

It cost about about 1/2 BTC to send out a press release.

https://ireach.prnewswire.com/orders/price-options.aspx

Our PR campaign is through PRweb and cost $500.

In this case it was funded personally by Dan. The final Rev 2 release will be funded by the community's donations to the PR Fund!

It proove us again the devotion of XC team for this project.
Thanks you very much XC team Smiley
After so many news and improvement, could be frustrating to see the price stable.
I am really impressed by the mature reaction of our community, simply the first time i see it in altcoins scenes.
These 2 reactions give the best confidence possible to new investors. No bubble, underpriced, solid price support constructed for weeks, great team and community, awesome project.
We are constructing a rock solid basis here Smiley

Afternoon folks. Let's start small today:

There's a new version of XChat (2.47h)!

- You can now chat with the app unlocked for staking, so your coins are protected.

- You now get notifications in the taskbar for new messages.

- Your "from" address is filled automatically, saving you hassle.

- You can use it over TOR in conjunction with the TOR browser bundle.

Small, haha it's already a very good update !! Smiley

XC is such a great coin, but the price makes me confused. Every time the price go to around 0.002, some big holder is going to dump XC to 0.0016, and then another big holder is going to dump to 0.0013, I noticed this keeping for more than one month. When can we go up like a rocket?

Very weird market behavior.
If you have doubt and you think XC couldn't go up then  read my last post:

To help potential investors to calculate their return of investment if they decide to put some BTC on XC i would want to share some simple calculation and projection.
Let's calculate the expected valu we could expect if you buy 10BTC of XC with 3 month maximum timeline (REV 3 target).
actual XC  price of 170  (0.0017).
I will choose pessimistic projection to show you the expected valu we could expect from a 10BTC buy now.
First we have to estimate the odds to be delivered REV 3  (before end timeline 3 month) and REV3 is working correctly.
Let's choose a very pessimistic odds first with 30% chance REV 3 is delivered
Case 1 (winning case):
Estimated average sell price = 0.01 (conservative projection , XC marketcap about 35millions$)
Total BTC after sold = (0.01/0.0017)x 10 = 58.8 BTC

ExpectedValu (case1) = 0.3 x (58.8 - 10) = +14.64 btc (profit 30% of time)

Case 2 (loosing case):
Let say we loose 50% (again very pessimistic price would be 0.00085) of our investment 70% of time (as we have 30% success...)
Expected valu = -5 x 0.7= -3.5 BTC (lost 70% of time)

ExpectedValu investment now on XC with 30% success = -3.5 +14.64= +11.14 BTC

With these calculations i simply prooved you that even if you consider a pessimistic scenario case  you could stil expect + 11.14 BTC win in average if you invest 10 BTC now on XC (for 3 month investment). I haven't count the benefit you would have to stack your coins for 3 month.

The 2 most important factor to consider when you do these projection are:
1/ the odds technology will be delived and working
2/ the expected price when 1/ is a success.

XC team have prooved us every day for the last 2 month  they work really hard to reach their goal and deliver all the feature on the roadmap.
Now i share with you my own asomption:
I would expect to be delivered REV3 in the next 3 month with minimum 70% odds, i would also expect the price to go pretty easily (around 0.015/0.02 average 0.0175)

EV (10BTC buy now) = +63.39 BTC

I expect a gain of 63.39 BTC in average for each 10 BTC invested on XC at the actual price of 0.0017 having as target REV 3 release(3 month max).

As you can see not investing your money on XC now is not profitable.
You could say me, why should i choose XC instead of another altcoins. I would simply respond, you can have some confidence given the past and present that XC team have the technical capacity and motivation to deliver the road map features with higher odds than you could expect with others coins. The full project of XC is outstanding so the expected valu is HUGE.

I think if XC doesn't go up much now it's only a lack of liquidity on altcoins and bitcoin market ATM, all major altcoins are dumped for days. XC price react really well in comparison. When liquidity will flow again i am pretty sure XC will attract a nice % of fresh money Smiley
Wait and see knowing investment is EV+.

