41  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: What is your reason to gamble? Fun or profit? on: March 16, 2017, 09:28:14 PM
I enjoy to gamble for fun and if profit comes after along with it then so be it. I don't chase after my losses because that is a no no in gambling. Or you lose the fun of it along with your money/btc.

It is always good to play for fun, this way you wont really going to spend more than what you can afford. Most people that play for profit cant control what they are wagering therefore they ended up spending what they shouldnt. It happened to most however some logical gambler know exactly what they are doing

If you have made profits then it would be good to know your limits and quit at the same time instead of getting greedy and gamble more and more and if you do so then you will surely end up loosing in long run and its always good to gamble for fun with a small amount that you can afford to loose.
42  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Cricket match prediction discussions on: March 16, 2017, 09:22:34 PM
Took the risk and placed bet on Australia to win the match @4.6 pre-live and things are looking good for Aussies after day-1 as Smith scores a fantastic ton and Maxwell is on the way to score his . If Maxwell plays for another 20-25 overs then Aussies can easily reach 450+ as we all know what he can do.

Nicely done mate as your bet is looking good at the moment and like you said Australia can make 450+ runs but I would say that they need Smith to stick around for that to happen even though Maxwell does look good but sometimes it can go to his head and get carried away at times. So Smith is the one that can lead Australia to 450+ and Wade and Cummins can also bat well so I can't see why Australia should get at least 400+ runs.

Tomorrow's first session will be very crucial for India as they need to collect early wickets and restrict Australia going beyond 400 and if they don't then it will bring India under pressure and there is a full chance that Australia would get massive lead in first innings which can make game in their favor.
43  Economy / Gambling discussion / Re: Which bitcoin gambling site is your favorite place to go? on: March 16, 2017, 09:19:21 PM
My favorite gambling site is betcoin.ag. Not just cause I wear their signature, its cause I gamble there all the time. I like betcoin.ag cause I can combine casino games, poker and sports betting on one place. I`m there almost everyday, playing some of the games they offer, mostly poker of course, cause that is the game I like the most.

I think there are many better sites then betcoin.ag and I personally feel that you are saying this only because you are a part of their campaign but never mind its an individual choice where he finds easy and user friendly he will choose only that place to gamble and for me directbet.eu is the best site.
44  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 16, 2017, 09:17:05 PM
see the current situation makes me think that this is not the right time to sell bitcoin. Well, bitcoin prices higher over time, may hold him in a long time, probably about 3 or 4 months will show satisfactory results.

In my thinking, If in this time, we want to sell the bitcoin, than could sell them, it is highest price of bitcoin $1226. But if we hold the bitcoin for a short time than also we gain profit from our bitcoin. SO it is our choice to sell them or to hold them. I think both are good ways.
Bottom line is we just want to make profit in every decision we make, we sell of profit regardless of the amount then its good. We only hold if we
believe we can maximize our profit as we predicted the price will still rise more. That sometimes will lead us to losing an opportunity to sell as holding without a valid justification will only show that we are too greedy.

Yes indeed that's the bottom line as we look for profit in each and every step we take while buying bitcoin we want the price of bitcoin to  be less and while selling the bitcoin we want the price of bitcoin to be sky high and practically it's not possible until we do a proper research and follow the market trend.

I agree with you all we need is profit that's we we are hear spending our time and that's why people join signature campaign and it's human tendency he/she will always expect profit but bitcoin is so unique it's a test of our patience as i have seen in past where many user sell all of their bitcoin when there is a price drop but end up regretting later once it pumps up.

You nailed it even i made the same mistake by selling all the bitcoins i have stored during the value slump in the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 for which i still regret till date as the value has been increased by more than 3 times than what it was in 2015 as far as bitcoin is considered we need to have patience and trust if we need more profit and excel in bitcoin domain.

Yes selling is not at all a good option, even i did some time which i regret fully. there is no stopping of btc now, so we have to wait instead of selling when we feel that we are getting maximum profit from it then that time as well we should not sell all at once we have to sell some part of it and hold it for the future.

Selling them in small parts is always an good choice to make and majority of them should be saved for the future to so that it will help us in selling when price goes even higher higher as no one knows which is the highest price to sell bitcoins so make sure that you have enough bitcoins saved for the future.
45  Economy / Speculation / Re: Stop buying! on: March 16, 2017, 09:14:43 PM
People? do you believe what you post here?
i really start feel very strange with the things i read the last period... you keep all repeating that it won't go below $1k....
do you see the price or what?? the price has gone down the last 4 hours 60 euro! and if the next hours continues like this we go 3 digits

