41  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin price on: March 17, 2017, 04:38:05 PM
Is it wise to buy in bitcoins now at a so high price($1171)?
Do you think it is going to rise a new high level?

Buy Buy Buy - $2000 buy mid year  Grin

Still lots of room to get to my $2,000 level!

Hasn't really changed much from $1171 though too  Undecided

Yes there are more chances of bitcoin's value increasing to $2000 by rapid fire and suggest you this is the best time to invest into bitcoin if we wait for a price drop then we will end up seeing a price pump up rather than slump.
42  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see $1300 again? on: March 16, 2017, 05:21:13 PM
Not true. We aleady know that Solid X etf will be denied, trust me. COIN ETF wasnt denied because the ETF itself but because Bitcoin. SEC said that Bitcoin his marketcap was to small, and that nobody could audit Bitcoin etc. So Solid X will be denied too. The decrease now is because of technical problems like BU and scaling. So thats also why altcoins like DASH got pumped.

Yes i know bitcoin is going through some tough challenges ahead but i ma sure there will be some sort of solution for this and bitcoin will have a clear future.
43  Economy / Speculation / Re: Sell or wait? on: March 16, 2017, 05:18:50 PM
see the current situation makes me think that this is not the right time to sell bitcoin. Well, bitcoin prices higher over time, may hold him in a long time, probably about 3 or 4 months will show satisfactory results.

In my thinking, If in this time, we want to sell the bitcoin, than could sell them, it is highest price of bitcoin $1226. But if we hold the bitcoin for a short time than also we gain profit from our bitcoin. SO it is our choice to sell them or to hold them. I think both are good ways.
Bottom line is we just want to make profit in every decision we make, we sell of profit regardless of the amount then its good. We only hold if we
believe we can maximize our profit as we predicted the price will still rise more. That sometimes will lead us to losing an opportunity to sell as holding without a valid justification will only show that we are too greedy.

Yes indeed that's the bottom line as we look for profit in each and every step we take while buying bitcoin we want the price of bitcoin to  be less and while selling the bitcoin we want the price of bitcoin to be sky high and practically it's not possible until we do a proper research and follow the market trend.

I agree with you all we need is profit that's we we are hear spending our time and that's why people join signature campaign and it's human tendency he/she will always expect profit but bitcoin is so unique it's a test of our patience as i have seen in past where many user sell all of their bitcoin when there is a price drop but end up regretting later once it pumps up.

You nailed it even i made the same mistake by selling all the bitcoins i have stored during the value slump in the end of 2015 and beginning of 2016 for which i still regret till date as the value has been increased by more than 3 times than what it was in 2015 as far as bitcoin is considered we need to have patience and trust if we need more profit and excel in bitcoin domain.
44  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Saving bitcoins on: March 16, 2017, 05:10:23 PM
Bitcoin is hardly to be saved in a bank accept it is exchanged in a local currency of the land. This means that you must exchange bitcoin to the value of the local currency before you can make a deposit in the bank. i think bitcoin is mainly installed in the bitcoin wallet.
if the point is about saving bitcoins in some safed place - why not to chose one of bitcoin wallets? There are different kinds today. And it's right that novadays to hold bitcoins in a bank you need to cash it out in fiat of your country first, becouse there are no banks that would work with bitcoin directly today.

Bitcoin wallet are there to store bitcoin as banks don;'t deal with bitcoin directly yes i agree with you i am still wondering by this question which has been posted because all the bitcoin users know that they need a wallet to store bitcoin and that's the only way to store bitcoin there are different type of wallets like paper wallet, desktop wallet like electrum.
45  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Where to Invest BTC? on: March 16, 2017, 05:07:32 PM
When you study carefully the alt coins on the different exchanges and read into them, you can make some huge profits. But
I only use a small amount of bitcoins to trade. The majority is in cold storage as a long term investment, at least until the
next halving in 2020

That was a smart decision to have majority of bitcoin in cold storage and use only a bit of it as we know that the value of bitcoin will reach a new level in couple of years so investing a small amount of bitcoin into trading then making a capital out of it will be a good decision as well.

