What is going on with the sudden myr-groestl network difficulty, it was always between 5000-9000 , now its 22000 to 64000 ...what's up with that? Are there some new myr-groestl Asic's? Or some new batch of Asic's for diffrent algos affecting the overall network? I think the network from every diffrent algo was affected by some procentage of the other networks or something like that? Am i right?

I dont understand the sudden interest in mining digibyte with myr-groestl algorithm ...the network diff went up from 5000-9000 to wooping 26000-64000 ..what's up with that?
45  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.6 (Windows/Linux) on: September 22, 2017, 04:37:58 PM
This thread is huge so my issue might already have a solution. I configured this version for my HD 5700 1GB. I know it's old and not that powerful, but it's what I have for now. When I start it, everything looks good until the starts actually attempting to mine,  I am getting an error message saying GPU #0 returned incorrect data: random 6 characters in all red. Tried rebooting, clean uninstall of drivers, reinstall latest AMD drivers, tried 15.12 drivers (weren't compatible with my video card) still not working.  Anyone else see this and/or have a fix?
Try raising the voltage a bit, or downclocking the memory......amd has driver issus's for older cards, even with cars such as 7970(special one's, with custom onboard h/w controllers)....sometimes they freeze for no appperent reason.....it is something to do with the memory controller/software control....It is not fixed in ages.

Aurora Coin myr-groestl pool is down for couple of days? Because i dont see any hashrate on the pool...is it an error on the web-site?

49  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: May 05, 2017, 04:07:48 PM
@Socket54 , i think you are having problem with the power draw...check cables and everything....if you elemenate all problems with cabling, try mesuaring inside you PSU, capacitors etc with multimeter

@CharNoir , try with significant downclock on the memory of the problematic card, or maybe slight downclock, you can check what are the best settings after a while...for exemple, my 7970 is stable on 1300 Mhz (patched bios) , but sometimes i can run for hours with 1315 Mhz....

Why no one mines on this pool? https://zecmine.pro  ? It has 0% fee ...i'm currently mining on https://zclmine.pro and it is super fast and adorable profit. But, we have to work out zec pool, only 2 miners :/

where can i find custom bios for club 3d 280x hynix ?
You can made it youself. Just search via google "Tahiti bios modding". I can made it for you. Give me your bios rom, I make mod.

It is just change the memory timing. It is less effect now as the new miner use the core a lot.
Yeap, this is true...the new version atributes better with core then memory

Also, I think suprnova's pool is better then flypool's....

I'm getting 330 h/s in 12.4 with modded 7970
56  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: April 12, 2017, 09:42:42 PM
12.4 version for the win...you just have to figure it out....ive tested 12.2 and 12.0 ....nothing beats 12.4....im using moded 7970 and 290X ....290X is always on default because i'm having heat issues..it is in my case...but 7970 is doing fine, 1300-1325 on the memory ...and 1125 on the core....The problem with the 12.4 is that it is way to much optimized actually Smiley thus is more power hungry...and memory intensive ...that's why you are having stability issues ....you must check ur psu cabling, ur PSU stability....in one word general system stability.  12.0 and 12.2 are more lightly on the system and thats why in general you are thinkig that you are having better results....but, if all is good, 12.4 is the best version. Trust me, i too was having problems at the beginning...done some re-flashing on the bios(es), changing volts on the gpus...frequencys....in the end i found that 7970 works better with 1325 max on memory frequency.....also modded 290X is having problems with higher freq on memory and high -intensity at the same time....back down the intensity settings...i find it -i5 and -6 works ok with 7970 ....for 290X -6 , -7 and -9 (if i'm not on my pc)
57  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Mining (Altcoins) / Re: Claymore's ZCash AMD GPU Miner v12.4 (Windows/Linux) on: April 12, 2017, 04:42:56 PM
I get the following error using 12.4 on windows 10 with AMD 15.12 driver.
It takes a few days before it happens. I have tested it with flypool also.

Etherion, can you tell me the specs of your system? what cards are the firts 5? from GPU0 to GPU4 ? are they 7970/280x? ...also the last three, are they R9 290X/390X ? I can guess, if you are using 15.12 drivers.....for 7970/280X best intensity is 6 ....tryed with 7 , they do better job with -i 6 , so you wanna do that ....set -i 9 for the faster cards, and -6 for the slower one's ...
If u think it is a bug with the miner, then dont use , -tt , tstop, -di , -a and -r 1 commands....you don't need them basicaly. If you want to control the temp, just set it in the drivers control panel , SET 87 Celsius max temperature for all cards. Also, there is auto restart whatch dog auto command build in the miner if something is wrong with the cards or system, the miner restars itself.
Pls do tell the specs of yout system, i'm very curios if you are using all 8 cards on 1 PSU Smiley ...Last summer/fall i was having touble with old Cooler Master Vaunguard 850W (seasonic tier 1 psu) , with just one moded and overclocked 7970,  290X (default) and overclocked Q9550 .....Every single connector had fryed :/ literary, pci-e, sata's and cpu connectors, every single one of them, on both ends  PSU-GPU vice versa Smiley although the 290X connectors are fine, the 7970 ones i had to replaced them ...... I had to replaced 6 or 7 capacitors in order to fix the PSU and came back in life Smiley
In my personal opinion, u should check entire system, cables, stability of the system....i dont think you have a stable system there...

BTW, I noticed that cards with lower asics value has better downvolt results.

Lol it looks like that. I don't trust this "asic quality" bs anyways. I mean the asics ARE different, but whatever gpu-z shows has no meaning/use for me.
Depending on the algo (starting with ethash and getting the best out of cards) you can run core and mem from 854mv
BTW, I noticed that cards with lower asics value has better downvolt results.

Cards with lower Asics have VRM's that signals higher voltage then cards with higher asics. Cards with higher asics their VRM signals lower voltage, so lowering the voltage do tend to make problems. So that is why, cards with lower asics works better with undervolting Smiley Cant' explain better then this in layman's terms Smiley

- But, all summed up, the total power consumption is equivalent in both cases, wheter you think that the card with lower asic can be undervolt lower....basically you get the same result as the cards with higher asics, ...in the end, the power consumption is the same. Wink

dwarwpool is so fast, lets make it great pool, it needs more workers. It does not need ssl/tlc connection btw...you dont need to worry about 2.5 dev fee

Just thought I'd put in my .02 on mining with the 480's.

I have my cards set at 1333Mhz Core clock, 2100Mhz memory. I noticed that for some reason, my Powercolor Red Devil 480's actually throttle at 80C. I really have no idea why, and I was only getting like 190 sol's, tops. And I noticed my core clock and voltage were dropping.

Only when I applied a really aggressive fan curve, and kept my temps down below 80C, more like 78C, was my core and mem clocks going back to where I set them. At that 1333/2100 I'm getting about 203 sol/s per card. So do be sure to check that out in Afterburner, or whatever program you're using. I don't know why they're throttling so low. I do know that they never even came close to 80c when gaming at stock fan settings, so since this card seems to already run really cool anyway, they may have set it that way in BIOS or something. But just something to keep in mind, folks.

You can always modify the bios with Polaris bios editor....raise the throtling temp, it has very simple user interface, you can done it by without asking for help if you have general knowledge for Computer's.
