42  Alternate cryptocurrencies / Announcements (Altcoins) / Re: [BCN] Bytecoin (CPU-mining, true anonymity) on: June 03, 2014, 06:33:05 PM
So i tried to run the CPU Miner on my Win 8 x64. Aaaand it did not work. Oh god why.

Hmm i remember somebody here complaining about it maybe couple weeks ago

You should have looked for it then.
Here. Not really helpful though.

Does not work on win 8.1 x64. Looks like it is a common problem. Is there a difference between cpuminer and simpleminer in hash rate?

Merged mining is what crypto currencies need now. It allows to use resources effectively and as miner I would like to use this feature. Thanks FantomCoin for this ability..I don’t understand authors of BitMonero, why the didn’t they implement merged mining?? Huh Huh

45  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Mining? on: May 02, 2014, 02:50:00 AM
Can anyone recommend a good(the best) miner hardware in the markets right now? The best bang for your bucks of course. Is it even worth mining anymore? Estimated ROI?

The best way to make money on bitcoins is to buy as much coin as you can afford right now.

Most people believe the price of bitcoin will go up.

You then sell the coins for a lot more profit than you will make mining.

I doubt this is the best solustion in this case.
IMO that it's better to mine altcoins with a good rep and than change it to btc so there is less financial losses.
46  Other / Beginners & Help / Re: Wallet fee? on: May 02, 2014, 02:39:51 AM
I would send the standard fee where possible- if you don't, transactions can take a long time to confirm or may not confirm at all.

Indeed, once I was so angry about myself as I was greedy and the confirmaton didn't get for a long time. As far as I remember it took 4 or 5 days to confirm it

48  Economy / Speculation / Re: How many bitcoins do I need to retire in 20 years? on: April 30, 2014, 06:56:39 PM
IMO, that's really depends on many factors
1) how long are you going to live?
2) what amount  in your opinion is enough to live?
3) how BTC price will change as no one can tel you cause it's too volatile and young now to make long-term forecast