Bitcoin is a roller coaster ride and no one can predict what will exactly happen even in next hour either it will go higher or lower the only thing we can do is wait and watch and according to the situation take the decision either to buy or sell as price has gone down today and there is a full possibility that it will go even lower in next few days.
46  Economy / Economics / Re: Spending Bitcoins on: March 16, 2017, 09:03:46 PM
In my country bitcoin spending on my personal bills payment is really usefull because if the prompt service that they have. It will bring comfort to me and most of the users online using the wallet options. Now is the time for profitable investment to do with digital currency and we are now in the greener pasture of success.
I am glad to hear that your country has already accepted bitcoin for bills payment. I live in a country which Bitcoin is denied and no one even cares about it. There are only a few Bitcoin stores in my local area but it seems that they are not very profitable. Well, hope that the situation will change and more people will use bitcoin instead of Fiat
then you can be the pioneer, the first person who show how good bitcoin it is to peopole around you. don't wait until bitcoin become popular in your country but get start from yourself slowly , build a small business promote it with bitcoin inside .

the current problem are still on there few merchants accept bitcoin, make people hard to spend their bitcoin and choose to hold it all in the end.
This is a good idea, if bitcoin is not very known in your country, you can start a bitcoin related business and since you will have no competition then everyone will need to come to you to perform business with you, it seems like a good idea that can make you good money in the long term.

He can start a business related to bitcoins where he can accept bitcoin as a mode of payment but if people around him are not aware about bitcoins then he will not get enough traffic in his business and no one will be making payment with bitcoins as they have not even heard about it so how they gonna spend bitcoins on something if they don't have it.
47  Economy / Economics / Re: Investing Bitcoins? on: March 16, 2017, 09:00:47 PM
I have some investments in bitcoin casino, i made 5-10% profit / month Smiley

Nice! 5%-10% is a good percentage and profit for a monthly basis with bitcoin casino's. And that is what I wanted to suggest, you can try to invest with bitdice.me

But the most effective and best way to invest in bitcoin is by just simply buying it at lower price which is quite hard to make it happen again.

The new low price for bitcoin will be at $1,000.

Investing in bitcoin is best way of investing. before investing on something make sure you have best knowledge of the market, then save the btc which will give you best in return. best place to investing is nothing better than btc. just compare the investment value with any other way of investments, it is much better investing here in btc.

Yes and bitcoin itself is an best form of investment so if you are looking to invest your fiat in something then right place would be to invest in bitcoins and it will give you best returns in future in compare to other investment products.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: March 16, 2017, 08:58:24 PM
Bitcoin is hardly to be saved in a bank accept it is exchanged in a local currency of the land. This means that you must exchange bitcoin to the value of the local currency before you can make a deposit in the bank. i think bitcoin is mainly installed in the bitcoin wallet.

Yes it's up to you as you can save bitcoin  into bitcoin wallets like blockchain or coinbase i would suggest coinbase which is much simple and easy to use then once you have enough bitcoin then exchange it for your local currency from a trader at localbitcoin.com.

Hey great, even I am using coinbase wallet. Its seems to be good and as a security reason its not accepting VPN. Even I just created a account in Localbitcoins.com and I noticed when we transferred to this trading site wallet then its get logging in when we save the user and passkey. Please check and use both according to your convenience.

Yes even i am using this coinbase wallet i used to have blockchain earlier which was equally good but when it comes to convenience and user friendliness then coinbase is the best wallet and it does not accept VPN which proves that while begin user friendly and simple it's secure as well and for desktop Electrum is best.

Yeah even I am using electrum wallet since long time and it has great security features which keeps your bitcoins intact and would be impossible for an hacker to stole your bitcoins and whenever I want to sell my bitcoins I transfer that amount to my localbitcoins wallet where I can sell them online and transfer the fiat currency directly to my bank account in the fastest way possible.

Yes electrum wallet is the best option and it has the best security features, regarding to the saving of bitcoin i think it is best idea to save btc, if we just look at the way it has progressed from some day so we must for some more days so that price goes much higher so that we can utilize it later,
saving is a good option but along with that we have to make sure we invest at the right things to get the best benefit of our btc.

If you don't find any legit place to invest your bitcoins then best choice would be to save them in wallet and wait for the price to go higher as keeping money in bitcoins is saving and also a investment at a same time and saving money in bitcoins will grow your money even if you don't do anything with it and it will give best outcome in compare to saving money in banks.

Whatever is said, the best thing to do as of now at least is to keep calm and save btc. Not only comparing to the bank, including all the part of investment the best investment path is in btc. just look at the profit which we get from it. whether you gamble or whatever you do make sure to keep the btc saved for the future.