What would XC need to have or be for a major exchange to add it ?  (btc-e, stamp, finex) I feel XC is way ahead of DRK at the moment and we have yet to be recognized as such.
Only a matter of time.
XC community grow constantly.
XC volume is always in top 5 altcoins trading volume.
Most of top 5 altcoins are down a lot last few days/weeks (i suspect a lot of btc are ready to pump something) and XC price is mostly stable while our team keep delivering huge improvement.
XC team will never stop to deliver to the point where XC crush every other altcoins. XC will create a wave of innovation never seen before,  investors will not have the choice anymore.
Very high daily volume trade + huge community support will force big exchange to accept XC.
Next pumping phase of XC will attract of a lot of new investors (so volume + community >>>) because the field of altcoins already look pretty dry compared to XC devellopment.

yes, I mean it isn't like a IRC chat, where more user are connected and speak together in a main screen!
So why I need to talk to a unknown user directly to him?
Ok I could need some info, and by this I can have a quick answer, but I can have the same posting on the forum.
But I think the better solution will be when it'll be available on a mobile.

well Skype have been sold 8 billions to Microsoft in 2011.
When xc will have anonymous voice call (video maybe), encrypted messaging  going on mobile. I think there is some valu here Tongue

XCurrency-qt.exe -addnode=104.131.208.92 -addnode=104.131.207.232 -addnode=192.241.195.38

All works great Cheesy

Sorry offtopic but need to know:

Who is going to play some WCOOP events on pokerstars?

ontopic: Looking forward to the update this weekend!! GO TEAM

Screw you that you can play on PokerStars. Grin  I'm still waiting for my Fulltilt money to come back from the DOJ.  It's all going into XC of course.

Sad When PS took over FT the money was in my account

Why I asked was as follows: If someone with a proven (OPR with above avarage ROI) track record wants to take a shot. I'm more then willing to back and donate the winnings to the PR/DeFUD/Foundation/Etc to further our cause. So pokerpro's please respond.

We could also ask Phill Ivey, known BTC fanboy, if he is up for some sponsoring. Consequently bringing in some of his millions. BTW the first crypto to land on one of the mayor pokersite's will get a nice lead but will probably not happen due to legislation. Pokercommunity is ripe for coinage. PokerCoin launching in 3..... 2...... 1.....

Hmm....

Hahaha, ATCsecure is a poker junkie?  I new I loved this coin.  Are you on 2+2?

Seals with Clubs is probably the biggest BTC poker site and Bryan Micon hates alts.  Some of the other sites are starting to look into it as an option, but not sure.  The great thing about Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan  and other poker players sponsoring XC is they are action (gambling) junkies.  Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan would probably buy a few hundred thousand of XC just for shits and giggles.

Yes huge poker fan.. Although I haven't played online in ages

It would be very cool to get XC in front of these guys

Playing online poker for untraceable money? I'm in...

Lets raise money and develop a huge online poker platform dedicated for XC.

wow now i understand why isai sold ps.
i wasn't aware that decentralized poker network are actually created for bitcoin.

Decentralized poker network for XC?  with open source on card disctribution process to be sure it's totally random ...
would have to program some letters to tape every random time  to limit bot action...

with XC possibility are so infinite, i become crazy Smiley

I like the way this discussion is going. Very interesting.

What if we made an API and let third parties create stuff like this to get in on the XC action?

Pokersars allow deposit with Ukash, neteller, skrill, paysafecard (prepaid card) and entropay (prepaid card).
XC team or community would have to convince one of them.