47  Economy / Speculation / Re: When will we see $1300 again? on: March 15, 2017, 01:08:14 PM
I think for some period price will remain in this range as Bitcoin has entered in correction phase. Just look at the price floating which is between 1200-1280 tells many thing by itself. In my opinion seeing 1300$ is not big deal but we will see first more stable floor before next rally.

Correction phase already passed when Bitcoin staying above $1200 since 2 days after 200$ dump, and now it's further growing. It's a positive sign that after huge dump price back to normal in short time. I think it will start it's rally to $1300 soon within couple of days.

Exactly, the price increase could not be stopped, probably a lot of people who've already sold it, they fear if price drop again, thankfully, I never sell bitcoin during last 6 months because I'm sure the price can reach $2.000 this year.

Yes you are right and your point is valid because most of the people have sold their bitcoin assuming that the price will drop again just like how it happened briefly in the beginning of 2016 but then couple of months later we saw that the bitcoin price has been increased by huge leaps and bounce so we should not sell bitcoin as of now and i am sure by the end of 2019 the  base price for bitcoin will be $2000 just like how it is $1000 now.
48  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: What are the biggest mistakes you've done with Bitcoin? on: March 15, 2017, 01:04:03 PM
As the topic says, What are the biggest mistakes you've done with Bitcoin?

I'm trying to gather just a list on things that have gone wrong. This can be terrible backup stories, client hacks, reversing at MtGox and such.
I don't want to gather a list of hacks of commercial sites in particular because there are plenty of information on that already.

I will post everything I find on this very simple website:
http://sites.google.com/site/whoissatoshi/bitcoin-mistakes

Don't be shy!

EDIT: Please add some context, interesting details etc to make it a nice story.

The biggest mistakes I've ever made was, when I sell all my bitcoin at 800$, which I shouldn't do it, it was so very regrettable because look at the price now almost 1251$ and worst in my part its getting more higher in the coming weeks. So now I'm starting again to buy bitcoin little by little and I won't sell it until it didn't reach 5000$.

That's the same mistake most of us did by selling our bitcoin for lesser price then later regretting about it and i have seen two type of people one those newbie who sell all their bitcoin once there is a drop in the price and the other ones are those who sell all their saved bitcoin once the price reaches at peak assuming that it might crash down anytime.
49  Economy / Economics / Re: Bitcoin or gold? on: March 13, 2017, 05:06:54 PM
Both, because both are very valuable in my opinion, where the price of gold is sometimes the price goes up so does bitcoin.two invaluable

I would say 25 % for gold which is for a long term and slow profit but 75 % for bitcoin with a lot of market research and keeping myself updated for a good profit in short span of time then making a capital out of those profit and investing 50% of it into bitcoin and 50% into trading for that even it ends up in failure it will be the capital made up of profit but it will never happen as bitcoin has gained stability with few fluctuations.
50  Economy / Speculation / Re: Bitcoin on its way to $1,300 on: March 13, 2017, 05:03:27 PM
The price will decrease this week. Tomorrow in USA there will be some new announcement about some taxes if i am right. And wednesday the chinese exchanges open again. I am not sure that there will be a crash so i hold and look how the storm passes.

I don't think there will be any drop in the price and even if there is any drop then it will be very minimal for a very short span of time then again bitcoin will regain it's value and have you noticed whenever there is a drop in the price when it increases the price increase will be much more than the dip so it's better not to sell bitcoin in panic if the value slumps because it will surely rise again.
51  Other / Off-topic / Re: How are you earning BTC? on: March 13, 2017, 04:56:52 PM
i earn BTC on my ways

1. Capctha solver
2. microworkers , etc

and i used all for gambling  Sad

Good for a newbie and also learn as much as you can about bitcoin because bitcoin is the future so that once your rank gets promoted you can join signature campaign for extra income and if you are good in designing logo then you can earn in that as well and also in designing. Finally once you master the process of bitcoin then start trading with minimal amount and excel gradually.
52  Bitcoin / Bitcoin Discussion / Re: Bitcoin Future on: March 13, 2017, 04:52:17 PM
Hey everyone,

I have just started college doing software development so am new to all this. I am just wondering why there are not more bitcoin related sites out there that are bitcoin related ? I always thought of bitcoin to be a well supported thing and when I look at crowdfunding sites or bitcoin lotto sites they are of very poor quality. Why has no one decided to take these further and build something the bitcoin community can be proud of ?