Gambling will waste your money so it will be ideal not to visit those places where we have fear of loosing money and the best thing to do with bitcoins at a moment is simply keep them safe in wallet and watch the market and when it goes higher would be the best time to sell them.
49  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Do you save bitcoin for fun or for future purpose? on: March 16, 2017, 08:56:08 PM
People usualy don't save for fun but because of need and will to have some funds for the rainy days and future that will give them the feeling of security. So, the same thing is with Bitcoins with the added value that Bitcoin is also an investment so with saving Bitcoins people hope for the future profit. If the profit means fun then I save it for the fun.
You can save for fun, you could save to take a vacation in an exotic place you always wanted to visit, or you could save to buy clothes or video games, phones computers or almost anything that gives you personal satisfaction, so saving is not only for those that want to take preventive measures.

I think its good not to spend them on buying clothes or video games as that can be easily done with fiat so it would be best if you try to save them for future and try grab maximum benefits when you see higher price by selling them at a right time.
50  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What do you like best about bitcoin? on: March 16, 2017, 08:53:02 PM
I like its decentralized nature and the ability to access your funds 24/7. It's also a global payment processor and makes moving funds even to the remotest of places easy.

That's right and the only thing you need is a computer and internet connection and it can be sent to any corner of the world with least fees and that makes it more attractive and you don't have to depend on the banks for your transactions where they impose heavy charges on transactions.
51  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: March 07, 2014, 12:32:23 AM
I will be manually handling high unexchanged balances and address corrections first thing tomorrow morning. I'm sorry for the delay.

Hope its soon my Total Expected has droped from 0.023 to 0.0185 over the last 2 days almost 3 without any payout i had to switch pools so i could get payouts to change over while coins are at a high price.
52  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: March 05, 2014, 01:51:43 AM
It can take days after a round is ended for the coin to mature and be traded. So you have to be patient. I suspect that it won't always be like this but for now it is what it is.

so why is hashcows so slow to do it ? when others arent even coinsolver a smaller pool converts the coins the same day.
53  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][Pool][Profit-Switch][Optional Auto-Exchange per Coin][Vardiff] ~ Hashcows on: March 05, 2014, 12:39:25 AM
Duno what to think about hashcow, for me it shows after 24h "0.00202181 Confirmed Exchanged Balance" for 1,5 Mh. Thats far away from that what what http://stats.hashco.ws/en/profit or http://poolpicker.eu/text.php tells us, but i will test it 24h longer.

thats pretty much my problem to im getting less then if i mined ltc directly with half my hash and id stil make 5x more probly wondering where the stats are from and if maybe the pools having problems.
54  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 21, 2014, 10:40:33 AM
With SGminer v4.1, "zuikkis" kernel and arguments of: --expiry 1 --queue 1 --scan-time 1

Reject rate: 4.29%
Hash rate: 730 khsec
Location: Australia
Elapsed mining time: 2hrs.

those have gave me my best results even tho some people here claim expiry and scan-time is for solo mining only.
55  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Pools (Altcoins) / Re: [ANN][AUTO-SWITCH] Profit-switch auto-exchange pool: CleverMining.com on: February 21, 2014, 02:30:02 AM
Oi, no anger.. just confusion.

I have a steady ping of 80ms to us.clevermining.com, but i'm still seeing 27% reject rate. I like how Clevermining is setup, but that's almost 10x the loss of other pools, some of which have even worse pings to the server from my location.

Could we get an explanation of what's happening? It doesn't seem to just be a network connection issue..

try changing settings i played with  mine for a few days now im below the pools avg usualy.

Hmm,

would you mind to share your config..? I'd agree with you, but if I change to waffle, (or even middlecoin), suddenly my rejects drop to almost nothing)

If your config is getting you low rejects, I'd super appreciate knowing the values you're using. :-)

sure i use sgminer 4.1 and heres my 2 configs 1 for 7970x2 and 1 for 5870 and 6950

Bal3wolf being a boss again. thank you! Smiley recommend any kernels for 280x?

http://bal3wolf.centelia.net/MINING/lantis_bins.zip

the lantis bins for 7970s should work the one for 8192 works best for me just rename the lantis bin for 8192 to match whatever file name you have when you set thread to 8192 and use int 13 with look up gap 2

decided to try this pool to compare to others but my rejects are at like 30-40% i played with scantimes and expiring and qua nothing seems to help any tips or point me to a post that has some info.

Try set lower Intensity, as far as I understand scan-time and expiring doesn't matter because they are SOLO mining parameters, but queue should be 0.

not sure about that i have been able to get higher work utility and less rejects tweaking scan and expire and if they were solo only why would veox go to the trouble of changing and tweaking them in his sgminer.

finaly got all my rigs peforming way i want and down to 3.3% rejects coins so far seem low for a 2.5MH setup but i havet mined a full 24hrs and should give it atleast 2 days to build up a buffer befor i judge how much it will make me a day.  Would be nice if it showed someplace or if it does i missed it how much its avging a day for per MH.