It would be difficult to attract enought traffic. But a poker site with XC deposit/withdraw and low rake structure would be the nuts.
The rake is killing the game slowly ,average skill level increase every year and average winrate decrease but rake doesn't moove and stay completely out of line to the point where in pot limit omaha very few players can win long term at low/middle stake (<1$/2$). Not a lot of players arrive to moove up in stake as result high stake action are dry. For exemple a random regular at mid stake pay 100k$ rake per year , for the service he get it's completely crazy.
Professionals poker players have huge bankroll  who sleep in site as neteller or moneybookers, only minimum amount of bankroll stay  on poker site since black friday. They can't invest their bankroll because as soon as they experiment some variance they could need to reload their poker cashier pretty quick.
Some poker site as Partypoker charge 3% non capped for every withdraw to neteller.
If a professionnal poker player would have the opportunity to cash out their money on XC, and redeposit for free (low fees <1%) directly on poker site, it would be a great improvement, because they could invest their "sleeping money" (and stake 3%/ year) with their bankroll, they could still redeposit on poker site very quickly, they would not be charged 3% as partypoker do. They could moove their money anonymously (not too bad for taxes), pay directly with XC (nfc payement),withdraw cash (XC atm). Finally pokers players would not need bank account anymore.
i have read neteller is against bitcoin so i don't expect a third party to allow transfert (and low fees) from xc  -> 3nd party ->poker site soon.
Actually a poker player who want to invest a part of his bankroll in XC have for exemple to withdraw from neteller to bank account, then bank account to bitstamp, bitstamp to mintpal, finally they can buy xc after 1 week of transfert +  fees.
Big poker site company can't accept directly XC or bitcoin deposit because they want to act aswell on regulated market (usa, france, italie, spain), and they don't want to be accuse of money laundering.
Dan could create a XC to fiat decentralized exchange  where transfert from XC wallet to poker site in $  could be execute (as neteller) with low fees and instantaneously. Then XC team would have to convince big poker site to accept fiat deposit/widthdraw coming from XC decentralized exchange(would be the hardest part i guess).
I am a professional cash game poker player online for last 8 years and i would invest a lot more money on XC if i could instantaneously deposit/withdraw money with xc on poker site.

Ah fake pastebin logs.. whats next?

Anyways an updated release will be coming this weekend [Sunday Night], with both XChat and Decentralized Private Transactions in a single wallet for mainnet.

Wow, it sound like REV 2.5.

No preview of the UI yet. Also there's a Rev 2 privacy feature still to come... and then final Rev 2... and then Rev 2.5 :-)
Thanks for informations. what a plan!
Really happy to test the next wallet on mainnet.
XC team is really impressive!

Next PR campaign will attract a lot of attention with our EM working and our new futur project of anonymous voice call (and maybe video).
I can't wait to see the undisclosed anonymous feature!
Could it be possible to have an XC mail adress being able to communicate outside the XC network? For exemple sending a mail from XCwallet to xxx@hotmail.com adress.

Is it possible to do something like that? Or even better have xchat communicate to a Skype address? In terms of anonymity it would be a huge deal because you can remain anonymous
to all parties including the party you are communicating with.

I see the usefulness of this. It makes a lot of sense.

It should be easy to code, but it partly defeats the point. It'll involve trusting some server to send your message on to the recipient.

So although you might remain anonymous, your message will become vulnerable once it enters a centralised email/Skype system.

But hey, building an imap/smtp server and whatever Skype uses into the XC app doesn't sound impossible.

Thanks.
Even if the message could be compromise circulating through servers, sender identity would stay anonymous,ip adress would stay anonymous, no relationship proof could be find.
Next point, i would imagine a tag that show the origin source of the message or voice call, for exemple our XCpseudo + @XCplatform  or xxx@XCmail.
Basically each communication from xc wallet to outside wallet would be an advertising moove.
Non XC users receiving a mail or voice call would ask where does your adress come from...how is it working...Anonymous really? free really? ho but it's also a currency...
Best way to show real application to the mass and create the first and most important feeling of confidence that XC technology is working for real.

It would spread around the world XC existence really quick.