I realise there is a lot of scamming involved in the bitcoin world but surely a trusted person on here or within the community could build such sites ?

Also I am very excited about learning to code and would love any tips on how to improve. It would
be greatly appreciated so in the future I could be part of something special and develop a
project with other like minded people Smiley
It would be greatly appreciated if guys like you that have passion and dedication in the improvement of this community have an idea like this. Like you said you are still learning and I wish that along the way don't get blinded by money be a good programmer that help bitcoiners, this community, and ordinary people collaborate and help each other as a whole.

I really appreciate your efforts in appreciating this young geek because we need more passionate programmers like his to keep the scammers at the bay to make bitcoin scam free and this will win trust of more people and even they will start using bitcoin which will benefit our bitcoin community and even i am surprised to see there are many people out there who wants to be a programmer and designer for bitcoin itself which was not the case before 2 years.
53  Economy / Exchanges / Re: How do I buy bitcoins? on: March 13, 2017, 04:46:37 PM
if you want to buy  btc you can go some changes.

Please leave a clear note which should help those who are in need of the information like for those who are looking to purchase bitcoin you can refer them at localbitcoin so that they can trade their fiat currency with the bitcoin and to be honest it will be our responsibility to give more visibility to bitcoin community since we are the one who have knowledge about this charismatic bitcoin.
54  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Bitcoin wallet recommendation on: March 13, 2017, 04:43:30 PM
For you the best option is blockchain.info, you will have the control of your coins but remember activate all the security measures to stay safe. If you are very paranoid with security you will can buy a hardware wallet later and transfer your bitcoins there.

Yes blockchain is much safer when compared to other wallets but you need to make sure you remember your credentials or else you will lose access to your bitcoins and also it depends on the amount of bitcoin you have to store if it is huge then the best way is going for hardware wallet rather that digital wallet if you want to be on safer end. But in general blockchain is very safe and i use coinbase because of it's user friendly feature without compromising on the level of security.

56  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: October 15, 2015, 12:24:36 AM
Ok, looks like noone noticed my question, so one more time:

@BTCJamSupport: Just being curious - it's arbitration here, arbitration there - how many successful arbitrations already passed?

Support is non existent at BTCJAM, they just care to do what they like for who they decided to. The rest they don't care one inch
57  Economy / Service Announcements / Re: [ANN] BTCJam - Peer to Peer Bitcoin Lending on: October 13, 2015, 10:11:13 PM
Ok,

so I remained silent for a while but now I really want to make a serious BAD comment about BTCJAM

I had been warned by some fellow investors that at the moment they were doing some serious favoritism towards for example their

"Brazilian" friends for example, I was pretty skeptic but seems it is indeed true.

I am Freak*** A rated had previous loans, and now I am indeed in need of a small loan, they just continuously delete the loan post.

Also had one of the BTCjam employees that called me when I posted the first time the loan, explained all that there was to explain, loan got deleted,
emailed support that told me that with 250$ monthly I could not apply for a loan.

I was like.. WTF 250 monthly!? where the hell do they get that from? I got salary verified a while ago already and needles to say my salary alone is WAY more than 250$ lol ( I really don't know where they got that from )

Like I told your staff, that's just the sum I pay monthly already for my storage, without taking into account my rent, my bills etc etc etc..

So of course when I did send an email where the hell they could think I can live of 250$ per month I got an email back to post the loan again and that they would call me to sort things out.

Well guess what. Did just that, loan got deleted again and of course support ignores all emails.

PS: a company that deletes even the slightest comment on their Facebook like "Is there someone to answer support as why my loan gets deleted?"
has some serious issues to hide any negative views towards it.

I lost as an investor money on BTCjam towards people they accepted with like E ratings and they do not even accept a loan demand from an A grade person that even would be A+ if they would have an agreement with my bank to verify my card and bank

So yeah, sorry to say this but I'm very disappointed in Jam as an old member there.
